Giving this review 2 stars in a hope that other TGI friday locations are better than this one. The prices were VERY high. The food was average. This was my first visit to a TGI friday location and I was not impressed.

Overpriced menu. 1 appetizer + 1 entree + 1 soda = $55 + tip O.o
TGI friday here is not something I used to remember for other TGI. It looks quite filthy overall. The food is average but not impressive nor I did not feel any "Fridays" from this place. The service was fine but it was not that OK to run a restaurant chain place like this. -

Food for Thought
-If you choose to eat at Friday's you will have to refinance your home or car.
-Eating here may get you sick or at least the salads will for sure.
-When they ask if you would like dessert, laugh sarcastically.

Never going here again! Second time I went to this TGI Friday. They are so overpriced with their food, its ridiculous. My party of 6 had to share 3 dishes and our total came up to 101 dollars. Even a cup of soda is 4 dollars? My refill was watered down and the waitress had an attitude towards us and questioning us if only 3 dishes were enough for a party of 6. While awaiting for my food, I searched up Planet Hollywood's menu and prices. It was HALF of what I was paying for a lousy order of buffalo wings.
They need either a bigger menu, cheaper prices or more specials because I refuse to pay 26 dollars for an 8 oz steak. I wasn't mad at the fact that I had to pay $101. I was mad at the fact that I only ordered 3 dishes and 4 sodas and my grand total is 101. If we went elsewhere, I guarantee, we would've ALL gotten food and the bill could've still came up to 101 dollars or less. Worst experience at any restaurant. -

TGI Friday's isn't anything special. In fact, I think the food is a little better in other locations across the nation.
The waitstaff try to get you in and out as soon as they can. My guess is higher table turnover rate = more $$$ tips for them. I felt rushed, and felt like they didn't really care about concerns.
I ordered a bacon burger - it was alright. The edges were slightly burnt, but still palatable. I've definitely had better. It is pretty pricey, but I think that's to be expected in NYC.
It might be better to ditch this place and check out a hole in the wall nearby. You'll probably get better food for a better price. -

Food is standard fare for the chain. Our waitress was good (Angelle G). Seat in the basement near the kitchen sucks the staff has to bump into you to get out it seems. But they try not to. Overall a good situation for a big group with kids.

What could possibly ruin your Friday? It's TGI Friday!
It has been long time I didn't visit. What surprised me was the quality and price of the food served on my table. The iced tea tastes a lot worse than Arizona iced tea. The taste and look of the pasta are exactly like chinese fried noodle. Are buffalo wings and potato skin microwaved? I'll never come back here again. -

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
This is absolutely the worst TGIF out there!!! First, it's dark and dirty (don't have to worry about if you'll have hair in the food, it's already stuck on the menu!). Waitress, who was very nice, says there's no quesadillas, then apologizes because there's no steak fajitas. We settle on chicken, but, after some time expecting our meal to come, she comes back and says they have steak! The loaded potato skins were bland and anything but loaded.
It's an ugly overpriced restaurant serving food that is questionable and margaritas that are awful. But, as I said, it happens to have a very pleasant staff. -

This is the worst TGI Friday's I have ever been too. The prices were a lot higher than usual because of the location in Times Square, which is understandable. However, the food wasn't nearly as good as it was at other locations. My drink seemed very watered down, and my cheeseburger was overcooked even though I asked for it to be cooked medium rare. My friends and I also had to wait a pretty long time for our food after we ordered. The bathrooms were also very dirty and small. The only reason the location gets two stars is because of the waitress who was very kind.

My coworkers and I were looking for a close place to have lunch and since Fridays has a pretty vast menu and because it's right across the street from our office, we came here.
BIG MISTAKE...
We wanted to take advantage of the $12.99 3 course menu, but since this is a franchise location, they don't offer that. So I settled with the Jack Daniels BBQ pulled pork sandwich with fries and a Stella. I tried to order a Blue Moon, which was on the menu, but found out that this location doesn't carry it. WTF... Why would you have it on the menu, but not carry it?
The sandwich was disgusting. SUPER salty and just overall not edible. The fries were soggy and cold. So I just drank my beer, which was room temperature and watery.
I understand trying to be attentive, but our waitress kept coming over every 5-7 minutes to see if everything was ok. And she wasn't smooth with her approach. My friends and I are talking and you hear a loud "EXXXCUSE ME, YOU GUYS AITE?" We aren't much different than 5 min ago. Thank you.
At the end, I needed to get change for a $20. I asked her if she had change and she said NO. So I look at her... She looks at me... A few moments of silence... Um... Ok... I ask her if she could go find someone with change... She grabs the bill, smirks and walks away. She comes back a few minutes later and gives me my $20 back and tells me that there isn't any change... Are you fuckin kidding me? In the entire place you don't have change? How am I supposed to pay for my tab??
Ridiculous... I feel like boycotting all chain restaurants period... -

