I tend to forget that there is a pretty good shoe section and clothing section.
They also have home, appliances, small appliances and furniture departments like a big department store would.

I like shopping there for cosmetics because they have Chanel, MAC and Origins and plus, I get HBC points for the purchases that I make there.

As soon as we got off the train, we were immediately in the bay department store. Being the first time, it was confusing to try to find were I was, but I figured it out.

I mentioned this was a department store, and they even had a small dental clinic in there next to the kids section.

The bay seems to be directly part of a shopping district.

Anyways, We bought our son Striderite shoes and it was cheaper than the other pair we previously bought.

Came here for a batter change in my watch one day.
Once I found the watch repair kiosk (it's a bit of a trek to find it), service was quick, friendly and inexpensive.

While waiting for my watch I took some time to wander around. This location is miles better than any of the suburban locations, and not just because they sell Red Canoe gear. Selection across all their departments (well men's departments) is fantastic.

Down by the Bay, where the watermelons grow, back to my home I dare not go....
Ok here's the thing with the Bay, they usually have lots of cool shit, but finding your way around and finding someone to help you can be a challenge. It's a department store thing. I never get lost in regular stores or have trouble finding help (getting their attention is another story, but I can usually find them at least) but department stores are so freakin big that I feel like a mouse in a maze trying to find cheese.

You can find some good sales at the Bay, I have found some pretty good ones in the kitchenware department. I got a gift card for like $150 or something, so I decided to buy a new frying pan (the better to hit the BF with when he misbehaves), a cupcake tray (which I love), an upside down cake pan (I can't remember the other name for them) and a slow cooker. Almost everything was on sale, so I almost got all of it with my gift card. We also bought some good bedsheets since my stinky dog ripped a big hole in my fitted sheet when he farted. I kid you not. That dog is rancid. We ended up going down to the Bay on Boxing Day in hopes of a sale on bedsheets but unfortunately there wasn't anything not "normal" enough for us. We ended up buying Ralph Lauren (I am saying it in that snooty voice cuz it was *that* expensive) leopard print sheets instead.

Overall, I like the Bay, they are probably my least hated department store, and they have some good stuff.

What happened to The Bay? I feel like it went from over-priced, garbage brands in a pretty junky looking department store to this fabulous, well thought out (still slightly overpriced) but incredibly desirable upscale place to be.

So The Bay definitely re-branded a bit, their heritage Bay items range from a candle to a canoe and all of them would be welcome at my house.  Their blankets are still to die for.   The whole section is worth a browse just for the sake of seeing what they've come up with for their yellow, blue, green and red.

I've used their jewelry repair and their optical and both didn't disappoint.  In fact, I'd recommend The Bay Optical, they were fast, cheap and I was really pleased with the outcome of my visit.

The Bay now has TOP SHOP and Top Man.  ooooh I've been waiting forever for Top Shop in Canada.

    Mac is in The Bay.

Kitchenware is great, electronics okay, but for me it's all about the ladies wear..

I can't get enough of The Bay.

Top Shop is here!  Top Shop is here!  Top Shop is here!!!

If you haven't heard of Top Shop, it is London's leading clothing store.  They collaborate with celebrities, the most popular collection being with Kate Moss.

The Bay has really reinvented themselves as I saw brands such as Free People, Juicy and BCBG to name a few on the top floor.  (Ladies fashion)
And now... Top Shop finally is added to the bunch and I cannot be more thrilled!  It's not a full sized store, but a capsule store inside The Bay in Pacific Centre.

I'm excited that "The Room" finally opened up.
Its a nifty little place to browse instead of Holts.
Can't deal with that kind of an atmosphere anymore. Spent enough time and money in there to keep dealing with their unprofessional behavior, which they seem to like staffing their store with, but anyhow.. I loveeeee

The Room, you can get quite lost in there, but there is tons to look at, smaller sections than at Holts, but bright, less pressure, things are on more of a discount than Holts ever will be hold.

I wandered around looking around at all the merchandise, sizes were slim pickin's since they were having discount on almost everything that was in there, but it was good to know, theres a place that carries Azzadine Alaia, Halston Heritage & Giambattista Valli all under the same roof.

Definitely a place to check out!

One of the last great downtown box stores, I like it better than Sears and they are the clearance centre for all the other bay stores so there is almost a super sale every month (discounted prices then another 1/2 off!)

    Great value overall

"Take 40% off the last ticketed price" Now that's my kind of sign and one you'll often see at The Bay. Seriously, I don't know how they do it!

