In the world of fast Mexican food there has been only one option in Canada for too long. I really like my Mexican food, but what the "bell" serves is no more Mexican food than Salisbury steak is well, food. I am pleased to say that there is a new cat in town and he came straight from south of the border. Taco Villa is not a gourmet experience, you rarely can get a gourmet experience in a mall food court. Taco Villa is however one of the first good Mexican fast food restaurants. They have a wide menu, but I usually go for the vegetarian burrito, it has cilantro rice, black beans and corn and it sauced with pico de gallo and sour cream. Because it's vegetarian I like to pretend that it's healthy. I would recommend Taco Villa to someone who has an unexplainable craving for cheap fast Mexican food, and who thinks their only choice is Taco Bell.
