There really is not much else to say about this place that has not already been said by past reviewers.
Choose dough, choose mix ins, wait 5 minutes, experience heaven on earth.
The store has ample seating and has a variety of preselected cookies for the less creative. Something for everyone, go there, now, and bring me back a peanut butter cookie with snickers and toffee. -

Something about DIY places that draw me like a moth to a flame - particularly when sugar and baking is involved.
Sweet Flour Bake Shop is a cute little establishment with local entertainment and willingly helpful staff.
Being able to customize your very own individual cookie is a great concept, and offering milk to accompany your indulgence is genius.
However, there had not been anything very memorable about my personalized cookie other than the fact that I had all the power when it came to the mix-in's.
It is possible that I just have not yet been enlightened to the ultimate 'OMG' cookie combination... but I think I will rather take on that experiment in the comfort of my own kitchen! -

Enticing smells permeate the shop as soon as you enter...if someone can resist the smell of freshly baked cookies, they need to get themselves checked out by an otolaryngologist (I always wanted to use that word!!! :) :)
The espresso I had was really really good. The cookie I chose - original dough, pecans, semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie - was just ok, not as good as I'd thought it would be. The coffee was decent - fair trade. They also have free wifi, quite a few outlets so you can get a couple of hours of work done. Overall though, a nice find. -

A great place for a freshly baked cookie or muffin top. Do yourself a favour though, and don't ask to see their nutrition information. Trust me when I say that you don't want to know!
Cute little shop to sit in. Good prices on individual muffin tops & cookies... a bit pricey if you're looking for large quantities. -

Great concept and environment. Pricey but unique enough to be worth it. It was a busy Saturday afternoon when we were there and the lead woman behind the counter was obviously having a bad day and taking it out on everyone. None of the guests seemed to be frustrated or in a rush with the wait but she was pretty irritated. Our cookies were more dough than baked when received but I'll give it a second go just because I'm hoping they can get it right next time and win over my cookie-loving heart!

I love this place.
As someone who never bakes, and certainly doesn't bake cookies, I love the build-a-cookie appeal of Sweet Flour.
I'm still not fully confident that I ever pick the right ingredients for maximum cookie-gasm, but I'm never outright let down by my creations.
Beyond this really fun idea for a bake-shop, there's not much else to tell. The place itself is very presentable, the location is decent, the prices aren't bad at all, the staff is friendly, and there's really not much else to say. -

Did someone in your Family offer your Baking services for a community Bake Sale?
Do your "Kids"(Yelpers) want to Bake Cookies with you?
Are you LAZY and simply wish for a Latte while you pay others to take your place in the Baking?
Sweet Flour Bake Shop is for YOU!
Get your "Kids" to line-up and pick their Cookie-base & Mix-ins($2.50) and wait in-line mesmerized by the countdown from the convection oven or the colorful rainbow colored Mix-ins while you grab a seat and enjoy your Latte in peace.
When the roughly 5-minutes of Cookie baking is done you just go up and pay while the "Kids" are quietly stuffing their pie-holes with warm yummy Cookies rather than Pie.
Don't expect the Dining area to be Crumb-free or your Seat to be Chocolate Syrup free. Also the Menu-board should be hanging over top of the counter/ingredients rather than posted at the back where customers waiting in-line have a harder time to view and make quicker decisions.
Cookie Sandwich($2.25) was a bit disappointing without the pizazz. I think this item is definitely overpriced. How would you imagine a Cookie Sandwich and was offered 2 pieces of super thin Cookie with some spread in the middle?? Get a Dozen with your President's Choice Cookie aisle.
They should charge $5+ and make the Cookie Sandwich a REAL Cookie Sandwich by anyone's definition. 2 full size DIY Cookies with Ice Cream in the middle and Toppings rolled on the side.
I can see all you "Kids"(Yelpers) really love this place. Be good Boys and Girls and someone will take you there for a sugar-high real soon.Listed in: Desserts - Western, Snackables (Non-Kraft version)

