This location of Ten Ren's in Yorkdale is located across from the movie theater entrance beside Indigo.  It used to be located in a booth across from Guess but they've leased a store which sells the bubble tea drinks as well as take home tea from Taiwan.

My orders rotate around 4 drinks.
    Listed in order of sweetness:

Honey Green Tea (cold) - Light and refreshing

Taro Slush -  A colleague of mine described this perfectly: "tastes like cookies and cream".  It's powder based at this location- Ten Ren's location Richmond Hill (111 Times Ave.) provides a fresh version using real taro.  I like that slightly better (although it costs more).

Mango Slush  - Syrup based.  It tastes sweeter in comparison  to mango slushies from Pho restaurants.

Strawberry Green Tea - If you like strawberries and like it sweet - this is for you.  Their version has little chunks of strawberry in it.  Or at least in the past.

Overall, I like Ten Ren's.  It's a refreshing drink to walk around the mall with.  My only complaint is that it's quite expensive when you really think about it...costing more that grande lattes at Starbucks.  Look to spend anywhere between $4.50 to 7.50 for a drink.

I just recently found out about this tea store. While I have not tried the bubble tea before, I have tried their loose leaf tea(Oolong and Green), both are reasonably priced. If you are looking for herb infused teas, this store has plenty of them.In addition to slimming teas, sedative teas, green tea supplements, etc

Ten Ren's Tea Time has upgraded from a kiosk to a full shop -- complete with an area for special tastings. No food though.

Ten Ren's teas are generally good. I tried one of their Zodiac smoothies the other day. Gemini (Mango and Coconut) was very good. It came with tapioca pearls which I thought could've been strained a little better before the smoothie went in.

I also like that they stay open a little longer than the rest of the stores in the mall, so you can grab something on your way out after the stores have kicked you out. Haha!

With all the Ten Ren locations around the U.S., I feel like Ten Ren is the Starbucks of bubble tea shops. They offer an "experience," and that experience is roughly the same from shop to shop, but in the end, the final product is decent, but nothing earth shattering. Service, though, is fast and efficient. You'll see a long line outside Ten Ren's Tea Time, but you're not in for a very long wait.
