Review from Sean D.
Rooftop patio is awesome, jus don't job as it is very high, (you probably won't make it). Great bar with good food! Perfect to hang before or after a Jets game.

Cool bar. Spent a couple of hours here when I was visiting a friend in Winnipeg. The service could be much better. The waitress would disappear for about 20 minutes to go get us a drink. Decent Beer. Food gets nothing more than 2 stars.

I'm sooo not a fan of this place but it has a great location next to the MTS Centre so it's an easy meeting place. The rooftop is nice when it's open in the summer. This is a place for a couple of beers and maybe nachos and wings, otherwise, save your $ if you consider ordering dinner here. I've tried the steak sandwich twice at this location as none of the other items ever appealed to me. I know not to expect much from a steak sandwich in a pub but jeez, this one has no flavour whatsoever! I love steak but I didn't even finish it so that tells you how bad it was.
One thing I really dislike is how the menu smelled like a dirty dish rag. Yes it's great that they wipe the menu but can't they use a clean dish cloth? Yuck....it probably ranks up there as one of the most unappetizing scents one can smell in a restaurant.
But, the beer is always flowing here as the servers are good at keeping those glasses filled so I guess that's all that counts at a place like this right? -

I'm not a pub purist. I just like a good place to get good beers and palatable pub food with chairs enough for my friends.
This two-story location has NEVER left a friend unseated. Even has outdoor seating. Had group gatherings for work there. For friends inside. Good times every time. -

Great view from roof top at night. Drinks on roof top a bit more pricier than inside

Been here a few times over the last year, and recently the last time once again has me asking why did I come back. I will admit sitting on the roof sipping a beer is great, however I find most of the food here is just not worth the effort to order. Yes if some friends ask to meet here I will be back, just do not expect me to ask anyone to meet me here I find something better.

As generic and mass-market as it gets, this is a typically north American interpretation of a pub.
Tawdry kilted and flouncy bloused servers deliver mournful morsels that scarcely pay homage to pub grub. To the uninitiated, the menu is good on paper. On the palate...not so much. But hey, you're here to drink with your chums and Tavern United's sprawling floor plan guarantees you'll be able to do just that. And the rooftop patio is real highlight in downtown Winnipeg.

Fun place to have a beer on the rooftop patio in the summer! The downtown location even has Sam Adams on tap (which was hard to find last time I was in wpg). But it's probably best to avoid eating there, unless you're a fan of super-greasy bar food. Which I'll admit, is tasty once in awhile. Just don't expect anything above mediocre, likely deep-fried, salty snacks.
