This recently opened location is a very welcome addition to any neighborhood! The store is quite narrow but the design is quite stunning, with floor to ceiling wood panels, displaying a gorgeous assortment of sterling silver jewellery. The young lady running the store that day told me that the owners, Hector and Melissa Aragon, along with recently opening another store, have just had a baby! Clearly, this ambitious couple knows what they are doing! The jewellery being sold at Taraxca hails mostly from Canadian and Mexican artists, with some designs beginning to come in from Asia, Africa, India and Europe.
If I haven't talked about the jewellery itself yet, it is mostly because there is such a diverse selection and I love all of it! There are some truly exquisite pieces done entirely in sterling silver and others set with gemstones, pearls and abalone in intricate designs, along with red coral, amber, steel, West Coast Native and wood designs to put some sparkle in your eye. Simply gorgeous! I also haven't mentioned that the prices are totally reasonable leaving you with the opportunity to indulge in a beautiful piece for yourself or someone else! -

A bit overpriced for the quality. Nice designs though - pretty unique.
I went in to get a gift - a pair of shiny gorgeous teardrop earrings...but alas, one had few scratched on it, clearly sloppily maid. For 64$ silver earrings one would expect better.
However, few of their things are simply stunning. Will continue to visit for sure. Advice for the owner: if you charging a bit more than usual for silver, make sure that the quality lives up. -

Ever since they opened, Taraxca Sterling Silver has been a generous and continual supporter of our nonprofit organization, the Canadian Network for International Surgery (http://www.cnis.ca). They have contributed their stunning silver jewellery to several of our fundraisers for Africa, where their liquid silver necklaces have produced an auction bidding war like no other!
Taraxca also hosted a fundraiser for CNIS, helping us ship thousands of new surgical books to Africa. We are deeply grateful to Melissa, Hector and the staff for their help and would warmly recommend their silver jewellery to anyone looking for unique and classy gifts. I am taking a couple of their pieces with me to Norway next week, so don't be surprised if they open a branch in Oslo soon! -

As Volunteer Manager for the Giovanni Bastone Foundation http://www.bastonefoun.../ I am always looking for items that will initiate interest and high bids for the silent auction at our annual fundraiser. I walk past the Taraxca Sterling Silver 4th avenue store virtually every day and was immediately struck by how beautiful and reasonably priced their jewellery was. We were delighted when they generously agreed to donate a piece to our auction two years in a row. The jewellery is stunning and generated massive interest from our guests and was one of our best items in going over the actual price. Whenever I return to Ireland I always buy some pieces for my friends because they are so beautiful and unique. I would highly recommend Taraxca for their generosity matches the beauty of their pieces. Personally I would love to receive any item from this store.
