Sweet Gallery is somewhat of a hidden gem on Mt. Pleasant with a steady following of veteran customers. The pastry shop itself has a mixed atmosphere of a 60s American diner and an old world pastry shop!
The Serbian owner has a pretty serious and professional demeanor, but is actually appreciative of repeat customers! The serious side is also apparent in the attention paid to details in custom orders (which are on the pricey side, but highly recommended for formal events)

As for the pastries, there is always a large variety of tantalizing cakes, tarts, flans, mousses, pies, cookies,... on display, and I often have a difficult time choosing a treat!
From what I have tried so far, I can recommend the apple turnover, German chocolate cake, mousses, and plum tart/pie!

If you're in the area, or considering a place for a wedding cake, definitely give Sweet Gallery a thought.

The decoration of Sweet Gallery Exclusive Pastry has this outdated retro feel of the 70s! Nothing wrong with it as a lot of customers here on this Sunday early afternoon are more mature as this shop is located right across from a retirement home.

Here you can either have a cappuccino with a buttery cookie or a full menu of soup/salad/sandwich/European hot plates!

Croissant here is a little doughy and not as buttery and flaky. The cookies that comes with our cappuccino are crunchy and buttery good pairing with our rich and creamy cappuccino!

All those flans, cookies, cakes and anything you can think of are in the display cases and you will have a hard time to make up your mind!

Atmosphere here is more elegant with soft classical music in the background. Not surprising that Sweet Gallery is suppose to be famous for their Vienna pastries!

BTW, loves cute fondant treats in form of animals: hippo, piggy, sheep! Made of pure sugar goodness and I know who would have love some of those as treats!

I've often wondered what Continental Cuisine really meant.  After all, there are 7 Continents in this world and each of them can have the privilege to define themselves as Continental Cuisine.  For some reason, Continental Europe is the common definition when someone refers to "The Continent".  That ends today's lesson and I will take the general definition as it goes...

Sweet Gallery(Exclusive Pastry & Continental Cafe) from the outside with the Brown and Orange logo on the awnings, you would think it's a generic Pastry shop however stepping inside is truly both Continental and a Time-warp.  Actually it refers to the design of this place as well as the staff and customers, and if you see it you will understand.

There is definitely a Gallery of Sweets with European flare and you can browse the display or choose to have a seat and order off the Menu consisting of Coffee, Tea, Lunches.  How you know it's definitely European is from the Burek, Goulash, Wiener Schnitsel, Viennese Coffee.

A Butter Cookie(yum) that reminds me of a Tin of Royal Dansk as a Child was provided with the order of Cappuccino($3.50) that has foam like the Alps as we listen to concert orchestra from the speakers and Daydream watching the sky drizzle outside the window.

For some reason, the staff were very to-the-point business without much conversation or facial joy but I didn't come for a show anyways.  If you get your Daydreaming on, you'll barely notice the crowd around anyways.  Hey!  It was my first Espresso Beverage of the day, I was still dreaming.    :D
