Review from Harold L.
Chula Vista, CA
This is my new favorite restaurant. This is what the American Dream is made of. A young family starting a new business venture in a new town. Its a young couple and the guys sister that run this gem. And these folks get it: warm friendly service, great selection and pride in what they make. The name Teriyaki Grill does not tell the whole story. They make creative appetizers, sandwiches like no other (bbq pork banh mi/ steak sandwiches/ teriyaki burger), Pho all day long, Bento and Bowls. Trendy yet tasty food, what a concept!
My wife and mom had the Bento while I tried the Jap Chae W/Tofu. What a nice surprise, and they even make the Vietnamese Coffee that's sooo good. The only drawback is they sometimes run out of the very popular Banh Mi sandwich and don't always open right on time. Remember, they are a young family and I have confidence they will make the adjustments in time. Otherwise I would have given 6 stars.
You will find me here often. I'll be the one waiting for my BBQ Beef Banh Mi while eating my Pho. -

I can't say enough wonderful things about Teriyaki Grill. The food is fresh, fresh, fresh
and made to order. The restaurant is super clean and comfortable and the service is the nicest and friendliest around.
I've enjoyed the Salmon Bento box, Teriyaki burger, Korean short ribs
and the spring rolls...all delicious. But for me, the stand out is the BBQ pork banh mi...I don't have words to express just how delicious this sandwich is. I could eat it every single day.
The only complaint I have about Teriyaki Grill is they are located in
Chula Vista and I live in Point Loma. Although I work practically around the corner from them, my schedule doesn't afford me the opportunity to eat here on a regular basis.
Oh, and the Vietnamese iced coffee is sweet, strong and full-on caffeinated. -

This place is a gem in Chula Vista's efforts to make-over the Third Avenue corridor.
Every time I've come to this spot, they've greeted me with warm smiles and friendly treatment. When I showed up the second time, they even remembered that I was there before with my groupon from my first visit.
The first time I was there, I used up my groupon by ordering the following: spicy teriyaki salmon bento (bento comes with ginger salad, 2 egg rolls, grilled seasonal veggies, and brown rice with hiziki) 8.25 vs 9.90, edamame (not ready when i first ordered it) $1.50, and i ordered a BBQ pork banh mi $3.50 WITH egg for .50 more to-go.
The salmon was PERFECTLY cooked. So flaky and flavorful. It's a decent price for all the stuff that comes in the bento box.... but I'd probably kindly pay a bit more for the quality that you get. There isn't much variety with the banh mi options, however the ones they do have are done very well.
Since I've moved away from the area, I don't have more opportunities to pay the good people of Teriyaki Grill a visit. After writing this review though, I may have to pay them a visit this week... and hopefully they'll still remember me. If they don't though, i'm sure they'll still treat me well, because they treat everyone like friends and regulars like family.

I couldnt believe what my teriyaki steak looked like when it arrived. It was cuts of beef like from an upscale restaurant... so delcious and not the cheap stuff that normally is served at these types of places. I am incredibly picky and this place was delicious (especially for the lower price).

I was looking for a quick lunch and got an awesome meal! I'm telling my friends about Teriyaki Grill. Steve's steak sandwich: you get a gourmet steak (filet mignon) sandwich with garlic and chopped peppers for a kick with fries for $8.99. Worth it! I'm coming back with the family!

Chula Vista, CA
What a gem in downtown Chula Vista! When I first came across the name, I expected what sounded like a mall food court joint, with some fast-cooked staple Japanese (in America) food. Teriyaki this, teriyaki that, oh and a California roll. And you get to sit by teenagers who just got out of school!
But no, I was fooled. This place is great! It states that it has seating space for 48 people and while I was there, I saw that they were able to comfortably accommodate a party of 8. You seat yourself and they come up to you with a simple menu. The counter and drinks container right next to it was a bit misleading, but I realized it was a sit-down when I saw that there was no menu on the wall.
The menu is pretty interesting. There's the teriyaki burger, a wide array of bowls/bento boxes, and some interesting stuff like bahn mi. Prices were wonderful! Man, $6.99 for a delicious bowl of Teriyaki Chicken that is perfectly cooked with the edges of the chicken crisp and the rest soooo tender?! Filled to the rim? Steaming hot? Ugh I will definitely return. They serve their bowls with brown rice and include veggies with the meat. I think they were the best grilled/steamed veggies I've ever had. Trust me, I'm a carnivore. I usually dump my salad on my friend's plate. I can't even remember some of them but I do remember the pumpkin (you can see all the pumpkins they use on the wall, it's pretty cute) and the asparagus. I've never ate and liked asparagus until now.
Service was great and prompt. Everyone was friendly. You can see them cooking and preparing everything right behind the counter where you will eventually pay. They don't have a soda fountain, so don't be surprised when your soda is brought to your table with the remaining soda in an old school Coca-Cola bottle. They have a few Japanese beverages too, you got: Calpis (er, Calpico here in America), Ramune, and canned teas.
This is a small, casual restaurant where you can just lean back and relax with some hot food. They serve alcohol too! There's also a TV in the corner so you can attempt to watch sports while you inhale all that great food. -