I often find shopping here frustrating, especially trying to get help in the shoe department. That said, it's pretty much always good for a deal. They do carry a good stock of leggings, stockings, tights.

On this latest trip we were in the market for lingerie which included one of us getting properly fitted for a bra. The ladies know what they're doing in that area! While my friend was taking care of that I was trying on sexy items in the crazy mark-down section. Got a super cute piece that makes me feel like a million $$ but only cost $15! I also got 5 for $25 of their La Lingerie panties that are really pretty, amazingly soft and comfortable.

The Bay is good for basics!

I want to love it here. The building is steeped in history. There's floors upon floors to explore. Truthfully, when I'm on the furniture floor (and a few of the dingier areas on other floors, I feel like I'm in that old 80s kids show: Today's Special http://www.youtube.com...

There's some great shoes, accessories, cosmetics, housewares to be bought! But there's something lackluster about the way it all comes together. It's either that, or the years of dust that seems to settle on the air. I haven't been to the floors upstairs for a while, but the skytrain level is a pretty dingy place, save for the Nespresso bar.

When there's a sale, I put my head down, march straight into the department I'm shopping in (usually kitchenware), do what I'm there to do (having done my research online first), and march right out. Why? Because there's a pretty low chance any truly helpful or knowledgeable assistance will come by. Case in point: staff in the kitchenware department (basement) once led me to blenders when I asked for some advice on a juicer. But that aside, if you can shrug off the solitary feeling you get when there are so few souls around, it's a good place for a deal. Just nabbed a Demsey carry-on roller bag for 60% off!

I'm hopeful that the renovations they've put into the street level floor will be carried through the whole building and one day soon it will be the beautiful, sparkling epitome of shopping culture that it is in my mind.

Oh The Bay. I have a soft spot for you in my heart...I don't know how you are still in business after all these years but I am happy that you are.

I found myself in the odd situation yesterday where I needed to purchase arm warmers on the cheap. My McGiver instincts took over and I thought...hmmm long socks with holes would do the trick! So i wandered over to see what was available in the mens section...took me about 3 min to find some black knee length socks for $6! Plus you know whever you go to the till at The Bay you get an extra sweet discount somehow.

But please stop pushing The Bay card on me... NO means NO!

I love the Bay. I've always shopped at the Bay since I was little kid back home and, aside from that one time I went there when I was teen to get a free make-up session at one of those booths and came out looking like a street lady, I've always found it to be the best go-to place for everything you need during the summer sales. It's so much easier when it's one-stop shopping!

The recently renovated second floor has made the Bay my favourite shoe shop. I love the set up and the selection, and the people are so friendly there. The women's clothing section on the 3rd floor is also a popular spot for me, since they've got such a large variety of brands and sales going on each week.

The only place I've yet to venture into is the make-up area, and it's not because of my bad experience mentioned above. It's just that those people look so desperate for someone to try their product that it intimidates me bit...

But overall, I've gone to the Bay for clothes, shoes, accessories, kitchenware and bedding since I've moved downtown. It's become a staple to check when I'm on the look out for something, and I'm so happy it's finally investing some money into renovations!

The Bay in Downtown Vancouver greatly surpasses all other suburban mall locations that you may have been to. First of all, the building is lovely. Second of all, it is HUGE. You can find anything and everything here. For example, I have (at one time or another) purchased makeup, perfume, clothes, shoes, underwear, wine glasses, a gift for a newborn baby, and a couch here. I am always impressed by the furniture section and the amount of fashion designers that The Bay carries (I previously thought that I had to go down to the US to Nordstrom or Macy's to find certain brands, until I found them at The Bay in Downtown Vancouver).

Customer service varies by floor. On some floors you will find someone to help you right away. On other floors you will be left wandering looking for somebody (anybody) to help you or tell you where the changing rooms are.

Still, it has become something of a Vancouver icon. After all, it has survived the Olympics and at least one notorious hockey riot. Despite the fact that this company is sadly now owned and run by Americans, it is worth a look. And it is also conveniently located above a major transit hub (both the Canada Line and the Expo/Millenium lines stop under the store at Granville Station).

The Bay is run down and sad.

The main floor is more nicely designed than its other floor and as you travel upward on the escalator, each floor becomes more bizarre and depressing (i.e. kinda ghetto).  I went to the top floor a couple weeks ago to look at vacuums and it had creaky, uneven floors and all the ambience of a hostel.

