Not surprising to see this business failed . I never ate here after having an interview about 10 years ago with the manager who was one of the rudest most horrid women I have ever encountered. I was more than qualified and had excellent references yet for some reason she was so terribly rude to me . I'm happy to see she went out of business.

Great food, generous portions, and very friendly people. Only drawback is that they are only opened from 11:00am till 2:00 pm. But if you like fresh food and lots of smiles go in and phone to let them know they need to stay open later. Enjoy

We decided to try this place out since we were in the area and my husband happens to love anything aviation related.
We were greeted promptly when we entered and since they were not busy we had our choice of tables so we took a table in the bar beside one of the large windows that overlooked the airfield.
Sarah was waiting on us and she was great. Friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. Even though the "special" didn't officially start for just over an hour she offered it to my husband who jumped on it. For $9.95 he got a beer and a bud. Since the burger was just a plain burger he added bacon and cheese for $3.00. The burger was big and super juicy and the fries were super crispy. I decided on the Cajun chicken sandwich with yam fries. The thing that I loved almost the most was the temperature of the food. I am such a stickler for food that is meant to be hot to be just that. You could see the heat waves coming off the burger and sandwich and I love that. Both the yam fries and regular fries were piping hot and so crisp. Not an ounce of grease to be found.
The only "complaint" that I could come up with is that the iced tea I ordered had an aftertaste that I didn't like and the chipolte dip for the yam fries was not my favorite. I prefer a garlic aioli and the windows were in need of a spring clean
We took a look at the Sunday brunch menu, which was created by the chef that help create the brunch menu at Milestones, and I can say I'm looking forward to coming back.
The Baron is a great place for any that are looking for some good food, friendly service and aviation.
I wish I could have given this place 4.5 stars cause the only issues were very minorHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stef L.Abbotsford, BC134Apr 18, 2015
This place used to be a nice little getaway once upon a time. Now, since the recent owner purchased the business, it has gone downhill and it just keeps picking up speed!
Food and service is deplorable! I had the fish tacos tonight in a lettuce wrap...gross! Soggy and with no imagination or garnish. It was terrible! The new owner has obviously lowered the bar on standards. As I stated in my opening remarks, this used to be a great restaurant in its heyday. Now? Its just another food establishment taking up valuable space.
The menu is now printed on plain white paper as if someone decided that they're too cheap to have them made professionally.Don't waste your time and money folks! There's better grills in the Fraser Valley than this excuse for a restaurant!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steven C.Langley, BC833Oct 30, 2014
Beef dip!
Q: How can you mess up beef dip?
A: Tear off a cold, white hot dog bun from the dozen pack you picked up a few days ago from the grocer; place a shredded beef roast (include tendons when possible) on top of small soft bun, serve to guests an hour after ordering.
Avoid at all costs. No one should have to pay $16 for a terrible sandwich again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Drew S.Whalley, Surrey, BC164Mar 4, 2017
Service very slow food is way over priced. I had a chicken burger was under cooked and not even that good to charge 18 bucks is a joke. never go here.

So we're driving around for lunch, trying to figure out where we haven't eaten...or been to in a while. One of us mentions The Baron, recalling fond memories of the Monster Burger, and other great meals of yesteryear. Fast forward to Aug 23, 2017...we walk into an empty bar & grill turned Cantonese fusion restaurant holding a stapled paper menu created using the Microsoft WordArt feature, full of scribbled handwritten edits. Umm, this is not looking good. I'm hungry and so I opt for one of the "Cantonese" menu choices, thinking it's a tall task to mess up white rice and some stir fry. Big mistake! The rice is off, the plate is drenched in sauce and the meat is suspect - especially what part of the animal the meat originates from and how it was cooked. Even the burger that my buddy ordered was questionable...a freaking cheeseburger! I choked down a few bites to fill the empty pit in my stomach, and I wish I hadn't. I'm now sitting in the car contemplating my existence, $12 poorer, and considering a drive-thru stop to wash the lingering taste out of my mouth. The black bean sauce has the aftertaste of shoe polish, or road tar, or something closely related in viscosity & color. Take my advice at any price, The Baron is nowhere close to nice. Aaarrggh!

The food is typical bar food, but it is well prepared. I liked the steak bites for an appetizer and also the breaded wings are good. The service is prompt and I like that when things got busy for the servers the bar tender helped out delivering drinks.
The patio is on the east side, so gets into the shade fairly early, but when the weather is nice it is great. Lots of room on the patio too.
They have good specials every day.
My one complaint is they reserve some of the best seats in case the owner comes in, they are always empty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Terry M.Abbotsford, BC1481811Dec 13, 2012
On a sunny day, their patio is a pretty hard place to beat. Watch the planes take off and land and enjoy pretty good, pub style food. A little bit on the expensive side.

I tried their quesadilla here and loved it! However I was quite intoxicated from their fishbowl highballs... So not sure if that had anything to do with it. But good food and drinks none the less!
