Review from Diana L.
My first visit to Whistler was possible via a Living Social deal for this place. A special birthday trip for my buddy, this place was perfect! We stayed 3 nights in a one-bedroom condo, room 202, complete with full kitchen, gas fireplace/heater, balcony, and awesome view of the pool, mountains, and the Wizard Chair lift going by. All the amenities were updated and modern, everything worked fine, save a few light bulbs being out, but the maintenance guy came by without us even calling, saying that housekeeping alerted him about the light bulbs. How cool is that?? Ample hot water, awesome soaking bath tub (especially if you're just learning how to snowboard, like we were). Kitchen was fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, all the pots and pans, dishes and utensils you need (except no spatula - interesting making scrambled eggs with a plastic serving spoon). We had extra towels, sheets and pillows, a small but useful set of toiletries (soap, shampoo). TVs in both living room and bedroom, and DVD in the living room. Wireless was $9.95/day, or just hook up the ethernet for free.
There is a ski rental shop in the hotel, and as others have mentioned, it's a ski-in-ski-out location right next to the base of Blackcomb, just rent your gear, saunter out past the pool, and off you go either to the Blackcomb lifts, or into town if you so desire. The Whistler base is about a 7 minute walk on a path through the forest (ask about anyone, they'll point you in the right direction). Oh, and the ski shop will also valet your skis/board over night - so convenient!
Less Than Great Things: parking was $15/day; rooms weren't exactly soundproof, and not only could we hear the folks upstairs partying, but we could even hear them walking around. But after a day on the slopes, we were so tired it didn't wake us up.
We didn't take advantage of the pool and hot tubs, so no comment there - but many other guests did while we were there.
Really awesome location, especially if you're good enough to take advantage of the ski-in-ski-out. If not, the walk to the bases are not far, and there is even a bus (free) that drops you off about 150 feet away from the hotel entrance. We had a great, comfortable time staying here, and would definitely book here again! -

GREAT place to stay and SUPER convenient.
The slopes are right there. You can literally board into the hotel area. Easy 10 minute walk to each of the villages, Whistler village and Olympic Park village have great bars and restaurants. The Upper Village (where Aspens is located) has a few great bars and breakfast spots but the best part is Blackcomb Mountain begins and ends 400 feet away. It's awesome!
Room is decent and comfy. Room and kitchen are spacious and clean. Bummer is that parking is 15$/day. But it made up for it because we were able to stay at this location for less than $200 for three nights through a livingsocial deal.
I hope to come back to Whistler in the next few years and wouldn't mind staying here. :) -

Stayed here again and honestly, the age is starting to show. The place was still nice, but I could def tell the difference from when I stayed 4 years ago.
Also, I realized they don't have laundry rooms in each condo, something Greystone Lodge next door has.
This place still has an awesome hot tub and a better ski in/ski out location than Greystone though.Listed in: Good Date Spots

We had a great time staying at the Aspens while in Whistler. I bought a living social voucher for 3 nights back in the fall and was able to keep it a secret from my boyfriend until his birthday. Besides being a fan of the Aspens, I'm a huge Groupon/Living Social fan! I agree with others that the Aspens is not the most modern rental at Whistler, but it really only shows in the common areas and hallways. I really liked how easy and carefree everything was for this vacation, everything was thought of ahead of time. I'm a big stresser so it was nice to not have to think about the little details. The location is amazing, and allowed us to feel at home while on vacation. It was great to be able to snowboard home at the end of the day, shower, and walk to dinner. Having the kitchen was also great for saving money on breakfast. The location was too great not to take advantage of dining out, but the full kitchen really does enable you not to have to spend anything on dining out. All around great experience!

I love this hotel. I love their location, the service, and the people that works here. The biggest advantage of this hotel is the ski in/ski out location. When I walk out of the lobby here, you can ski down the slope to the city center. This hotel is more of a condo atmosphere. I booked the condo on the bottom floor and I can ski down off from my patio. The condo is very cozy and it feels like home. The price of the condo is very reasonable. Whistler is my favorite ski resort. This hotel reminds me of a white Christmas because this hotel is cover with snow during the winter and when I look out from my window, I can see the city center blanket with snow. It's so romantic and beautiful. The people here are so friendly. They are always willing to recommend places to go eat or shop, giving me tips of which road is bus route only, and giving me tips of where I can go to hop on a free shuttle to go around town. I totally recommend that you go grocery shopping outside of Whistler and make your food while you stay here because it's very expensive here. For example, breakfast that includes a glass of OJ, eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns for two cost $50. At the grocery, it cost $6 for a half dozen eggs. I totally recommend this hotel because the price is very reasonable and the location.