Definitely a 4-4.5 star place. We just happened upon this place by accident and what a nice little find in Chula Vista. Very deserving of the positive reviews.
Simple menu with bento boxes, rice bowls, a juicy, delish burger, and a bahn mi sandwich. Make sure to check what they have for daily specials and I was told that they often have special theme nights on the weekend, like sushi or pho. Food is fresh, healthy and made to order. No MSG! Everything is cooked/grilled perfectly. Prices are very reasonable.
Owners and staff are really, really nice and service is great. I know there are a lot of restaurants/eateries in the downtown area but trust me, skip the others and head over to Teriyaki Grill. -

I came here for the first time about a month ago, and it's a decision I do not regret. FRESH food, kind service, broad choice of asian inspired dishes; all this makes for a great experience at the Teriyaki Grill. This is now my favorite restaurant to go to, especially since it's only about 10 minutes from my house. EVERYTHING that I've tried so far is delicious, and I've made it my mission to go through everything on the menu. I've tried most of the things, and so far my favorites have to be the tuna ceviche appetizer (pretty spicy!), and the bbq bahn mi is AMAZING. I actually just tried the Bahn mi yesterday, and it's better than any I've had from actual Vietnamese/Bahn Mi restaurants. The meat is moist and packed with flavor(this goes for all their dishes, actually), great bread, and the sour kraut is homemade which is cool. The salmon salad & teriyaki salmon bowl/bento is great, they really know how to cook the salmon to perfection. Crispy flavorful skin, and the fish melts in your mouth. Mmmmm. Aside from the great food, the service is some of the best I've experienced. Vu(the owner) & his wife are some of the kindest people I've met, and the other workers there are great too. They always ask about your opinion on their food, and they definitely seem to take into consideration what you have to say. This restaurant deserves much more exposure and popularity. I love Teriyaki Grill!

The name, "Teriyaki Grill," does such a disservice to this casual dining spot. Based on the cliche name, I was expecting a notch above mall food.
To my surprise, the Japanese/Vietnamese with a Mexican, Chula Vista-influenced menu was excellent. The teriyaki salmon with its crispy salmon skin was perfectly grilled ($8). The asparagus, zucchini, and yam was smoky and crispy.
Very happy with the customer service. The server was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the food. Based on his descriptions of "off-the-menu" items, we tried the chimichurri sandwich on ciabatta bread ($8). The steak and garlic sauce was so tasty. -

I haven't been this impressed with customer service in a very long time. This was our first time visiting after we saw good review on Yelp and it was a bit busy. We had to wait a while, but they were so good about making us happy that they gave us a free appetizer to fill in the wait time. In general the server was awesome and the rest of the staff was friendly and welcoming.
AND to top it all off, the food was excellent. I highly recommend this place. The menu is simple, but filling and delicious! -

So delicious! We go like 3 times a week, but we can't help it! Delicious and fresh food can't be beaten!
Very friendly and the food is great! We went today for Taco Thursday, which was sooooo good!
Will probably be there tomorrow for the delicious pho!
Can't say enough about this place! Easily my family's favorite. -

Love this place. If you haven't been here yet - what are you waiting for? Great food, great prices, and great service. Casey and Vu are always eager to accommodate any of my special requests. No sugar? Sure. Low salt? Absloutely! low carbs? Why not! And their menu has grown up with many more choices to choose than when they first opened.

