Looking at the reviews, I had to give this place a shot, and boy were you guys correct.
I arrived at around 2:30pm, so the place was empty. I was scared at first since it was deserted, but I was welcomed by Matthew himself, introduced me to the Philly cheesesteak, which I obviously ordered. He allowed me to try out the various sauces and cheeses. At the end, I went with the Havarti, as Mozzarella and Cheddar are two very common cheeses.
As for the cheesesteak itself. YUM. Quality for sure. I told Matthew I will definitely come back, and hopefully I'll be hungrier to try the full sandwich (I only had the wrap). -

This place cooks its juicy Angus steak with mushrooms, onions, and jalapeno havarti cheese. It's all cradled in a fluffy hoagie bun (choice of whole wheat wrap) and your choice of toppings. Delicious comfort food on a cold January afternoon!
Full rating for food, service, and price. Less one star for uncomfortable bar-style seating with no backs. -

I tried this place several years ago when it first opened. It is by far the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. The deal maker is the roasted red pepper topping. It's definitely one of the best places to eat in downtown Kitchener.

One of the best quick meals you can grab in downtown Kitchener.
Tastes good and the sandwiches are big, maybe a tad pricey for what it is. Should have a wider selection of toppings and I would've liked to have my bun toasted, but otherwise recommended! -

The food is tasty, but $43 to feed three people (3 Angus Philly sandwiches, a single order of fries, an Angus Gyro and pop for everyone) seems more than a lot of money to pay for what you get. I understand that the food is tasty, but the portion is not that large. I had to add an Angus Gyro because I wasn't full enough.

Delicious, I have been here twice now on both of my previous visits to K/W and this will be my stop the next time I'm there too. Owner is really friendly and even let us try a free taster of the montreal smoked meat topped with mozzerella cheese while we were waiting. I've only had the philly cheesesteak sandwich so far but if I lived closer I'd definitely be trying the rest. Great spot for take-out.

My brother and I were looking for somewhere to eat before I dropped him off at his residence. He's a student at Laurier, and being an hour away from home, we weren't sure what was around.
Originally, we were heading to a pita place a few doors over and that's when Taste of Philly Cheesesteak caught my eye. What a blessing.
We both got the namesake Philly Cheesesteak. There is a helpful letter to new customers on the wall, explaining what to expect and how to order. It's all straight-forward, but it suggested we put Havarti on the cheesesteak. I trusted the sign.
It was incredible. The service was quick and extremely helpful. The cost is reasonable, considering the cook throws a full steak on the grill before chopping it up with your veggies, and sticking it all together with the cheese of your choice. The food was top notch.
Taste of Philly Cheesesteak has become ritual. Now every time I take the trip to pick up my brother, we're sure to get the best Philly cheesesteaks in all of Ontario. -

It's as good as they say.
I chatted with the owner/chef while he made my sandwich. His name is Matthew, and he made me feel welcome :)
I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of the food. I will most certainly be going back, and possibly ordering delivery too. -

I use to eat of Philly Cheesesteak religiously! Everything on the menu is delicious, the owners are so nice! Service is always fast, and you can never leave hungry!