Some of the entrees are very unique, and tasty too. Burgers are alright, too much bun though. But, bottom line, they're tooo pricey given what their competition offers.
I must state, their Crispy Green Bean Fries are incredible. The third time in my life I have ever enjoyed eating string beans. It goes to show, every thing tastes better once it's been fried :o -

Ok so this review isn't for this TGIFriday's specifically, but I saw that this one had more than one star, and that just isn't right.
I don't think I've ever had a less satisfying dinner before. I had eaten dinner at a Friday's out on Long Island recently, and I know for a fact that the menu from last night hasn't been updated for a good 6 months (also based on the fact that they're still serving the Top Chef challenge winner from last season.) On that note, I got to choose from maybe half the dishes they 'offer' because all the good things were "forced into early retirement."
Also, it strikes me as kind of bizarre that they dont really have any decent vegetarian dishes... I mean, for fuck sake Outback has more vegetarian dishes and its a steakhouse!
I'm getting frustrated even thinking about it.... so in conclusion.
The food sucks, the atmosphere sucks, the service sucks and everyone that eats there is really fucking ugly...

Carrollton, TX
My best friend and I were here on December 5th 2010.
We're from Dallas, TX and were in NYC to see the sites and experience the thrill for my 24th birthday. This, was a pretty neat thing to experience, but due to prices ( which I expected from location) I'd only do it for this special occasion.
We came in about 1:30 pm, immediately noticed how packed it was just due to the fact of where and how we were seated-- in a 2 person table pushed up against a wall, on the third floor with the kitchen behind us. the last 2 top in the place! yay!
The staff service was a really nice guy, all smiles and quick service -- which I give a plus, considering the amount of chaos going on in the kitchen.
The table was really just too tiny for comfort. we had 2 drinks, and 2 plates, that didn't fit on the table all the way, so we were forced to hold on to them while we ate. Then the bill came, and I think because of the " Time Square " name on the restaurant, that I'm glad my Daddy's birthday gift gift of cash came in handy.
The experience overall was neat to be able to sit on the third floor of a restaurant. But I wouldn't go to this particular Fridays again. TGI Fridays Time Square, checked off the bucket list. :) -

I try to avoid Times Square at all costs. Too many tourists, too many flashing lights, too many comedy promoters saying "HIIII pretty girl, you need to SMILE! Go see the show! Let me see that SMILE!" (Fuck you. I will kill you), too many overpriced and subpar places to eat. TGI Friday's was no exception.
Dear sweet God. This place is TERRIBLE. I will forever resent my friend for forcing me to this area for food at midnight on a Friday. Looking back, I don't know what I was thinking. Never never again.
We walk in and hear servers complaining about our arrival ("What is this? WHAT is THIS?" ...Um, excuse me. We're hungry, you're open and judging by the the fact that the place is half full you serve food). The host clearly has no idea what to do with us. First she led us back to a completely dark and empty section with dirty tables near the bathroom. Confused, she stands there for a minute before turning around and leading us to a much brighter and more populated section away from the restrooms. Way too many minutes go by before our waiter comes over, drops off silverware and says he'll be "right with us." About ten minutes later, he comes back to take our order. He returns shortly after to inform me that they're out of the salad I want. It was the only salad on the menu that wasn't dripping in dressing, bacon, croutons, cheese and egg, so I just sighed and ordered chicken fingers. About fifteen minutes later, he figures out he forgot to bring us our drinks. He comes back and puts two glasses of water on the table, never minding the fact that my friend ordered a soda.
He then proceeds to sit down at a table next to us and flirt with the two girls sitting there ("Where are you ladies from? Dayyyyum you both are soo sexy, mmm hmmmm, seriously, no, for real...") When someone brings out our food, he just gestures to our table without getting up. He completely ignored us throughout the meal, except for once calling over- still without getting up- "Yo, are you guys okay over there? Cool, cool." We have to interrupt him to get our check. He brought over the wrong one (excuse me sir, I don't recall ordering three margaritas and a shot of Patron and no food) and sat right back down. We interrupt again to get the correct check. He brings it and my friend puts out his credit card. Absorbed in what he must have imagined was suave, flirtatious conversation ("you know, there's some good strip clubs around here..."), he completely ignores it and we have to interrupt him to take the payment.
As an added bonus during our meal, we got to listen to another waiter yell about how angry he was that a table left him a bad tip- literally yell- "I'm fucking sick of this shit! I hate people! Fuck this! Who the fuck do they think they are? I'm SICK of it!"
Oh yeah, there was food. It was mediocre. And overpriced. WAY overpriced.
Seriously, don't go here. Just don't. -

