Amazing place filled with all types of goodies. Located in the downtown section of the Elmwood strip, this place does not disappoint. Staff is friendly. Prices are acceptable.
Pretty much any baked item they have is pretty good. German chocolate cake highlights all of its ingredients. Double fudge torte is super rich. It is a must stop for all dessert lovers in the area. -

It seems silly to review a place that's already closed, but I feel like I owe it to them since they were so good.
Yes, in case you didn't know, Sweet Tooth officially closed its doors on January 7, 2012. It's very sad indeed, but the reason seems to be because of family reasons and not so much the economy.
However, I'm still sad. Sure, there are plenty of other places to get your sweet tooth fix in Buffalo. There is Fowler's and Watson's on Elmwood that both serve ice cream. There is Five Point Bakery on the Westside that has excellent cinnamon rolls and brownies. And if you want cheesecake there is of course, Say Cheesecake in Amherst, while although a trek, has some of the best mouthwatering cheesecake you can possibly get. For a little bit closer there is the Lexington Co-op, but the co-op just doesn't have the sheer variety of sweets that Sweet Tooth had to offer with its cakes, and cookies, and cheesecakes, and ice cream sandwiches, it really was the best.
I suppose there is always Wegman's because they have many desserts to choose from in their bakery, and they always look and taste amazing, but it just doesn't have the same feel to get your bakery in a supermarket as it does from a sit-in ice cream fountain type place.
Ahh...C'est la vie.
We will miss you, Sweet Tooth. We're sorry to see you go. Let this Yelp review be a final farewell. But the memories you have given the residents of Buffalo for your awesome business will go on in their hearts. -

I went there at random yesterday afternoon. I stopped in with my date and we had something sweet and a drink.
The service was really friendly and great. She explained the cake flavorings, and the desserts to us without any sort of "duh" attitude.
I ordered a mochaccino and a slice of coffee cake while my date had an Italian soda and a Canolli (do you think he's Italian...hint hint yes). We ate it inside, to take it all in. My mochaccino was very chocolatey and had no hint of espresso in it, but the coffee cake was superb. My date enjoyed the cannoli and the Italian soda. I had some of the soda too, and I liked it. Shortly after, the worker told me she forgot to put the espresso in my drink (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars). She offered to make another one, but I told her I'd rather just drink the espresso straight. As an espresso fiend, I thought it tasted just alright. I've had much, much better espresso, but I've also had worse (also part of the missing star).
Overall, this is my new candy/sweets store in Buffalo. It's not the best bakery, bakerywise, but it'd be hard to pass up. -

Staff super friendly - they'll let you try anything. First time I had seen chocolate covered potato chips. They serve Perry's Ice Cream (local). They got something for everyone.

I am in Boston, MA and I just wanted to write somewhere that this place is wonderful! I asked for cookies to be delivered to someone in Buffalo and Dan- who is amazing- arranged for it with me over the phone. They were great to work with and definitely made my day (and the recipient of the cookies' day as well!). Would definitely recommend. :)

Yum.
Walking across a partially flooded intersection during a light snow to get some lunch...I had no idea that located right across the street was one of the world's most amazing sweet stores ever.
Well maybe not the WORLD'S most amazing, but at the time that's how it felt.
When my sweet-spotting-trained-eagle-eye swept over Sweet Tooth, alarm bells went off. One of my companions said that 'they sell candy and ice cream and stuff'. The stuff is the part that really intrigued me.
After lunch we headed over. I didn't care that my shoes were splashing into foot deep puddles, and that icy water was creeping up my pant leg. I was on a mission crossing that street. My companions were awed...well more like slightly scared by the crazy gleam in my eye.
This place is CUTE. What does it have? Gosh what doesn't it? Seriously. They have ice cream so you can get scoops, sundaes, whatever. They make their own sponge candy, which apparently is some NY delicacy candy thing that I had to try...imagine cotton candy carmelized to harden slightly, cut into squares, then covered in milk or dark chocolate. They have the yummiest cupcakes, even mini cupcakes, and VEGAN to boot. Who knew.
They have breakfast pastry goodies, a few cookie options and then there are the CAKES. Carrot, double chocolate, german...and the score of my week: peanut butter cheesecake. Oh yeah...it was as good as it sounds...with a crushed oreo cookie crust.
Little mini desserts. I figured that the chocolate mousse cup wouldn't travel well, but it broke my heart to leave it behind. Raspberry mini tarts. Massive handmade truffles with descriptive flavors like Mexican Chocolate. A bunch of other things my twitching eye couldn't be bothered to settle on.
We took home a bunch of things. The carrot cake and the PB cheesecake were the clear winners, but the cookies and mini cuppies were no slouch either. It's probably good that we were just visiting, because my waistline couldn't take close proximity to this place for very long. -

