I highly recommend Elise to anyone who needs wedding stationary. In fact, I did recommend her to a friend of mine, and 4 weeks after I sent my wedding invitation, I received an invitation from her that I recognized as one of Elise's designs! She is professional, prompt, always nice and was always patient with me when I wanted changes. Her designs are beautiful and elegant, yet modern. I had to upgrade my paper to do her graphics justice! I can't wait for everyone to see the rest of the stationary at my wedding.

My fiancé is in computer graphics so perfection was the aim when I was looking around for someone polished to work on our wedding invitation.
Elise was able to customize the invitation by using my own water color painting to design our wedding invitation. She is absolutely amazing to work with and her flawless attention to detail with an eye for perfection was just what I needed. On top of that, her price is much more reasonable than other options I have explored.
The biggest reason why she is so great is because she takes the time to figure out what your style is and incorporate it perfectly into the design and layout. She provides suggestions that aligns with your style. That's something you don't see everyday! It's not just about getting ink on paper and make it look good, it's about matching the right design with the personality of the client. And that is the reason she gets a 5 star from me!
When the final product arrived at my door step, I was amazed at the print quality and couldn't believe how beautiful it looked! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great designer to help with whatever project you have in mind. You will thank her millions of times just like I did! -

I highly recommend Sweet Penelope for any invitation. Elise just finished our wedding invitation suite and it's stunning. She's patient, meticulous and is easy to work with. Our ultimate product was letterpressed and we couldn't be happier.

How do I convey how wonderful it is to work with Elise when there are not enough superlatives in the English language to do so?
My fiance and I wanted to find an invitation that was simple, creative, and affordable. We spent some time going to the usual card shops, but most invitations were overly cutesy, uninspired, and/or simply hideous manifestations of bridezilla vanity. Luckily, we found Elise through yelp and were instantly smitten by her simple and elegant design sense. Elise also brought to the table a broad knowledge of papers, printing methods, eco-friendly materials, and an extremely helpful, can-do attitude. Thanks to Elise, the invitations we ended up with were exactly what we were looking for. We confidently recommend Elise (a.k.a Sweet Penelope) to anyone. -

Just had Sweet Penelope do all of the "paper products" (menus, table cards, placecards etc...)associated with my wedding and could not have been more thrilled.
Every detail-- large and small attended to. Every deadline met (ahead of time) and all with incredible creativity, precision, and with a smile.
Very reachable both by phone or email and all of our expectations were met and far exceeded at every step of the way (and, unlike the rest of my wedding...on budget!)
Elise is so charming and easy to work with. I could not give high enough accolades to describe her work.
Plus, all of this incredible service comes at prices that are actually LESS than her competitors...how she does this I don't know.
With all of the 5 star YELPING can I be wrong as well?? I think not. Save your money and time and just go to Elise at Sweet Penelope... you will be in the best of hands. -

Elise of Sweet Penelope was wonderful to work with. Her designs are simple yet elegant, and great for folks on a bit of a budget like us. She was also very accommodating as when putting together a wedding on such short notice sometimes things change day to day, sometimes hour to hour. On one particular day we must have been on the phone with her 3-4 times in the span of an hour and she was always gracious, and helpful, providing tremendous guidance on the colors and fonts we would be using. And since sending them out last week we've received nothing but praise from our guests.
I would recommend Sweet Penelope in a heartbeat... Thank again Elise, for all your help and getting our special day off to a great start. -

I was in charge of the DJ and the alcohol. My then-fiance (now-wife) was in charge of everything else.
Luckily she has great taste. Although I could honestly not care less about things like floral arrangements and tablecloths, I was a bit worried about the invitation situation. This was something that would be going out to all of our friends and family and I didn't want it to be too cheesy (like many of the invitations I've received over the years). Amazingly, she found something at Sweet Penelope that was the perfect balance for us - it had the colors and feel that she was going for and didn't embarrass me in the least. To be honest, there were actually a number of invitations at Sweet Penelope that I would have been happy with but the one we ended up choosing (Ginger, look it up) was the perfect design for us (and we poured through a ton from many different vendors).
The template we got from Sweet Penelope was well put together and simple to use, and printing at home was a breeze. And the best part was that they were much less expensive than a lot of the other invitations we had seen. With the money we saved on the invitations, I was able to book the DJ for a few more hours which my drunken aunts and uncles really seemed to appreciate.
If I ever end up getting married again (which, fortunately, doesn't seem likely), I'd definitely go back to Sweet Penelope for the invites. -

I am a wedding professional, and I scour the options for my brides so I know exactly what is out there in the invitation/paper design world.
Sweet Penelope was is far the most affordable high-end designer on the market. There are other companies that offer what she does, but charge more and don't offer free updates to your design like she does.
I am getting married this year and hired her for our invites. I love them - they look so professional and we saved a ton of money on this. I would recommend her to everyone! -

Everything about Sweet Penelope is top notch.
The designs are absolutely beautiful. They are elegant yet personable. Creating artwork like this is very difficult and Elise absolutely nailed it.
The service was great. The process of ordering artwork from the Sweet Penelope site was so straightforward and comprehensive that it almost made me nervous that I was missing something. I emailed Elise directly afterward and she got back to me immediately. I have never experiences such great communication from a company before. She has been accommodating on all my requests and it really felt that she had a personal stake in how my Invitations looked in the long run.
I did a ton of research before finding Sweet Penelope and I can honestly say that no other service/solution even comes close. -

I completely owe the success of my wedding invitations to Elise. She's a talented, patient, sweet woman that went above and beyond to make my custom invitations exactly what I wanted.
I fell behind on wedding planning and Elise came to the rescue. I wanted to have a DIY invitation, but soon realized I needed a professional to help put my ideas onto paper. She made every piece exactly how I envisioned and even tackled some challenging language inserts.
I just sent the invitations out and I've already been receiving compliments. Elise was truly a pleasure to work with. I would give Sweet Penelope 10 stars if I could.

