Tenth & Proper Boutique is a gorgeous treat. It's a simple but elegant space, spacious enough to feel roomy, but with plenty to look at, and beautiful decor, including a painting of birds on the main wall. The clothes are classic, modern and quality with an emphasis on flattering cut, strong design and timelessness.
This is a great place to go for the wardrobe basics you can't live without - the perfect skirt, the dress in which you look fabulous and can dress up or down - with a subtle twist to make it original. They have many gorgeous accessories, too, and it's clear the owner/proprietor/buyer has a keen eye for style and a real love of the industry, as well as pride in the boutique itself.
The lighting is flattering, the prices are reasonable (especially when factoring in the quality), and the staff are helpful and friendly. Definitely a welcome part of Point Grey. -

When I need to fill a spot in my wardrobe with some basics that are unique, impeccably tailored using top quality fabrics but with enough of a fashion edge to never appear boring this is the place I look to.
Every garment in the store seems to have arrived on the rack only after thoughtful consideration and more often than not I can flip through the rack coveting everything.
This is not a store that chases trends and I suspect would not be the least bit appealing to the under 21 crowd. They carry a varied selection of local, Canadian and European designers, many of whom I think are unique in Vancouver to this store. There is a nice relaxed vibe and I have never felt uncomfortable even if I am only browsing. It is however not a store for the budget conscious unless you are buying yourself a quality investment piece. -

Located in lovely Point Grey, Tenth & Proper carries stylish basics for women and men. The store's in-house line ProperTy combines gorgeous textures and quality with affordability (even though I'm told it is produced in France by the same manufacturers of Prada and Jil Sander basics). Plenty of Canadian and international labels to choose from.

This is a high end women's clothing boutique with an emphasis on elegant yet slightly funkier than conservative work and going out wear. The styles here are not trendy, but emphasize well-made and more classic looks sometimes with a bit of an edge. This isn't really a shop for younger women, it has a slightly more mature vibe and the clothes here would do a great job of keeping any woman au courant without being ridiculously trendy. Come here for tailored jackets, well-made skirts and blouses, along with fancier dresses and some accessories like scarves.