I've found staff to be hard to find if you have questions and not all that friendly when you track them down.  Selection is so-so and prices not all that great.  Only worth shopping if there is a major sale, otherwise it's worth the drive south of the border.

It's only saving grace is the Nespresso shop tucked away in the basement area.

I found that the customer service has greatly improved at The Bay.  The customer service representatives were really friendly.  They came around the side of the counter and handed me the bag.  This is compared to previous years where they handed the bag to me over the counter.  The dressing rooms were clean and a service representative checked on me to see if I wanted other sizes.  I remember back in the day when there were piles of clothes inside the dressing rooms.  It is nice to see that they are improving the overall customer experience.

    Who doesn't like a sale!

The Bay is always having some sort.

This past week was fashion clearance which meant a sale price plus additional % off.

Highlights included 3 pairs of panties for  under 5$ but best of all- 2 Coach purses.
Both after discounts were 50% off!  YEAH!!

Customer service however left a bit to be desired.
Not quite enough cashiers to ring up sale items.

At 9 pm Friday night the girl asked me to wait to pay for my Coach Bag so she could wrap up someones purchases, to which i told her no, i was paying cash and would not like to wait. She did so but ran off after  to wrap, when there were still people in line behind me waiting to pay.

Earlier that day i  when doing a refund (of only 40$) i was asked by the cashier to find another cash desk "because she didn't have much money in the til" I had just gave her money for my purchase and my girlfriend was making a payment on her account . To once again, I told her no. I wasn't going to go to another cashier. To which she did the refund.

Overall, this is a big bright clean store with lots of products and sale prices that will keep me coming back for more.

I'm reviewing the ground floor which has the deli/bakery..

Soup. They always have 5/6 different choices of soup. I will come here just to get the soup. Their coconut chicken curry soup is pretty good with a little thickness of a bisque. They also have lobster bisque which is decent.

The bakery section is pretty awesome too. When I'm craving comfort food, it's usually a muffin and a soup. Some days they also have 'sweet buns' (mmmm, almond).

Their small deli also has very bad things in it like a smokie wrapped in pastry. And yes I've had it and YES IT IS GOOD. I feel guilty when I eat it.

Oh, Hudson Bay... You aren't really different than any other tired, worn out department store. When I came up to Vancouver for a Hudson blanket, you had them. Our employee seemed fascinated by Dads BECU card... So that was entertaining. What was really weird was that I had called three times prior to making the trip to make sure that they had the blankets nd to double check the cost. I never got an answer, nd left a random message somewhere. This trip was probably two months ago, and I finally got a call back maybe a week ago to return my call. So.... that was weird.

The parking garage across the street, despite Vancouver's beauty, reminded me of homeless crack heads taking a piss between cars. Yup.

I liked The Bay much more in previous years. Since they redesigned, it is hard to find something likeable and affordable. Everything is either ridiculously expensive or looks just a-ok. On the other hand, they always have a good sale where you can find something nice, but not as many things as before.
Good thing about it is that they have a bit of everything, so when you are in rushing to buy a gift for a baby, or replace a broken toaster, you will definitely find it here.
Also what i like is the location, its conected underground with Pacific Mall, Holt Renfrew and Sears. A deadly trio for my wallet!

Was just here two nights ago with a good friend of mine...we decided to take a peak at the kitchenware because she had gotten a cusineart mixer as a gift but wanted to exchange the color only.

after searching for awhile, i found ONE left in the color red she wanted. she was afraid that it would get sold before she could come back to exchange it so i advised her to put it on hold. she didn't think the store would do it since it is the holidays & it was the last one.

i convinced her to ask anyway, so we went to the cashier & she explained her situation. the cashier listened and said it wouldnt be a problem...how cool is that?? I know MANY places that would not consider holding any items during the holidays...and if they did, definitely NOT the last of an item!
she even went a step above and said she'd hold it til saturday just in case she couldnt make it back the next day!
i was extremely impressed with the customer service here! =)

Perhaps visiting The Bay during the Olympics wasn't the best idea. The lines were super long, the store itself was crowded and cluttered, and guess what? They failed to mention to people that a lot of the items they were selling in the cordoned off "Olympic section" were also available throughout the store where you didn't have to wait in any lines! Fortunately I only waited about 20 minutes in line. I talked to other visitors though that had lined up for upwards of two hours.

