Had an awesome experience getting my tattoo. Jeremy knew exactly what would look good and where to place it on my arm. His knowledge and crisp artwork is top notch and I would recommend him to anyone! He is very easy to talk to and makes you feel at home in his shop.

This is where I went to get my arm sleeve done. Originally I had a big black spider on my arm, and as I got older I realized that a spider doesn't really represent who I am, so I decided to get it covered. Jeremy (the tattoo artist) drew out a cherry blossom branch that fit over the tattoo and we began the process of changing it. I have now added Japanese style waves to the sleeve and it looks great! You can still make out the spider, at least I can, because I know its there.
Jeremy has a great sense of humour and is a really down to earth dude, so being stuck in a chair for hours on end getting your arm poked with needles isn't as bad as you'd expect - the hardest part is trying to hold still while you are trying not to laugh. His prices are reasonable and they vary depending on the size of the tattoo and detail involved. Since my piece was so big he charged me per hour rather than one amount for the whole thing. Make sure you hassle him for an appointment because he does get booked up pretty fast.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Andrew S.Fort Worth, United States1573Sep 18, 2017
I had an awesome experience with Logan Morrison while visiting from out of town. He was extremely personable and easy to work with. Most other places I called about a walk-in wanted me to come in with an almost exact reference design. Logan, however, was extremely accommodating and willing to work with me. I came in with a rough idea and he designed something that was EXACTLY what I wanted on the spot. The tattoo came out immaculate. The colors are so vivid and the design was executed perfectly. It was literally everything I could've hoped for and more. The shop was also exactly what you want in a tattoo shop. It was simple and extremely laid back. The tattoo itself was very also very affordable, especially compared to other shops in the area.
In short, Logan is the man. I'd recommend him to anyone. I can't wait to visit Vancouver again and come back for another unbelievable souvenir.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiara Q.Delta, BC115May 22, 2013
I've wanted a tattoo since I was 16, but I waited it out for 5 years to fully commit, because I knew whatever I wanted when I was a teenager would inevitably change. I didn't want to regret it.
So, when it came to a point where I was fully ready to take the tattoo plunge, I was recommended to Tattoo Union, specifically Cohen Floch, by my cousin. I'll admit, I was somewhat nervous getting my first tattoo done; it wasn't because I was afraid of pain, but what it would look like.
You see, I'm artistic as well so having someone translate my vision into what they interpret it to be is always a scary and anxiety-provoking experience for me. But, I was reassured by his drawings and my cousin's experience that I was in good hands.
I got my first tattoo just over a year ago and it is on the right side of my ribcage. While many people find this spot particularly painful, I didn't find it painful at all. I actually found it kinda ticklish. This is probably a combination of my high pain tolerance and Cohen's light hand.
Since then, Cohen has done all my tattoos (I have 4 now; 2 more pending). Cohen's personable, a great conversationalist, and has an amazing ability to take your idea and make it better. I will not even look at another tattoo place as long as Cohen is still around.
Note: Prices vary depending on the tattoo and its size. I have no complaints regarding pricing.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jasmine O.Vancouver, BC10142937Apr 26, 2012
We had an exquisite time with Cohen and the price was sweet. Today just changed my tattoo life.....
That was my quick tip.
For my review I'd like to add that the style and atmosphere was pretty great. The view of Broadway and Main street was a nice focal point and the price was verrrry decent. No tax. Cash only.
Afterwards i ripped one of their phonebooks in half (my special talent) and threw in another $20 on top of the tip. Pleasant day.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kate H.Vancouver, BC15533May 23, 2013Updated review
updating to add I have already been back once for another tattoo from Jeremy and it's absolutely mind-blowing. Strangers stop me on the street. His black and white work is just incredible.
And i have to admit - I came in with a bunch of photos and Jeremy gave them one look and was like "nope." Not necessarily what I was hoping but boy am i grateful because he was totally right.
I should probably stop leaving reviews because he's going to be booked up all the time....Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 5, 2012Previous reviewOne year later and my tattoo still looks awesome. I get compliments every time I'm out and I've even had people ask me if it's a "Jeremy" piece. His work with flowers is that recognizable! Amazing. I'm saving up to get back in there before christmas.
Also I see below now that someone else had a big black tattoo covered up with a cherry blossom branch. Worth mentioning that the cherry blossoms were 100% my suggestion, and Jeremy just explained why that would work well. So ... it's NOT that he covered up every botched/old tat with cherry blossoms :) Just co-incidence.Oct 2, 2011Previous reviewjeremy is an all-star. he's honest-to-god incredible at what he does.
the long and short of my story is that I had a botched tattoo on my wrist that was so bad, I spent a year wearing a thick cuff bracelet. I got 4 laser removal sessions, but at $80 a pop, I decided I would rather spend money to cover it up.
Not an easy cover up. it was a black crow, totally filled in. Pretty much a huge black spot.
I walked in to tattoo union to talk to jeremy to see what he thought. I was super nervous and embarassed.
"No problem." said Jeremy, "I'm really sorry this happened to you. I'll cover it up with something really beautiful. In the long run, you'll be happy you had this shitty experience because you're going to end up with something great."
I was sold hook, line, and sinker for Jeremy after that. Two minutes with him was all it took.
Three months later (he's very popular) I was back. We had decided cherry blossoms would be a good cover up. We spent maybe an hour talking about what was going to look good and Jeremy was very honest and straight forward with me, which I appreciated to no end. 30 minutes of drawing, both on my skin, and then on paper. I had last minute cold feet, nervous about getting an even bigger tattoo that I would regret.
But when Jeremy came out with the final sketch, on transfer paper, I knew this was it. it was PERFECT. it was everything I'd described (or failed to describe very well). An hour and a bit later, I was beaming with pride over my new tat.
I could gush for ever. I've been to a slew of tattoo shops in van. I will never return. I am Jeremy's now, forever and ever. He won me over with his charm, his kindness, his sense of humour, his laid back attitude, his straight forward personality, and of course, his incredible talent.
jeremy: THANK YOU.
i'll be back again and again. you're a lifesaver. - Deandra V.Vancouver, BC1424655May 21, 2012
Cohen is my guy. He's done both of my ribs which were both giant cover ups. They look amazing! Gentle hand too. Don't know if I would be able to get my ribs finished with a heavy hand. The location is upstairs in the Lee building which is nice. Feel a bit more private without a bunch of walk-by traffic. I recommend all of my clients and friends here and they have all been very pleased.

Being at tattoo union is an incredible experience, the shop looks, feels, and smells like a tattoo shop should. It's second floor location feels like an exclusive club that someone was silly enough to let me in. The artists there are top notch and the long haired fellow Jeremy steers the ship and keeps it off the rocks. Stare down though a window to Mt Pleasant patrons and enjoy your experience to the fullest. Your tattoo will be good, will be there later, and Jeremy might go for coffee or take you book shopping upon request, or maybe not depending on your appeal.