Thursday Evening, wanted to try something new in the area after running errands. Yelp brought me to this place.
A nice mellow family felt environment. I was the only one in the restaurant but wasn't awkward at all. Great customer service.
Ordered the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken Bento. Very delicious, nothing wrong with adding in Siracha.
Will come back again next time when I'm in the area. Thank you Teriyaki Grill! -
Review from Nicole F.
While I knew that the food would take awhile to come based on the reviews, I think that the atmosphere should not be stifling while you wait. In fairness, they turned on the AC when we asked if there was anyway to cool the place off. But for the first 20 minutes we felt like they were trying to recreate the true Asian experience with eating in summer heat. (I've lived there so I say this having experienced a Taiwan summer.)
Onto the food, the complimentary edamame shouldn't even be bothered with as there is no salt and it is way overcooked as other reviewers have mentioned. The fresh spring rolls are not typical as they have a thicker noodle versus rice vermicelli. Tastewise with the chicken and veggies in the roll, it was good. But we couldn't get past the texture of the thick overcooked white noodle. Also, 2 cost 4.75 which seemed too pricey.
Onto the bento, the rib had hardly any meat and was mostly fat. The kalbi ribs at Da Kine in Liberty Station are infinitely better. The chicken teriyaki was so-so but the frustrating part is that it had a lot of fat on it. Also, I overheard the owner telling customers who came after us that they ran out of chicken. Not cool. I worked at a Chinese restaurant 20 years ago and I'll never forget learning my first management lesson. A customer ordered fried bananas. They were out of bananas. What happened next? The owner went to the grocery store and bought bananas! Yes, maybe they took a little longer than normal but I'm sure they were some of the best fried bananas that customer had ever had!
We also tried the bulgogi, which was sirloin and tasted pretty good. The rice was not the brown rice that so many have commented on, but rather vietnamese white rice which I happen to enjoy. Overall though, we felt that there were too many misses to warrant a return. The banh mi sandwich looks good so if I was in the area I might call a good 15 minutes ahead to try it. Otherwise, both my husband and felt like the reviews here are way too kind. -

I can't believe I ate the whole thing.
Thankfully not in one sitting.

(I was playing chauffeur for my aunt and grandma because they had errands to do in the Chula Vista area. I made sure we didn't go until 1030 so by the time we were done it'd be 11 or so and Teriyaki Grill would be open.
We finished, and I called in my order: teriyaki chicken bento.
The girl who answered the phone said 15 minutes...(I was one block over on 4th about to turn on H...and TG is located on 3rd)
It took me a little bit longer to find parking, because they had some cones up in front and wasn't sure if i could park there so had to opt parking on a side street. A plethora of parking meters in the area.
Walked in, told them I had called in my order and was asked to take a seat since they were still cooking. No biggie. Watched a little CNN.
Watched the girl who took my order prepare other orders that had been called in, grilled veggies, chicken, rice.
She asked me if I was from the area, and how I heard about the place Yelp, of course.
Finally got my order and drove home, only to find out I wouldn't be enjoying my food for another 30 minutes or so because we made a few pit stops: bank, McDonalds for 42oz coke and french fries for my nanay :))***
Got home and was pleasantly surprised to the mountain of food in the styrofoam container. LOTS of rice and chicken, grilled veggie: sweet potato, asparagus, and zucchini, salad and eggrolls and three containers of sauce: teriyaki, dressing and sweet and sour? for the eggrolls.
Guess how much all that was?? Give up? a whomping $8.16! UNFKNBLVABLE
I'm picky when it comes to rice; hard rice and too soggy rice is not good at all. The consistency of their rice was spot on. The chicken was delicious drizzled with a little teriyaki sauce. The grilled veggies and small salad were good too.
Eggrolls? Lumpia? toe-may-toe-toe-ma-toe. were DELICIOUS especially with whatever dipping sauce they gave. I'll have to ask next time I go there.
Although, I haven't physically dined there yet I plan to very very soon! And I suggest you do too, if you're in the area. -

Chula Vista, CA
The best value meal from Teriyaki Grill has to be their teriyaki burger and fries for $5.99. The burger is juicy, full of flavor with cheese, pineapple slice, all the goodies and a mound of fries. I have ordered this meal on more than one occasion, called it in and gave them 15 to 20 minutes to get it ready. By the time I was ready to pick up my son from middle school down the street, the order was ready. My son could just smell it in the car and smiled.
If nothing else, try it once and you too will be a believer. -

This place is average. The food took a long time to come out. We ordered a sandwich and chicken curry and it took over 30 minutes to come out. We were the only customers. Can't imagine if they were actually busy. I wouldn't go again.

This was a place I checked out because I saw the reviews on Yelp and the Yelpers were on the money. I never had anything with curry before, so I tried the curry wings. They came out with cilantro on top and the cilantro with the curry was crazy good. Good thing I had the wings, because my sandwich took awhile, but was very good(the Steve sandwich). Only reason I give it 4 stars is the closest spots are metered parking and I was worried about meter maids while waiting for the sandwich to come.

