We did a considerable amount of research online for dog walking companies in Vancouver, before deciding to try Sweet Pea and Me. Sara had great reviews, affordable prices, and the adventure hikes, which was exactly what we were looking for!
Our dog, Maggie, is a border collie who needs more exercise than we can always provide during the work week. This was the first time we would be sending her off with someone new, and we were a wee bit anxious given Maggie is a rescue has had separation and anxiety issues in the past. We were very quickly reassured, however, after just a couple of walks. Maggie is always very excited when Sara comes and is always tuckered out and happy when she comes back (we joke that she's dissapointed when we walk through the door since we're not Sara).
The thing that we appreciate the most about Sweet Pea and Me (besides Maggie coming home tired) is Sara's excellent customer service, with a fine attention to detail, which she consistently exemplifies in many ways: she spent time making a tailored package for our needs and budget, giving us different quotes; she promptly returns our emails; she brings homemade treats and washes the dogs down after walks; and she often posts photos to facebook so we can see our dog having fun (our favourite part). We couldn't be more pleased with our decision to go with Sweet Pea and Me, and we would definitely recommend Sara to others! -

We found out about Sweet Pea and Me though Ethical Deal and used their services for our beloved labrador retriever, Lucky. We were absolutely delighted with Sweet Pea and Me, and so was Lucky!
Dog-walker extraordinaire Sara Bartlett is one of the most dedicated, professional business owners we've ever met. She picked up Lucky during our long work days, took her to the beach for a swim, and returned her tired, happy and smelling like mangoes (she cleans the dogs after their swims with special grooming spray). Since Lucky is an older dog, Sara was very sensitive to her needs, and made sure that she rested when she got tired.
Lucky seemed to really like Sara, and we felt comfortable leaving her in Sara's capable hands since she has a pet first aid certificate and is bonded and insured.
For us humans, Sweet Pea and Me is a pleasure to deal with. All of our phone calls, emails, appointment requests and text messages were answered promptly. Sara sent us frequent texts and photos during her walks, notifying us of when Lucky was picked up, when she was returned, and how she was doing. Not only that, but every day after her walk, Sara left a cute little paper bag filled with a different flavour of truly home-made, organic dog cookies which Lucky thought were delicious.
I would recommend Sweet Pea and Me without hesitation to anyone who has a special dog in their lives!

We believe that all dogs of different size and breed should be able to live complete happy dog lives. By providing fun, versatile and affordable services we hope to have every dog out and walking!
Meet the Business Owner: Sara B.
Dog's have always been apart of my life, since my very first dog when I was young, Sweet Pea (pictured above.) This was my inpiration behind the name, "Sweet Pea & Me". Now, many years later, I've decided to turn my passion and love of dogs into my job.
Keeping my own dogs fit, socialized, healthy and happy is something I wanted every dog to be able to have too. Starting Sweet Pea & Me gives me the opportunity to do so right here in my own backyard.
I really believe that knowledge is power and that what we do is contributing to healthy happy pets. They give so much to us, so why not give back what we can to them. Even if that means a walk or walks during the week to get out, exercise and socalize. I know your pet will thank you for it.
