Wow, this place has terrific Thai food but if you want your food to be hot, you have to ask for it.  If you don't, it'll be mild (and in my opinion, bland).  But the addition of chili peppers makes all the other flavours come alive which is what I love about many of the dishes here, everything bursts with so much taste and flavour.  Yes, the food is better on some days than others but I've never had a bad meal here.  My favourite dishes are the pad thai noodles, spicy noodles (usually with shrimp), garlic and black pepper chicken, ginger shrimp, red curry chicken, and kang panang beef.  Their fresh rolls and spicy and sour soups are also really nice as well.  Overall however, I would like Thai House even better if everything was a dollar or two cheaper but that's a minor complaint.  I would rather pay a little extra more for terrific food than pay for something a little less but is dissatisfying. I also find the service to be very pleasant and kind which is always a plus.

I have had my share of great Thai food. My first impression of the venue was that it seemed authentic. After ordering the Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Shrimp Soup), I realized that this definitely wasn't the case. The soup was bland, watery, flavorless and smelled like an old shoe. No galangal, kafir lime leaves, thai spices and most importantly WHERE'S THE LEMONGRASS!!??

The pad Thai was also sub-par, overly salty with a slight 'chemical' taste. I usually don't complain about food; I believe in being grateful for what has been given to you because people starve all over the world. But for the amount of money I wasted at this place, it definitely wasn't worth it. It's just bad business. Either the Chef isn't Thai, or the owners think that just because it's London, the people are uncultured and won't know the difference. It was my wife's first time having Thai. What a disappointment. I would recommend Talay Thai in Ottawa. They could teach this place a thing or two.