I just cannot resist any baked goods that are fresh out of the oven!
Hot to Touch, Soft and chewy inside and Smell like a little piece of heaven!
It is not a simple task of picking a combination of dough and mix to make your fellow yelpers that too lazy to think happy... When one said doesn't matter.. but ended up she hated peanut butter of anything!
I ended up using the pre selected cookies mix selections on the board Sweet Flour Bake Shop provide instead of inventing a combination of my own..
Dark Chocolate with More Chocolate Cookie
- Love Dark Chocolate and this is a keeper!
Peanut Butter dough with More Peanut Butter bits and Almond
- Love almonds... which give the cookie a nice crunch... it is not as peanut butter tasting as the ingredients made it sounded like.. in fact just a little hint of peanut butter
Advice:
- Though it is really tempting to just start eating the cookies right away when served.. it is so tempting as you been waiting to for it for almost 10 minute and more. Just breath and chill.. because when you wait till the cookies cool down a bit, you will find it taste so much better!!
- Don't order the Cookie Sandwich! It is a waste of both your money and your calories!
I will definitely be getting another one of those cookies when I am in the neighbourhood next time! And I am not surprise if you going to find a Sweet Flour Bake Shop franchise store in your area really soon... -

I live near Don Mills Station.
I travelled from there to Jane Station.
That is how good this place is.
Each time I ordered half a dozen cookies. ($11.55)
Almost tried them all.
The cookies are fucking amazing.
A striking variety of flavours to choose from.
Customize your own cookie too... wtf.
Think I died and went to cookie heaven, christ.
Their cookies are dense and chewy.
Bring 'em home and they'll still taste the same.
They don't harden like shitty cookies you find at No Frills. (fuck that shit)
Favorites:
White Chocolate Cranberry (w/sweet dried cranberries and a chewy texture as well as the sweetness of the dough and white chocolate...brb... searching for eating crumbs)
Almond Toffee Milk Chocolate (Everything about this is just heavenly towards my tastebuds)
Only concern is that miserable lady who gave me attitude, but I forgive you since your cookies probably made you that way. -

The build your own cookie didn't seem too special. We built a cookie based on the oatmeal dough. Maybe Canadian cookies are different? I felt that there was too much flour in the dough. Really quite dry and crumbly for a fresh baked cookie.

This is the only place where muffin tops and Seinfeld references are okay with me. Such fresh, warm, gooey goodness. Pair your hot cookies/muffin tops with some equally fresh, natural froyo and experience perfection.

Custom cookies. Not kidding. Read on.
So I was wandering around in Bloor West Village today while waiting for my watch to be repaired and thought I'd take some photos of a few local businesses, which, having grown up in this neighbourhood, I thought I had pretty much memorized.
Imagine my surprise when I saw a beautiful new shop called Sweet Flour where the crusty (literally?) Bagel Stop used to be. I just had to swoop in and see what it was about.
Muffin tops (like the ones you find at Panera Bread in the U.S., but in fun flavours like white cherry chocolate), oatmeal for breakfast, and the ultimate chef d'oeuvre - the gourmet cookie OR cookie sandwich (!) as created by ME (or you).
Picture this: a make-your-own, on the spot cookie ($2.50), customized from the very dough it's based on to the mix-ins you select from a list of twenty yummy options. For the gourmet dough, choose between oatmeal, classic or peanut butter. Then add mix-ins like dark/milk/white chocolate chunks, M&Ms, butterscotch chips, sprinkles, almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, mini pretzels, raisins, dried fruit or toffee pieces.
Then watch as a cookie artiste bakes your cookie in the oven and brings it to you when it's ready two minutes later. Voila! I was in awe. For my combination I selected gourmet classic dough, dark chocolate chunks (naturally) and then opted to spread the baked lot with raspberry jam. The massive cookie was perfectly baked, soft & chewy and the addition of the jam was not a mistake - it gave the cookie the right amount of moisture and zing.
Sweet Flour has a list of the latest favourite cookie combinations on its chalk board, a suggestions box that's teeming with feedback, and a peppy staff and clientele that all seem super chuffed to be part of such a fun dessert experience.
I imagine this would be a super popular spot for a date night, an outing with young children, during lunch or spare for high school kids and pretty much anyone who loves fresh cookies. I took about a thousand photos to mark my visit!
Totally unique and lighthearted - I can't wait to go back!Listed in: The Best Places To Eat &…

"...and then this uber skinny hipster guy told me to pick any item I wanted to go in a magical custom cookie that he would bake in under 5 minutes for me... What do you mean it wasn't a dream?!"
Ladies and gentlemen I present to you genius in the form of a cookie! DIY food is honestly the way of the future and apart from DIY sushi this place takes the cake (BTW if DIY sushi actually exists I demand you tell me about it at once!)
Since I generally hate birthday cake, my friends and I planned an epic journey along Bloor West village in search of all things yummy and diabetes inducing. We ended our adventure here and I tell you it was well worth it.