I'm a big fan of the famous Bay blankets so that's all I was really looking for. I'm sure if I'm back in Vancouver I'll give this store a miss though. I could get the blanket online or from another location in BC. I was hoping that the store would be a lot like a Nordstrom. Instead it was more like a JC Penny.

Today we went to the Bay to fight the crowds and stand in long lines for the Olympic store.

    My husband was not thrilled.

The store is actually very nice.  I managed to find a really nice London Fog coat for 1/2 off and then another 40% off that.  ($41 total).  That was a bargain!

However,  the merchandise for the Olympics is another story.  It is expensive and the lines are around the corner.  They are trying to manage the crowds but it seems an impossible task.

Luckily, we found out about the 5th floor and we managed to get what we wanted up there without all of the lines. That worked for us!

Thank you to everyone at the Bay store that is working hard to manage the Olympic fans while still maintaining that Canadian charm and kindness.  You guys rock!

I have no idea how a department store like The Bay can survive in this day and age.  There are no salespeople on the floor to help customers look for products.  The few behind the cash registers are usually seen yakking away and complaining about their schedules.

The men's department is simply horrific.  This is no merchandise display to speak of.  I'm not talking about window or mannequin display but simply clothing and accessory items being properly hung and placed on shelves and display tables.  Things are all over the place and clothes are half off their hangers.  I made a mistake going there to check out their suits only to be led to a creepy corner that looks like the land of misfit Christmas toys.

I hate to say but I'd rather drive 2 hours to Macy's in Seattle.

If you search hard enough, and try on long enough, you can find some really good bras that are sure to make the girls look perky. And if you're lucky, they're having a sale!

Traumatizing experience though: some woman in the change room topless talking to the sales rep about what kind of bra she wants.. :( With the door wide open.

Oh yes, on a side note, the Bay has a great selection of kitchen appliances too and you can get a Kitchen aid mixer in every colour you want! Prices are generally higher than some other places though.

Typically, I enjoy a good walk through the Downtown Bay. They carry lines that the suburb stores don't and usually have an excellent selection of cosmetics and clothing. I totally agree that The Bay is the safest spot to get your wedding registry done, as it's easily accessible to guests and the lines they carry are able to be found at other stores, if necessary.

What I'm a little confused about, is how they're always under construction. Sure, this provides eye candy while shopping for jewellery, but something is always under a tarp and I can never fully tell if they're open when coming in through the doors on Seymour. And there are rarely enough sales staff to make it a fully pleasurable experience. Long waits in departments that you weren't shopping in but were the closest with a working till, and a general lack of assistance typically causes me to have to be 100% sure that I will purchase anything that I look at.

But, they frequently have giant sales and with the full selection, an occasional trip in (at off hours) is worthwhile.

This is the worst Bay in Vancouver! Why? They treat everyone who shops here as a criminal or something. Due to the fact that it's right next to the skytrain, there are lot of undercover security staff at this Bay. If you shop here, you will be followed no matter what. The undercover staff need to get a life, as they'll follow til you reach the exit or the changing rooms.  Stalkers and sickos! Most locals know it, but the tourist don't so the target market at this The Bay location is aimed towards tourist.

The Hudson Bay in Downtown Vancouver is more of a tourist trap than anything else.  It's also the flagship store where they sell the official Olympic apparel for the 2010 Olympics.

So I know they are trying to be organized for the Olympics..failure.  They only put stock out in the morning and the employees are telling customer to try the next day if their size is out.

At 2pm on Sunday it looked like the Olympics threw up all over.  Sizes were very scarce, except for mittens you could get mittens.

I do not think they realize when they projected 10,000 people would visit a day what that entails, maybe now they do.  Time to update the plan.

    Only stocking once a day...crazy!

And of course only cash or visa during the Olympics.

Other than the basement level and cosmetics level, I always find The Bay to be eerily empty. It's like I can hear a clear echo throughout the upper floors. This often makes it difficult to find assistance should you need any.

My mind gets whirring about renting space downtown and how much this Canadian institution must be paying for this mammoth building only to have it sit mostly empty of customers.

Overall I'll give The Bay credit for the cleanliness of displays.

Once, I found a sweater here I quite liked. Unfortunately there was also a big smudge of something on the front. The inventive sales assistant suggested they get the sweater dry cleaned and then give me a call when it was back in the store, as it was the lone one in that size and style. I just can't say no if it's the last one!

Long, boring story short: she never called and I never bought the sweater.

Then, on a recent trip to the U.S. I found it again, for half the price! But as there were plenty of others stacked on the shelves I suddenly didn't love it so much anymore.

