Stopped in here for lunch today because I happened to be in the downtown area and craving a big fat burrito so I thought I would give taco del mar a try. The mall wasn't very busy which it never usually is anyways and there wasn't many people there and no one in line so I guess the service was good, lol.
Anyways I ordered a mondo burrito with pork and I thought that it was very under seasoned, the rice was also a bit crunchy which was kinda gross, the black beans weren't the best either the only highlight was probably the fresh pico. Oh and for being a "mondo burrito" it wasn't very big, I mean when I get a burrito from chipotle I can barely finish the whole thing but from here I finished the whole thing and was still hungry for more, lol.
Taco del mar trys in so many ways to be as good as chipotle but falls oh so short in so many more. Until the day we get a chipotle here in London I guess this is where I will have to fulfill my burrito cravings, all in all in it's not that bad but definatly no chipotle. In ending this review please someone bring a chipotle franchise to London!
