Review from John Paul T.

I love Kingston and I love Tango!
This tapas bar is a wonderful addition to the city and its nightlife scene (which are usually dominated by Queen's students). The crowd is typically 25+. The food options are delicious and the martinis, as others have mentioned, are divine! Try the cucumber cosmo--a personal (and creative) favorite. They also have a few beer options on tap for those thirsty for some brew. The two (big) tables at the front are perfect for large-ish groups.
Ian, the owner, is an excellent host and the staff are more than accommodating. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike.Listed in: Top Restaurants

Review from Madelaine D.

This place serves delicious tapas and has a perfect atmosphere for a trendy Saturday night with friends or a date.
Make reservations. We showed up at 5:30 on a Saturday night to make reservations for later in the evening and they BARELY squeezed us in with the only available time left being 8:30pm.
The restaurant is set up so that all the tables are up against a wall so you never get that "sitting in the middle of the restaurant" feel. Most tables have bench seating on one side and a big low hanging lamp giving it that intimate feel.
We debated between dinner or tapas and decided to take the tapas approach (pronounced Tap-es, not Tap Ass...learned that one the hard way).
The 6 different plates we chose were delicious, ranging from a very standard chicken satay in peanut sauce to dark chocolate and brie wrapped together in a phyllo pastry (surprisingly, YUM!). I should mention the scallops were some of the most tender and succulent anyone at the table had ever had.
The restaurant uses primarily local produce so you can feel socially responsible eating here. It also means everything tastes really fresh.
My one big complaint was the bottle of red wine we ordered left something to be desired. (Light in both colour and flavour) but you can hardly judge a restaurant because we ordered a bad bottle of wine.
Queens students, take note. The table beside us ordered sweet potato fries and although I can't speak for the flavour, it was the biggest portion I have ever seen of sweet potato fries.
They also have a promotion on right now where you get a glass of wine, or a beer and a tapas plate for $9.99. Perfect for cheap night.
Over all I would definitely recommend this place.Listed in: Kingston

One of my favourite places in Kingston.
Dress up and head over to Tango!
Very nice, calm and warm atmosphere. Delicious tapas menu!
Hosted a friend's Birthday party here. Staff were very nice and service was outstanding!
Whether it's dinner or just drinks, go Tango! -
Review from Jonathan W.

I'm partial to this place for several reasons. Decent tapas-style menu with sweet potato fries being excellent late at night. Creative martini menu and one of the few "dressier" late night locations in downtown Kingston. The best place in Kingston if you want to dress up a bit, grab drinks and chat with your friends.
