I have rented a room in a house from Terra Management Corp for the past 10 months on a one-year lease. Just before my lease expired, Terra Management decided that respecting its tenants' rights was not necessary. Plump with greed and eager to secure renters for the coming year, they show a blatant disregard for my right to privacy.
They expect me to leave my room unlocked at the drop of a hat. They hardly give any notice that they plan on showing the room. I have had dozens of strangers trudging through my private space. If I am unable to run home in the snow and unlock my room, they plan to remove all locks on the house and are threatening me with bizarre text messages at night.
Whenever I call the office, I am greeted with the worst customer service imaginable. Look-everyone is in a bad mood on account of the snow. That doesn't give anyone the right to harangue and badger me or shout at me when I call. This behaviour is infantile and I expect more from middle-aged women running a business.
Absolutely do NOT rent from terra Management.
