I used to frequent their old location on Broadway, and I am happy to say the food remains as excellent as ever at their new location.
The new location is inviting and tastefully decorated, with materials and serving vessels imported straight form India. I love the open-concept kitchen. The service, as a family-owned business, is second-to-none.
If you are looking for top-of-the-line, homemade indian food, look no further. My favourite dishes are the samosas and the Palek with lamb (they also make this with beef or chicken). They also have a thoughtfully chosen, succinct wine list. -

Other then having trouble finding the entrance, which was around the corner off 2nd ave the rest of my time spent here was a treat. I started with a Samosa which was really good, followed by a main course with nan bread. The nan bread was really good, and compliemented the main course very well. This is a place I will have to come back to in the future and try more of the menu.

Love the atmosphere. Love the food. We tried a variety of appys and main dishes and everything was fabulous from the nan to the dhal to lamb korma. I would highly recommend everyone try the taj!
