Review from Sarah O.
Takaya is where I come to perfect my swing. I'm no golfer by any means, but I had a father who used to teach the sport so I have clubs laying around. Besides, the driving range is a pretty fun place to go. Have you never been?
Takaya is just alright. It gets the job done. If you go mid-day, there is a bit of a discount and it is usually pretty empty. It is two-tiered and has the standard yard markings on the field. The mats are pretty clean but many are missing a tee.
The parking is free. The workers are unenthusiastic, but nice. -

This Mount Seymour-area driving range is definitely the best in the District of North Vancouver -- but that's not saying much.
The prices area great ($6.50 for 90 balls) but the mats can be hit and miss, the service is generally rendered by unenthusiastic teens, and their chipping and putting surface is too fast. The two greens have an artificial surface that doesn't emulate turf at all.
If you've got time to drive over to Eaglequest in Coquitlam, I'd definitely recommend it. -

TAKaya Golf Center, is located on the MT. Seymour Parkway. The Center is pretty good, if all your going for is to hit some balls. The targets are pretty ordinary and the yard markers are about the same. When I want to practice and play some golf, I'm interested in all aspects of the game, but it seems to be common place, on the North Shore, that pitching and putting are grossly overlooked. Although the two teared driving range is nice, the turf lined pitch and put equals pitching and putting onto ash-vault ;( The price is right but the quality just isn't there! Sorry TAKaya?
