Review from Erez Z.
Hamilton, ON
Very nice place. Nice serving staff, and we enjoyed the food. The only downside was that the food took _ages_ to get to our table. The decor was nice, and I felt that the waiter was genuinely nice and not just doing their job.

Review from Denise S.
Great location on Locke St. with a nice, big patio. Has a cozy, neighbourhood feel - they host community events, allow people to leave flyers at the front, and make all the food on site. You really *want* to like this place. But, ever since coming under new management around a year ago, Bad Dog just hasn't been the same.
I like Bad Dog because it's good for both reading/studying on your own or coming with friends to catch up. Well, last time I went to study and it was weird because there was no music playing at all. Worse, the manager was yelling at this poor high school student who works there part time. Really inappropriate to be having a loud argument in front of customers!
The chai lattes, hot chocolates, and cappuccinos are average. Bakes good are hit and miss. I had a delicious bread pudding once, but the hello dollies were served cold and very hard to bite through!
They do have a liquor license now and are open late. Bonus points for carrying Frulli (strawberry beer).
But overall, not as good as it used to be, which is a shame. I usually prefer to give my business to local, independent cafes, but after some bad experiences at Bad Dog Cafe, I'd rather just go to the Starbucks down the street.Listed in: The Hammer
