Have been to the other location in New West awhile back, this is their second location. First off, the food, servers and atmosphere is great. The only gripes I have are:
1. When I first went, portions were actually too large, then each time I went back, the portions got smaller. Unfortunately, this afternoon I was there and the portions are much smaller than before and yet the pricing has stayed the same. This is why I have given it three stars. The price/quantity/quality ratio is off.
2. Their Roti is too sweet. Haha, but that is just a personal preference.
Although this is still cheaper and better than places like Tropicana and Banana Leaf -

My wife and I recently discovered Tamarind Hill and have been 3 times in the past month. I guess that means we like it a lot! Service is really warm, efficient, and friendly. They make the best Malaysian noodle dishes that I've had in Vancouver. The Mee Goreng is my favourite and the Char Kuey Teow is a close second. The roti is very good too. And they have a variety of desserts. The only thing I've had on the menu that I wasn't a fan of is their coconut rice. It didn't smell or taste coconutty and I was pretty disappointed. However, that is obviously not enough to stop me from returning on a regular basis. I really love Tamarind Hill!
