I was super excited to see a bubble tea/dessert place open up in City Place - the Tea Shop 168 is a recent addition to the area. They offer the standard bubble tea assortment, dessert plus appetizer asian fare. My sister and I got a waffle to share, an ice coffee and taro bubble tea. Service was great and our drinks were prepared promptly. They are even open late till 2am on Friday and Saturday nights!
They even have $1.99 bubble tea special going on! Check out Tea Shop 168 if you are in the City Place area. -

I hate to give bad reviews to a place where I experienced positive things such as service, atmosphere, people and location.
I just cannot justify giving it anymore than 2-stars because of the food. Going to Ten Ren (another type of Chinese tea & food shop) has set my bar fairly high as I was expecting some delicious food along with drinks that compliment it.
I found that Tea Shop 168 has too much of an emphasis on its drinks and leaves much to be desired in the food category. Its bubble tea is fine (not the best that I've had). The food was borderline horrible. My proteins had been microwaved and came out dry and tough, its sauce had been reduced and was overly salty, and my noodles were basic udon with whatever MSG-laden soup stock you can find at a generic supermarket.
Quite disappointed with the food. Shame, the staff there were very nice and worked very efficiently. Would I go back there? Only if Liberty Shawarma and St. Louis Ribs were closed. I can get microwaved food across the street at Sobey's. The only redeeming factor was that I live within 5 minutes of the place. Not so redeeming when I feel that the 5 minute walk may or may not have been a waste of effort. -

What a rip-off! I pretty much paid $7 for ice considering everything I asked for was "extra": fresh mango, tapioca, large size. Never again!!! Nope, no thanks.