Review from Ryan H.
Riverside, CA
I did a review a while back on Bento & Noodles. I gave them a one star review. The reason I mention a restaurant that is quite different from this one is simply because they have a couple important things in common.
They both serve bento boxes and they both provide customer service. Also they aren't that far apart from each other. Teriyaki Grill kills them in both bento boxes and customer service. The people are all so friendly you would swear they all have a major stake in the company. Also, the food is fresh and almost homemade like.
So what did we order? The first time we went we got the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer, Chicken bento box, and a Pineapple burger. The second time we got a Chicken bowl and the Chicken and Rib bento box followed by the Thai fried doughnuts.
It was all quite good. The chicken in the bento box is just worlds apart from the crap they try to pass off as meat at Bento & Noodles and other similar places. They also include some great freshly grilled vegetables on the bowls and bento boxes. To be honest though, although the mushrooms had a lot of flavor, it wasn't exactly for me. But I could see other people loving them. They were fresh and had a ton of flavor. Also the pineapple burger was missing a little something. I think some kind of teriyaki sauce. It did have flavor and was really big and fresh. I think they just try not to overdo it on their food to try and keep it on the healthy side.
Once you get stuck on a certain amount of seasoning and such, it sort of kills your taste buds and makes it difficult to enjoy more natural flavors. Like how some people always put A1 sauce on steaks, which is just an atrocity if you ask me. If it is a good steak you don't need such a thing. So anyways, I think I could have asked for some sauce or mayonnaise or something, but I wanted to just enjoy the burger the way they made it. I'm sure many people love that burger.
The bento boxes and bowls are great though. So tasty, so fresh, and so reasonably priced. You can't beat it especially when you add in the awesome customer service and great location near the corner of G st. and 3rd ave. So when they had a Groupon the other day for $7 for $14 I jumped on it and got two. I used one the very next day.
So anyways, the food is fresh, tasty, and apparently healthy. They also have a nice diverse menu from Vietnamese items to Japanese items. Check their website for the menu. Add in the amazing customer service that you so very rarely see anywhere, it's a no brainer to return here and often. -

I love the food here! Everything is so fresh and healthy. They use brown rice in their "bowls" and have yummy fresh veggies. The salmon is always good...grilled to perfection.
They have specials every day in addition to their regular menu and I have had a few really good ones. But my favorite thing here is their spicy teriyaki salmon bowl. YUM.
The people who work here are very friendly and genuine. The service is fast whether you eat in the restaurant or call in and pick up. -

Chandler, AZ
On a recent trip to San Diego, I came upon this place during my yelp research of restaurants to eat at while we were on vacation. I am super glad that I found this place because it is really awesome. It is a local Japanese place run by a husband and wife who are both really friendly people. They had a list of specials on a board in the restaurant but my husband and I both decided from the menu instead. It is small, but there are enough choices to make any person happy.
I decided on the tofu bowl, and my husband decided on the salmon bowl. I also ordered the side salad with ginger dressing. Before our food came out a complimentary side of edamame came out. At first I was confused by this because I thought maybe the waiter misunderstood that I wanted a salad. But we realized later that this was complimentary. It was kinda blah. Not hot, not salty at all like you expect edamame to be, and a little bit fishy. I did not enjoy this and honestly takes away from the greatness of this restaurant. This should either be removed from the menu or fixed to taste better.
The bowls came out after about fifteen minutes and we watched as the cooks make this fresh. The bowls are both filled with this soft, fluffy brown rice that is some of the best Ive had. They were topped with our choice of protein and then some grilled butternut squash and zucchini as well. They were both then topped with the teriyaki glaze that is sweet, but not overpoweringly sweet. They don't soak your dish in it which most places do. We both really enjoyed our bowls. There was a ton of food and it was hot, crispy protein, and super delicious. I loved the teriyaki sauce. I wish I could have tried the spicy sauce. The salad is also really good. The lettuce was fresh, and the dressing was the best ginger dressing I have ever had. Super fresh and light. So yummy.
The value is also really good. For all our food we spent about $17. I would definitely come back here if I was ever in the area again. -

