One of the best bbt places ever. Not your average Chinese/Taiwanese run bbt places. The owners, Chris and Kate, put lots of emphasis on perfecting their tea flavours. So whether you are a tea enthusiast or simply want good bbt, this is the place to be.
The atmosphere is more on the calm/quiet side (again compared to typical bbt places), which makes it a great place to catch up with friends or even to study. Plus, Chris, being a musical conductor, means there's always very cool ambient music that play here.
I used to come here on a daily basis, it's been quite the struggle for me since I've moved away from the area.
Tips: Buy a gift card. Each time u load $30 on it. U get a free bbt. -

Tealips is not a typical looking BBT place. It looks more westernized and I don't mind that at all. I find it a lot more comfortable and not overrun with the super cutesy colors/styles.
I had a chance to try their matcha readbean dessert waffle and loved it. The waffle was freshly made and combining it with the cold ice cream. Heaven...
I can't recall if there were two sizes, but I will definitely go with the larger size next time! -

I didn't get a chance to have a drink, but the waffles were amazing.
Maybe I'm biased because I enjoy waffles so much, but it seems that these waffles are pretty fantastic. The toppings go so well, and waffles themselves are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I enjoyed one waffle type more than the other. Whatever the square shaped one is, I liked that one better. The cinnamon banana waffle with vanilla ice cream was amaze balls.
Go try. You won't be disappointed.Listed in: True Comfort, Dessert

I love variety, I love uniqueness & that's why I enjoy coming here. I've come here a couple of times and the last couple of times I haven't been disappointed with their service nor their products. This little cafe has a huge variety of tea and you can make these teas into lattes. I tried the Jasmine Latte for the first time and I like it waaaaaay better than the green tea latte. I'm a big fan of ice cream and you must try the matcha green tea ice cream. do it! I said so!!
My friends and I sat there for a very long time and there was a light stream of people trickling in and out. The place was not noisy and there were a lot of other groups of people having their own conversations. The tables were spaced out perfectly so it didn't feel too cramped. There is wifi so bring your netbooks/ipads/smartphones to kill some time if you are waiting for someone. It's out of the way from where I live and I need to find an excuse to go there. -

Before visiting Tealips, I had only had one sip of bubble tea in my life. This is unacceptable, especially for living in Vancouver. We chose this bubble tea place because it was close to New Westminster where we had dinner earlier in the evening.
This bubble tea place is very clean and open with plenty of tables to sit at. It is pretty quiet, so you can actually have a conversation with friends. If you're not a huge fan of bubble tea, Tealips also offers a wide variety of tea's and coffee's. You can smell some of the tea's near the cash register, and a lot of them smell fantastic (especially Starry Night and Chocolate Monkey). I will probably come back later just try some of their tea's. If you're looking for something sweet, they also sell cookies and waffles.
My friends recommended that I try the strawberry milk tea with mango jelly, so I ordered that. My boyfriend and another friend ordered the taro milk tea with mango jelly. Each bubble tea with the mango jelly cost ~$4.50 (with HST). All of our tea's were ready quickly and were absolutely fantastic. The mango jelly is more like mango slices, but it was very good. I can't rave about the bubble tea enough. For never really having bubble tea before, I think I'm hooked.
If you want bubble tea and you're in this area, go to Tealips. You won't regret it.Listed in: Where To Go For That Vancouver…

Tealips isn't your ordinary bubbletea place on Kingsway. It's has a very modern style resembling the feel of a comfortable Starbucks. They offer tea, coffee, smoothies, lattes, and loose leaf tea drinks. They have a small selection of homemade waffles and cookies as well.
This place is easy to miss as it's hidden behind Highgate mall in a residential area. It's very clean, cozy, quiet, and pretty upscale for a bubbletea place. Good place to hang out and wind down your day as they play soft music in the background.
Their coffees are from 100% Arabica beans and include organic, americano, lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and espressos. They have really good loose leaf teas, iced or hot. They may not have as many flavours as other bubbletea places but their teas are real loose leaf flavour and very high quality for bubbletea.
There's a small section beside the cash register where you can grab a quick prepackaged baked cookie and loose tea leafs.
They offer two types of Belgium waffles, Brussels and liege. I ordered the brussels type with chocolate and almonds. The presentation was very well done and tasted great with the accompanied walnuts and ice cream on top. The homemade cookies are outstanding especially the Earl Grey.
Overall, it's a modern style tea bar with good quality drinks that justify the premium prices. -

Stylish, free wifi, good coffee, good smoothies, this is a good place to stop by. The drinks are quite pricey, the waffles are a reasonable price(I think) I don't have much experience buying dessert waffles. It's very clear the focus is not on the waffles though, the plate was heavy on appearance, but light on freshness and warmth. The waffles did not seem freshly made, they were tough and cold and the fruit was still frozen. However, The ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream still made it an enjoyable treat. I had a white chocolate mocha, the smallest size was still pretty substantial. It was a good, flavourful mocha and their yoghurt smoothies are really good, too. The service was patient, yet, not all that friendly, the atmosphere was nice. I know it's a bit odd I didn't go here for bubble tea, I'll get to it, I'm sure.

Cozy, clean Korean bubble tea joint.
Situated in the well-developed HighGate village, this may be my favourite BBT place in town. Fresh, funky interior design with styling chairs, this is a go-to spot for studious students, lovers, and friends. Note to the young single types: this is definitely a good place for your hunt rather than put up with the BS of bars.
Their fresh fruit smoothies and BBT are exceptional. I've never been a fan of the powdered junk packed of sugar that most places sell. They got a solid selection of flavours as well as coffee and baked goods.
Staff are genuine and appreciate. They always say thank you when you leave. A simple thing that most places miss.

Great freshly made shaved ice and bubble and slush drinks which are fantastic! Green tea shaved ice is my favorite followed by cocoa then redbean. They are made as they're ordered and it also comes with a scoop of ice cream in the middle. The bubble tea is also very good, made with fresh juice or fruit and the pearls are genuine, not chemically made! It does take some time to prepare, so there is some wait time, but you also get a punch card each time you go, which is a bonus as it is a little on the pricey side to have often, but it doesn't stop us from going!