I learn new and exciting things every day. Take, for instance, the fact that Buffalo, New York is known as the "centre of the sponge candy universe"** or for starters, what the hell sponge candy even is. It's not spongy and it's not even candy - go figure.
In the UK it's known as "honeycomb toffee", "yellow man" in Northern Ireland, "sea foam" in Michigan, Oregon and California, "fairy food candy" in Wisconsin and "hokey pokey" in New Zealand. But it's mostly found in mass quantities in Buffalo, and specifically, at Sweet Tooth, where you can buy 8 sponge candies for $4.
The texture of sponge candy is unusual in that it's crisp at first and then melts away in your mouth. It's enrobed in chocolate (milk or dark) and it'll remind you of a Crunchie bar (whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you).
On a Saturday night there were many people buying sponge candy and other confectionaries at Sweet Tooth - the ice cream looked maddeningly good (the dark chocolate was nearly black with semi-sweetness) and there were all sorts of cookies and small cakes to go.

Near-perfect dessert shop in the heart of Allentown.
I'd driven by Sweet Tooth hundreds of times, but finally went there last night while on an evening stroll.
As my nickname indicates... i get pretty excited around sweets, goodies, etc., and this place has it all... candy, chocolates, ice cream, cakes, pies, pastries, coffees, shakes, brownies, you name it.
It has an old-timey candy store feel to it inside, and the service is friendly.
Some of the prices are a bit high (protein shakes were around $7), but sometimes homemade quality is worth it.
If you're in the neighborhood, stop in for a treat. -

I didn't get to sit and enjoy the bakery but I did buy a slice of lemon cheesecake to go. The place is pretty cute. They have ice cream, cakes, cookies, etc. The ice cream sandwiches looked really good!
Definitely check it out if you visit Buffalo. -

A Buffalo NY favorite as per Google... It didn't disappoint. All of the pastries and baked goods are made in the shop and the ice-cream is from a local Buffalo producer. I recommend this little shop!

Just discovered this place today. Got a neapolian which was perfect. The middle part was light and creamy rich and fluffy while the top was had a nice dense thick layer of white chocolate over the layer of fluffy pastery. My girl got a slice of the peanut butter gnoch cake. I think i'm in love.

Went to Sweet tooth with my daughter. It is small but personable. The staff was nice. My daughter watch the bakers decorate a cake in back while they was making our order. Every thing looked so good. It was displayed wonderfully also. It just made you feel happy just walking in the door. It was early in the day so we had something small. I had the lemon squares, it was to die for. and my daughter had a few chocolate covered potato chips. they were good also. We ate there and it was very nice. It is nice when you go somewhere and the dessert is not only pretty but it taste good also!

Meh. I liked this place a lot better before it moved all the way down to Elmwood and Allen. Now I think it's kind of gross.

I'm pretty much obsessed with desserts. I would much rather eat dessert than real food any day. I could probably eat Sweet Tooth every day and die happy. I went there today, and, as usual, the cake that I had was fabulous. It was the most decadent piece of chocolate cake with thick, rich chocolate frosting. Mmmm. And, because I'm a piggy, I also split a smiley face cookie with the friend I was with. Again, divine. They have all kinds of cakes (today's were two kinds of chocolate cake, strawberry, coconut, german chocolate, and pumpkin), tortes, bars, cookies, ice cream, and candy. Their coffee, which I didn't have today but have had in the past, is also quite good. Go there and get your saturated fat on!!

Their cakes are like few others. Chocolates. Ice cream and desserts of all kinds. Not a big place, but fun for feeding that sweet tooth, every time. :)

I love their cakes. They are definitely heavy and sweet, but I have to say they are addictive. The price is reasonable, I like their lemon pound cake. There are seats in the shop, but not fancy or anything. You can also eat ice cream. I used to go there a lot before it moved to Allen town.