It's about time I professed my appreciation and admiration for Elise Ho's great work. She is a perfectionist that delivers. I don't often have the privilege of working with such dedicated and professional people at my own work that I'm blown away when a vendor (wedding, no less) who chargeed $120 for all my wedding invite stuff. She did everything for that price and she helped me incorporate a sketch my father gave me for the wedding invites. She just went above and beyond expectations and she made sure I was aware of all the details and caveats before I committed and paid. Agree with all the other reviewers - Elise is top notch, flexible and very patient. Thank you again! We are still going to print them but so far I am extremely pleased.

Elise is AMAZING. I repeat....Elise is AMAZING. I sent her a file of an image that I wanted to use as a logo for all of my wedding invitations, reply cards and thank you cards, and she created beautiful and unique invitations for our special day. She was wonderful to work with, very patient with me, (i'm on the not so creative, yet indecisive side) and she was also super flexible when we changed our wedding date and my timeline became shorter, creating a bit of a rush order. She printed our invitations on wonderful cotton paper and everything was really reasonably priced. My invitations arrived today and I really couldn't be happier with the process and results. I can't wait to use her services again for invitations or announcements.

Sweet Penelope was the easiest part of wedding planning!
Elise designed and printed my beautiful and useful invitations in a timely fashion.
What a great combination of skills, pleasantly shared! She is knowledgeable and helpful about the "traditional" texts and customs. At the same time, she is particularly talented at helping you customize and personalize every detail. I hadn't thought much about invitations before, but these really prepare guests for the spirit of the gathering. Elise listens well to discover and articulate what we really want, so we picked the most fitting design from her diverse and pretty portfolio, as well as a font that reflects the right level of formality. I trust her aesthetic sense completely. She had classy ideas on how to accommodate my desire for minimal waste. She is highly detail-oriented too, gently noting potential faux-pas and double-checking everything from direction accuracy to dimpled paper. The final product was way better than I could have imagined (who would have thought a map could look elegant and romantic?!).
Sweet Penelope meets deadlines with seeming effortlessness, even with my unavoidable last-minute additions and the caterer's moving up the RSVP date by two months! Elise is also refreshingly careful about artistic integrity. She was really there for us. Don't know how she does it all for such a reasonable price! -

Kind of amazing. I ordered all my wedding invites, save the dates, thank you's, etc. from Sweet Penelope and was SO glad I did. Elise is so friendly, responsive and easy to work with, and the invitations were beautiful. (Everyone complimented on how nice they looked.) Elise always shipped the orders on time (sometimes even before the deadline) and was very helpful with giving design advice with regards to size, placement, etc. Also, SP is extremely reasonably priced compared with what else is out there. Highly recommended!

It's true, Elise is amazing. It's like working with a wickedly creative little angel. She made our wedding invites and worked with me till we got the colors just as I had envisaged. Her tolerance for knit-pickiness is very high. She also printed them, sent me sample envelopes and everything came out great. I love her business model and the way she's making it happen. Five stars doesn't even begin to describe the awesomeness that is Elise Ho of Sweet Penelope. She is an absolute dream to work with. I openly admit that I can be a tough client (I'm VERY picky when it comes to details), and she's incredibly patient, no matter how many changes you make. She did our save the date cards for the wedding, and we were thrilled with the results! She's very open to customizing her stock designs to suit clients' needs and super responsive to any questions/edits you may have. The pricing was also very reasonable, and she got them done early, even though she was uber busy. We've also begun working with her on custom wedding invitations - she is so thorough in terms of researching ideas and holds herself to a very high standard. (When she thought a mock-up for a design wasn't very good, we were absolutely blown away by it!) I can't wait to continue collaborating with her on our designs. Working with her on invitations for any type of event is an absolute must - Elise is the best.

I've been stressing out about wedding invitations for the past couple of months. I had wanted to make my own invitations since the invitations I've seen were either 1) expensive 2) cheesy 3) did not fit with the theme of the wedding. After trying that out for a month, I decided to scrap that idea and started researching other options. I found Sweet Penelope through Yelp, read the review,s and checked out the webiste. It really is as simple as everyone describes it- choose a template, figure out the colors & wording, they'll send you the template as PDF File, and print out as many invites as you want. I got my invitation & RSVP (only $65) within 4 business days and extremely happy with the results. Elise was the person I worked with and she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions & gave me tips on how to print it, paper choices, and local paper stores to check out. I HIGHLY recommend them- I even opened a Yelp acct so I can writte this review!

Elise (owner of Sweet Penelope) is amazing. I had her do our invites and not only did she do a beautiful job, but she was professional, meticulous, and patient throughout the process. She spent way more time than she needed to working with me - so much so that I asked if I could pay her more than her quoted price. How amazing that I would walk away feeling that way in this world of overpriced wedding goods. Bottom line: I don't see why you wouldn't use her. I would recommend her to anyone.