Because you get HBC Rewards points here I'd take it over Sears but there's not much difference. It's still the Bay and not exactly the first place you'd go to buy most stuff.

At times you could literally shoot a gun down any of the upper floors and not hit anyone.  I have no idea why department stores exist in the 21st century. Like the general stores of a previous age, they lumber along  despite shopping shifting to the more target-specific stores.

Am I the first to review  The Bay store downtown? Well, it's a big store, so I won't try to take on the whole thing. They're a grand old department store, so they have a a bit of everything - fashion, furniture, china, make-up, jewellery (including a pretty competent jewellery repair service),and of course, food.

My favourite floor is the ground floor, which is where the kitchen toys live and where you'll also find a very nice deli/lunch counter, wine shop focused on BC products, and chocolate shop. The deli counter has long been my place to stop and get a samosa and a Snapple, but I'm also fond of their pastries, sandwiches, and variety of salads. It's super-handy for when I'm heading back home and need a couple things for dinner before hitting the SkyTrain.

They make everything fresh daily. For a fuller lunch, there's also a huge cafeteria on the 6th floor (the furniture floor) with loads of seating and occasionally, live entertainment. I really think this is one of Vancouver's best-kept lunch secrets.

Lastly, if you're going to buy stuff here, try to wait for the weekends, as this seems to be when lots of merchandise goes on sale.

Everyone in Canada is familiar with The Bay, but this one is particularly massive. If you have any friends who are getting married, you'll need to become familiar with it pretty quick, as everyone registers at The Bay. And it makes a lot of sense to do so.

Register here if you're getting married because it's one of the easiest places for out-of-town or out-of-country guests to select your gifts. You can search find, create and manage registries online. Your friends and family can electronically send you gifts from all over the world and you can pick them up here. Guests can also print off a registry from a touch-screen while they're in The Bay.

There are also regularly huge sales (like 40-70% off-type sales) on home items like stemware and linens. They are a one-stop Christmas store for people who want to get shopping over with quickly as possible. They also are a great place to go to buy a winter coat, as there's about half a floor dedicated to ladies winter coats, many of which were 40% off when I was there.

I used to adore the Bay downtown.  It was a great place to shop when I lived in the West End.  Then in the mid-2000's it all started to change.  It turned decidedly upscale, and they got rid of all their nice staff and started hiring snobs.  Seriously, store clerks with an attitude earning 10 bucks an hour, STUFF IT.  I gave up going over a year ago when I went in to get a battery replaced in my watch.  After making me wait until she was ready to serve me, the snooty clerk informed me it would be a week.  A week!  To do five minutes work?  I gave it one last chance two days ago, when I dared to enter the women's denim section.  The first clerk ignored me completely.  The second was busy straightening hangers.  I approached and said, "Excuse me," and she said, "Yeah?"  "Do you carry Levi's," I asked.  She sneered at me - SNEERED - and replied, "Not anymore."  I'm a fairly ordinary, middle-aged female.  And so was she.  The heck with you, Bay downtown, I'll spend my money at Sears across the street, where I don't get attitude, I get smiles when I spend my hard-earned money.  Is that any way, Bay downtown, to treat customers in a recession, or any other time?  I think not.

I went here at Christmas time two years ago to buy gloves for my mum. You could have shot a cannon through the place and only risked hitting the pianist playing holiday tunes on the third floor (in retrospect, I have absolutely no idea if he was hired to play Christmas songs, or if he just happened to sit down at a piano that was abandoned in a hallway here; his clothing alluded to the latter). I hadn't been here since I was a child, and was delighted to discover their estate sale section full of old jewellery and hat pins. The halls were decked with cheap tinsel and aging faux pines. I tried on about 8 fur coats, unbothered by the staff (if there even were any staff on that floor). I waltzed around a bit, considered investing in some heirloom broaches, caressed a few point blankets, felt tempted to sign up for a wedding registry and pick my china pattern, couldn't find a pair of gloves made from non-synthetic materials, and left, saying a cheery "merry Christmas" to the pianist (who I now believed to be homeless, unless you should call the Bay a home). My Christmas shopping experience at the Bay pre-Olympics was so beautiful I shed a warm, salty tear.

This past summer, I took a date here (let's call it a date for lack of a better word), promising him estate jewellery, lone pianos, and the nagging ache of depression to accompany the hangover we shared. We visited each floor, and I felt panic rising inside me, realizing if I hadn't ruined my date by getting drunk the night before, I had definitely ruined my chances for romance by promising sweet agony and delivering a crisp, white department store. He never called.