I'm a sucker for anything Teriyaki and It's hard for me to dislike anything dripping in Teriyaki sauce. Well, I was say less than impressed with this restaurants food. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken and steak bento I think (forgettable food) The guy who took my order was confusing to me. I asked seemingly easy questions about the menu and was met with " but we can make anything you want" responses. I appreciate the attempt to be very accommodating, which should be another star in the service department, but I was confused about what to order though..oh well. The place looks clean enough (I ordered takeout) .
I received my food about 10 minutes later and opened the foam container and to my surprise...wait for it.....wait for it....food that looked as though it had been sitting for awhile. There were grilled veggies along with the chicken and beef inside the container. These veggies were soggy and not crisp as you would think they would be. It all tasted ok, but as I say, If its doesn't make my mouth sing then you don't get 5 stars. I had a groupon so the sting of paying full price for the meal was less, but I bought two groupons for this place! anyone want to groupon ticket????No really, maybe it was a sign from the man above to make me go back for a second chance. Teriyaki Grill here I come for round two! A second review will be coming to a Yelp site near you! -

Hey, y'all. Just wanted to let you know I went back because even first impressions can be wrong (for better or worse) and I'm very happy to report that Teriyaki Grill is still a truly terrific dining experience. We had the Spring Rolls to start - I'm crying right now just thinking about how good they were...fresh vegetables, irresistibly light wrap, exquisite peanut dipping sauce - Teriyaki Burger (unbelievably huge!), teriyaki chicken and rib bento (the ribs were flavorful, juicy and surprisingly tender) and the teriyaki beef. Ironically, we paid - okay, I paid - the same for dinner as at lunch.
I'm not really feeling all the plastic containers for the various sauces on the side and I'm sure they'll get the timing down on the entrees - hey, they're new, okay - but I'm more than willing to drive down from North Park for this gem of a restaurant.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I have been to this Teriyaki Grill with my boyfriend a few times. We always get the fried spring rolls. Mmm! I usually get the chicken/rice bowl with vegetables, which is great! The vegetables are grilled perfectly and the chicken is full of flavor. They ask you if you would like it spicy (i love spicy) and it tastes great! Today I had something different. I had the baguette sandwich and I have to say that it is hands down the best sandwich ever!!! WOW! It has fresh veggies and the meat is cooked perfectly.
The service is great and they are always checking up on you to see if you need anything... The restaurant is very clean !
It's on 3rd Ave. and G street .
We will definitely , definitely come back again and very much recommend it to everyone!!!!
Im lucky to have this place so close! -
Review from Seila K.
California lacks quality teriyaki restaurants. Growing up in the Seattle area, I sure do know my teriyaki. There are more teriyaki restaurants there than there are burger joints.
Food -
We ordered the teriyaki chicken bento box and the stuffed mushrooms. The bento box came with well grilled chicken with a light teriyaki sauce. There is more sauce on the table if you like to drench your chicken in sauce, but the chicken was very high quality. Juicy pieces that they took their time on. There was also a salad, which was just green leaf lettuce and a great salad dressing. The egg rolls were fried and very tasty. Stuffed mushrooms were also great.
Atmosphere -
the place had a really laid back atmosphere. Great place to get together with a small group of friends and there was even a TV that had DirecTV satellite service where we were able to watch a basketball game. We were never rushed, and had time to talk to the owners and share our feedback.
Service-
Awesome and friendly. They were quite busy when we were there so they did a good job of balancing the jobs of attending to customers and actually cooking the food.
I'm excited to come back and try out there pho or there other daily specials! -

Came upon Teriyaki Grill through their Sign on San Diego Deal. Overall, I had a great experience here. It wasn't busy when my boyfriend and I came. The waiter was very polite and atteneded to us whenever we needed something or if he just wanted to see if everything was ok.
I got the teriyaki chicken bento box. It comes with the chicken, rice, vegetables, salad, and 2 egg rolls. I loved the chicken. It had the right amount of sauce to accompany it. My boyfriend got the spicy salmon bento box. The bento boc came with the same things as the chicken one but...of course with salmon in it. It came with a decent amount of salmon...although it would have been better if there was another piece. He said he enjoyed his meal as well.
Teriyaki Grill is a bit far from where my boyfriend lives but we would definitely go back if we were in the area. -

Decent lunch hour spot.
My co-worker C and I stopped by for lunch. She ordered a teriyaki burger and I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl (half spicy, half regular).
C really enjoyed her burger. It was the size of her head!
My chicken teriyaki bowl came with a generous portion of brown rice, tender chicken, and some veggies. They aren't kidding when they say that their chicken is spicy! I'm not one to turn down a spicy-challenge, but I'm glad I ordered half regular.
Service is friendly, fast, excellent. I'd come here again on my lunch break. -

