I was introduced to cookies from Swirls Bakeshop a few years ago at work during Christmas time. I always receive a large silver tin can of Swirls "for goodness sake" cookies each year from my other department at work as a thank you gesture during Christmas time. One might assume that cookies in a tin can are some of the worst you'll get because they're usually not fresh tasting and hard. Well, I was shocked by the freshness, soft texture, and tasty flavours of the cookies. The cookies are pure premium gourmet even though there is nothing printed on the can which brags about the quality cookies. When I first saw the can, everyone at my workplace thought the cookies were homemade! Just a simple large, silver, plain tin can with the Swirls sticker on the top. In the tin can, there are various shortbread, gingerbread, chocolate, raisin and fruit and others types of cookies. Sorry, I don't remember all of the types. The cookies are quite large and thick and they're not like Danish cookies size tin can types. If you eat 2 to 3 cookies, you will be quite satisfied if you're fairly hungry for some snacks. Hands down, these are some of the best cookies I've ever tasted from a can or a package ever. How is it accomplished? It's due to the fact they're freshly baked at UBC's Swirls Bakeshop. In addition, UBC students are hard to fool when it comes to taste, they're from all over Canada, U.S, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world, and they know what taste good and what doesn't taste good.
A+ for quality and taste for some tin can packaged cookies and they're packaged in a stylish silver tin can too! Although, I doubt these cookies are healthy and even though they're probably full of butter, sugar, and other fats, but for a once a year treat, they're worth it! -

I love Swirls Bakeshop! You can usually find their products around holiday around UBC Food Service outlets. But they have amazing sugar cookies, especially the ones dipped in white and dark chocolate!
