This place is great and I love the fact that you don't have the haggle with them to get the amount of tea that you asked for like you do at Teavana.
The staff is amazing when your not sure what exactly your looking for they are very helpful and knowledgeable, I have never received a recommendation I didn't like.
If you like Oolong tea try the Oolong milk tea, it's amazing! -

Tea is my addiction. So many flavours, especially dessert inspired creations that are low calorie and guilt free. Great selections of these to tie you over until your cheat day. Strawberries and Cream tea....yes please. There used to be another tea store in Metrotown on the lower level that sadly closed, therefore, since this opened, my tea purchase fix has been renewed. In general I refuse to buy tea in bags and boxes at grocery stores unless I am familiar with the brand. Like wine connoisseurs, I take my tea seriously and I like to smell, touch and sip my tea like fine wine. Don't be thrown off by the fact that they're inside a mall, they have great selection of loose leaf teas at reasonable to high prices, depending on taste. They also carry their own matcha in two grades for those green tea lovers such as myself. Even though it was busy, the staff were really friendly and acted as though they really liked their job which is rare for any retail location inside the Metrotown mall in general. The lady was very knowledgeable and helpful. I decided to put her to the test just to see how trained and knowledgeable the staff really were on tea selections. The good news is that she passed my test when I quizzed her about the two different types of quality and quality of Matcha tea. If any tea establishment can pass my tea quiz, they're worth my bling in tea. This location also has a tea bar. There is very limited seating, therefore, it's a grab and go for the rest of your shopping needs type of place. They're one of the few tea locations that have properly trained staff to sniff test bulk teas.

Green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea... I love variety.
This store is fairly new and is near the food court in Metrotown. They have quite an assortment of teas. Some of my favorites are Autumn Breeze and Sangria. The smell is fragrant and the flavours are intense.
There's usually 2 tea sample stations in the front of the store so feel free to have a little sample when you pass by. Teaopia also sells tea pot and cup sets as well. A great gift for many of my friends as well as my grandma since they love teas.
The store also recently started selling cupcakes. I haven't tried any yet, but they look delicious.Listed in: Healthy Eats

An amazing store! I've been to several Teaopias in the lower mainland, on the island, and in Alberta, and this one is by far my favourite. The staff is fun and knowledgeable and seem to actually LIKE their jobs, which is nice. They have armchairs to sit in and they always offer you samples. Definitely more of an experience than a shopping trip :P I make sure I go every time I'm at metrotown.

I visited both Metrotown and Richmond Centre locations and I find the service really good (better at Richmond Centre). They greet you when you walk in and ask if you need any help. There are several places that have samples to try. I find their products very useful (i love tea).
