My friend T and I got together and decided to venture to T&T. It was my first time going so I had no idea what to expect. On the ride over, I was informed I may be overwhelmed because of the mass selection to choose from. Boy, was T ever right!

When we got inside, I was shocked at how busy it was in every sense of the word. The sights, sounds, and all of the people! Besides Costco, this is the first time I've felt so crammed inside a grocery store.

The first thing I noticed was the assortment of sushi. I am a fan of sushi and often unimpressed by most store bought sushi. At T&T the range was vast, I spent a few minutes checking out the different trays and platters that could be purchased for a fantastic price.

Next, onto the hot foods. It was the first oriental hot foods I have seen before showcasing both meats and treats. T ended up buying some sweet bread which we munched on afterwards.

The bakery looked amazing. The chocolate, fruit, cakes, and pastries of all sorts. I am curious to know if the the "Egg tart" was made the same way as the Portuguese "Pasteis de Natas". I immediately thought of the colonization of Macau and how the Portuguese had been there for centuries. Even today, if you visit Macau, one will notice how architecture and cuisine is Portuguese influenced.

We had a lot of fun going through the isles comparing and price matching with other stores. Needless to say some products are more expensive but others are far cheaper. Hot sauces, noodles, and frozen seafood were all bargains.

The seafood section was my personal favourite and would be a treat for any seafood lover. Even if you don't like seafood it's still really interesting to walk through and look at what they offer. I would go back here to buy seafood any day!

The one really interesting "find" was the blue chicken "Silkie". I am curious of its taste and would consider biting into it someday. When I came home and looked at pictures on the Internet it looked much different with feathers.

I think that we were lucky to have found a parking spot. When we were leaving, there was a car sitting there ready to take our spot. On the way out, there were nearly four collisions in the parking lot, so please be leery! Keep an eye out because others aren't looking.

The people were friendly, the selection of food was grand, the cleanliness was superb, not to mention, samples on the end of every isle! I would definitely go back in a heart beat.

This supermarket is a treat for us westerners and one could easily spend hours roaming around. The next time I plan on cooking an Asian meal, this will be my first stop for ingredients.

In my books, I'd give it a well deserved 5/5.

The T & T shopping experience is always a pleasant one. A variety of Asian products, fresh and cheap produce, yummy bakery and stellar prepared food section - you really can not complain. To top it all off, T &T is clean and brightly lit!

My only issue is the parking lot is a zoo at time and can be a pain to park. I usually avoid shopping on busy times (ie. weekends) just so I can avoid my lapse of road rage.

T & T is your place for your Asian and non-asian grocery shopping needs!

Cheap veggies, plenty of low GI food choices, plus a bunch of fresh baked asian breads and desserts... YUM! We can never leave without grabbing something new to try and sample. Kevin, of Kevin's Ricecakes, is often in, working his rice popping machine. Stop by for a free sample and I guarantee you'll want to leave with a bag... then return the next day for more! How many stores can you fill 4 shopping bags full of groceries and pay under $25? Bonus: No charge for plastic bags, which is great when you forget to bring enough re-usable ones!

Try the Utane Bread... I love the coconut!

I still rave to my boyfriend, who's American, about this place... it is the absolute best place for East Asian groceries, with good prices compared to the major Western-oriented supermarkets!

The incredible array of fresh ready-made foods makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

Hmm.... time for a trip to Canada...

This is a great supermarket to get fresh produce and food. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the items are always fresh. There is always fresh bakery, dim sum and sushi. The atmosphere is great and the supermarket is very clean. Also, Grocery bags are free (great for people like me). I recommend this to anyone who needs to buy groceries.

Best place for East Asian groceries. I usually bought most of my sauces and asian groceries from Loblaw Superstore before I discovered this gem, and the major plus is that it is so much cheaper. This is a colossus of an ethnic grocery store, it is huge and clean. You walk in and are greeted by a vast selection of ready made sushi and other prepared foods. It also has an area of prepared food, which you can get and sit and eat on the tables in the front. They have a vast selection of everything, I have never seen that many types of tofu in my life! Fruits and vegetables are cheaper here too and this is the closest grocery store (walking distance for most people living in the city centre condos, especially on Webb dr.) Definitely, come and explore this grocery store.