TGI FRIDAY'S= NOTHING TO BE EXCITED ABOUT AT THIS LOCATION!
Food was SO bad! It was like they were serving you DAY old food or food that was sitting under heat lamps FOREVER! The restaurant was pretty dirty and WAY run down also! Which really surprised me cause the employees at this place were SUPER friendly and accommodating. If I could I would have given my waiter 5 stars but the food was so BAD! Try somewhere else if you are given the option! -

Review from AJ P.
Something very odd happened here. The waitress asked us to take out our ID when we ordered beer (my friend is 36 and I am 26). The manager came and looked at our ID, said nothing, and left. The waitress came back and said that she wasn't allowed to serve us beer, and she wouldn't tell us why.
The fact they wouldn't tell us why and that the manager who had the problem didn't tell us to our face offended my friends, who insisted we leave. We ended up somewhere much cheaper and much better (the Brewery, a couple blocks away) so I'm glad it happened. That's what we get for trying to eat so close to Times Square I guess. -

Ummmmmm, I was kind of disappointed. I've been to lots of Friday's branches in different parts of the world, and this just doesn't seem up to par with the others. Waiters were all right, kind of nice I guess, but the food took AGES to arrive even though we told them we were in a hurry... even if we weren't in a hurry, 40 minutes is just way too long a wait. Food was okay, I mean, standard Friday's fare, and years of experience going to similar restaurants has kind of given me a knack for choosing the right stuff. We got the sampler. Average.

This is one of the many TGI Friday's in Times Square. As far as I could tell, it's not much different from any other location you've been to, except perhaps for higher prices on the menu (but that's what you get for being in Manhattan).

Review from Julie R.
Came in here for a drink cause most of the other places in Times Sq. were packed. Well we made it short. Service was friendly but slow. The sangria was surprisingly good but the atmosphere was tired and dated. The balsamic chicken quesedilla wasn't great. The crowd seemed like all teeny bopper tourists.

4 stars because the food was as good as you'd expect and the service was ok. Food did take a lot longer than you'd expect and I went there thinking it would be cheaper than room service and was so wrong. Expect $20 a plate and you won't get shocked.

Man...smh...I know NY is expensive...but this place was WAY too HIGH!!! We walked in and it was SO crowded..Ok I can understand that..But after being led up three flights of stairs after walking for blocks I was in angry lady mode. We had a cute little waitress named Tasha..She was very nice I must say. We ordered drinks and they were nasty..yuk..way too much sweetness and no alcohol.. I didnt even drink half of it. My friend and I ordered the same meals..Chicken breast with fried shrimp platters, she got broccoli and mashed potatoes, I got steak fries and broccoli. After what seemed to be an eternity, our food arrived. What in the world??? I know they had some big plates but i literally said Where is the rest of my food? LOL! I had a little piece of chicken, about 6 pieces of shrimp, 2 broccoli stems (and they were kinda hard) and 4 (count them) steak fries...smdh...My friend had the same along with her HUGE gob of mashed potatoes.. the little boy next to us at another table got a kids meal and had more food than us! We went on and ate our "snack" I mean meals and then here comes the bill.. Our nasty ass drinks were $14! A piece! I told Tasha I didnt like it and she replied Awww I'm sorry..smh..I know she saw that not even half empty glass.. We should have ate at the hood Sbarro's on the corner..Never again!

I liked the place. Nicely decorated, lots of room, very friendly staff, soda refill worked without having to ask. I had a 10oz Sirloin Steak, well-done, which is hard to do without making the meat dry. They nailed it, it was a perfect steak, juicy yet not bloody, well seasoned. Mashed potatoes were good, too.
Only bad things are small selection and a quite high price. Applebee's is just half a block away with 10x the selection at 10% less the price so I don't know what the Friday's guys are thinking of themseves for asking $18-20 for a Cheeseburger with fries. -
Review from Dan S.
All I can say is that I ate there for a quick bite to eat and the Jack Daniel's Chicken Sandwich with fries were delicious! That sandwich was worth the WHOLE $5. As for the beer, it was cold...that's all beer needs to be. (Too bad it wasn't a Canadian beer though).