This Christmas, I returned to try on designer cocktail dresses but didn't feel compelled to purchase one, due to my intense disappointment that the fur coats now had alarms on them. The Bay downtown has stepped up its game a notch and a half. This year I bought a cashmere sweater on sale for my mum, signed up for my first HBC card, caressed a few more point blankets, and noted with great disappointment the striking absence of any intense depression I felt while leaving the store, now playing tinny, cheerful holiday tunes on a PA system and swathed in glittering silver trees. Oh, Hudson's Bay...

Five stars for the memories, four stars because the cafe was closed when I got there, but five stars because we'll always have 2008, my love.

If you don't feel like waiting in the line up to get your Olympic gear, go up to the fifth floor. Walk past the china and bedding for a bunch of Olympic stuff! No need to wait. Okay, so you won't find everything that you'd get down on the roped off Olympic zone on the 1st floor, but if you are working under a time cruch, it's a good option. You'll find some basic Canada sweatshirts, hats, and shirts, plus gear for other countries like Russia, Finland, and China. They've also got some cool vintage t-shirts from Olympics past.

I cant say that I am too interested in reviewing the Bay because quite frankly I nothing good to say about them, HOWEVER, inside of this dinosaur is a little gem for all you guys out there that want to take care of those two bushy things (in some cases one) over your eyes known as your eyebrows... don't be shy, men need to do it too.    SO go to the Decleor counter and make yourself an appointment, the girls that work here are very friendly and know how to do a brow right.  They specialize in waxing and threading (threading is painful).  One of my favorite things is they have a spa room where they take you, you get to lay down, they put lotions and potions on you and do the best brow IMO.  Cost to you is only 12 dollars and well worth every penny!

This review  is only for the new Olympic store section that opened recently. Come and pickup your 2010 Olympic gear here.  They have a DJ spinning and see the new mascots of the games dancing to the beats. Large amount of apparel and knick-knacks to be purchased here.

Oh, The Bay: a beloved Canadian institution, in the realm of candied salmon, snowmobile exhaust, and Stompin' Tom.
The good: The Bay's external architecture hasn't been (yet) renovated into a glass cube. Inside, you'll find good prices on pantyhose and other nether-coverings, and I love the pleasant, unpretentious little café on the third floor.
The not-so-good: Shopping at The Bay before noon is rather trying. Finding someone to help you can take ten minutes, and if they work in a different section, they can't help at all. There's only one cashier's desk open on each floor early in the day. But which desk is open? Wear comfortable shoes, because you may have to circle the entire floor to find it.
The ladies' shoe section is mostly a museum of overpriced basic black shoes that were marginally trendy with the office crowd three years ago. The ladies' swimwear section feels strangely like a costume shop run by substitute teachers in 1989.
The latest: yesterday I went to The Bay to get my watch battery changed. The Olympics Store frightened me: the white fence, obnoxious music, obscenely priced swag, and smiling rictuses on the faces of dozens of Olympics Store staff standing around. I swear I heard little voices singing, "Duloc is a per-fect plaaaaaace!"
So I hunched my shoulders, paid $18 for a $5 battery, and got out of there.
Oh, Teh Bay. How the mighty have fallen.

What I like about this Bay, and this is despite of the fact that it is veerry big and pretty overwhelming, is that they actually have a section for younger women. Most locations sell clothing for older women, maybe I would say even in their '50's - '70's, it isn't much different than Sears in my opinion, just more expensive (Lougheed and Richmond, I'm looking at you.) They may still have OK lingerie, sleepwear and accessories departments, but clothing, no way. And why? Aren't the demographics that spend more money going to buy youthful clothing? But this one carries a lot of nice labels, DKNY, Betsy Johnson, Kersh, Express, there's a huge floor for that on the 4th floor. Exoensive and good quality... It's pretty similar to Holt's, depending on what label you want.
UPDATE: What's with the men's level mannequins? They're like headless spiders sitting square in the middle of the hallway that make my heart jump into my throat. Creepy! Wish they'd be removed already.

okay honestly I can't speak for the rest of the store but I will rave about the MUFE (make up for ever) counter in cosmetics. Each and every time I have come into Vancouver for my tri-yearly makeup spree, I've always received top notch customer service here. They were willing and able to help me find the colors and shades best suited for me and were patient while doing so.