I read the reviews here yesterday, and though I wasn't planning on heading to the Teriyaki Grill straight away, but I was running errands in CV, saw the sign, and decided to give it a try.
It is actually about 4 to 4.5 stars, but it appears to be a work in progress. It is clear the place just opened and they are still in the process of getting it all down to a science. While I was there today several people came in who already appear to be regulars.
The people running this place are friendly and they are actively soliciting feedback: How was the food, how did you find them, anything they could do better? You order at the counter, but your food is then brought to your table if you are eating in. This time they had me pay after I ate, but I suspect they will find it easier to have customers pay when they order (unless they are planning on going to full table service and present a bill at the end of the meal).
The food is pretty damned good. I had the Vietnamese BBQ pork baguette. The meat was perfectly seasoned; just the right combo of sweet and savory. It could have used just a little bit more pickled vegetables, and much of the jalapeno was bunched up in one spot resulting in a single nuclear hot bite towards the middle (I usually check the inside of a bahn mi for just this reason and remove about half of the pepper seeds, but this time I forgot). The fresh spring rolls were also tasty. I like mint, green onion, and other herbs in spring rolls and these delivered. I just wish Vietnamese eateries would go back to serving nuc cham (condiment of fish sauce, vinegar, carrots, and turnips or radish) instead of the hoi sin and peanut sauce mixtures that have taken over. Still, these were very good and well wrapped.
Next visit I will try one of the bento and an iced coffee or Calpico or Ramune or one of the other Asian drinks I haven't had in a long time. -

This place is a new restaurant so they need a little tweaking.
I ordered the chicken and steak bowl which was 6.90.
The sauce was not too sweet but the meats were not seasoned much really. The whole bowl lacked flavor.
The veggies were grilled which was a nice touch since many places just steam them and put them in the bowl.
The steak was mostly bone and the meat was tough and had some gristle.
Friendly people though and I hope they work it out.
They need time to get this place in sync. -

I like it. A lot. The menu is simple and the food is full of flavor and seems pretty healthy. I had the bento teriyaki chicken. It came with ginger salad, 2 egg rolls, grilled vegetables, and brown rice with hiziki. I'm not typically a fan of ginger dressing, but their ginger dressing is superb. Others in my party had the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl and teriyaki salmon bowl and they loved them. The bowls come with brown rice with hiziki and grilled veggies. The hiziki was in a liquid form and was spread over the rice. I was skeptical of it, but it added a nice flavor to the rice. Oh, and by the way, the spicy teriyaki sauce is HOT. Flavorful and tasty, but hot.
For the main items you can choose to have it as a bowl or as a bento. They also have a few Vietnamese items.
I'll definitely be going back - often. -

We (husband, me and 12 year old son) came here before a movie at UltraStar. Found the place via the entertainment book. What a find! We are not experienced in Japanese-style food but had a great dinner. The food was SO fresh and beautifully prepared. I had teriyaki chicken bowl and the only criticism is - I would not use eggplant in this dish. It does not grill well. Very dry and like cotton texture. But the rest of the vegetables were great. Husband had a bento box of chicken and ribs. They even gave him extra edamame b/c he said he liked it. Son had the beef teriyaki bowl. All was great. Service so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area. Prices were really reasonable.

This place is really good. I saw all the positive reviews, so I went there for lunch today.
I had the spicy chicken teriyaki as a bento lunch. It came with two spring rolls, salad with ginger dressing, and brown rice topped with grilled vegetables. Everything was good, but the rolls and dipping sauce were fantastic. The presentation was also nice. My only gripe is that the chicken seemed a little undercooked. I had lunch with a can of Calpico, a tasty, tangy, slightly milky beverage.
At $10, the price was also right. If I'm back in the area, I'll definitely be a repeat customer. -

Update: After coming back numerous times , I've tried many things on the menu and have been amazed by each item. Each item is a perfect blend of exquisite flavors without overpowering the palate. The customer service couldn't be any better. A gem in the heart of Chula Vista. Can't say enough about this place, healthy , delicious food at an amazing price. Highly recommend this place!!!

Love, Love, Love this place! I ordered the Spicy grilled Salmon--it was great. Rice was pretty good too. I tried the Tofu Cheesecake and I thought it was a lot lighter than regular cheesecake and it didn't taste too different either. Of course, the customer service is one of the best. Personable, friendly and helpful. This place is a must try!