As a resident of Bloor West Village, I've walked by this place a couple of times, but didn't have a cookie craving, so I hadn't been in. That all changed when a friend and I decided to go in have some tea, a cookie and a lovely catch up.
We totally enjoyed ourselves. They have a tea I fell in love with about a year ago (10,000 mysteries), and such an awesome selection of cookie stuff.
I had them make me an oatmeal cookie with dark chocolate and macadamia nuts. My friend had an oatmeal cookie with dark chocolate and peanut butter. They were both delicious. As were the various samples of other cookie permutations they had on offer.
I'll likely go back and try the muffin tops...I've been wanting to figure out how to make my own!!! -

If I could only eat one desert in the world, it would be cookies from here. This place is great to go to for any event. Come when you are catching up with a friend, when you have a kid with you, when someone is down and they need some cheering up, or just because you crave for a warm, freshly made cookie.
You start off by choosing what type of dough you want for your cookie. Then pick from a large variety of mix-ins. Sit back on their chairs and relax as they bale your cookie in the oven. When it is done, pay for it and buy a glass of organic milk to go along with it. Eat the warm cookie as you review Sweet flour on Yelp with the free WiFi they have. Leave content and satisfied.
When I went to Sweet Flour I got the peanut butter dough with raisins for the chewiness and macadamia nuts for the crunch. I also tried the dough with peanut butter pieces and white chocolate pieces. I always get a glass of the organic milk as well, so I can dip the warm cookie, and also because I need always need a drink with a cookie.
When I went to this place a little girl and her mom had come in as I waited for my cookie. When they left I overheard the little girl say, "you're the best!". Sounds like she was satisfied with her cookie.
When mine arrived I happily chomped it down, and chugged my milk. I left with a big smile, and continued my walk down Bloor West Village. -

Step #1: Select your dough (classic, oatmeal or peanut butter). Step #2: Select two mix-ins from a selection of too-many-to-count. Step #3: They easy-bake it and it's done in 2.5 minutes.
The concept of DIY cookies is GOLD but would ultimate fail if they still tasted like ass. I was worried because though the idea of this place is awesome, I didn't want that to blind me in what can potentially be a subpar cookie. Well sirs and madames, the base dough was perfect (classic mixed with my choice of white chocolate chunks and toffee bits). Truly a winning combination if I do say so myself.
Now that we've swooned over the build-your-own-cookie, let's focus on the other aspect that makes this the best bakery experience ever. Who doesn't love cookies fresh out of the freakin' oven?! For me, that idea trumps the build-your-own. Nothing beats a freshly baked cookie that's too hot to bite into* but dammit, I'm going for it!
*I'm pretty sure the staff there actually waits for the cookies to cool slightly before handing them out to their customers. Thanks staff!Listed in: If You Took Me To These…, The Great Dessert Seduction

I found @sweetflour through Twitter before it opened, so by the time it did I was salivating just waiting to get down there.
Down I went one Friday night to try these custom cookies I'd read so much about. My husband finally clued in that they weren't cookies with custom icing writing and had himself an oatmeal base with m&m's and something else that was delicious and I had oatmeal with dark chocolate and macadamia nuts.
Tried a tea, and ended up buying two cups of it, it was that good - "Beautiful Foolishness" - coconut and pomegranate.
The only thing I didn't like about my visit was that at around 9 pm on a Friday the lighting in the store was really really bright (though we didn't notice that much because we scored the awesome window seat.) So when I went home and Tweeted about it, @sweetflour sent me a msg, asking for more input. I sent them an email with my thoughts on the lighting, and to thank me they offered me a free cookie sandwich.
THAT'S customer service and using social media for good! Can't wait to go back. You should go too! -

I love this place.
It was fun, it was fast, and it was tasty.
Delicious for both kids and adults and they ask you if you want a glass of milk with you cookies! How cute is that?
My oatmeal, dark chocolate walnut cookie was awesome. My friend wanted to go back for a second cookie after we left the store.
I would drive back out to Bloor West Village in a second for some Sweet Flour Bake Shop Cookies -

Sweet Flour will blow your mind. You get to pick your dough (regular, peanut butter or oatmeal), and then your mix-ins (chocolate, sprinkles, nuts etc). It basically allows you to bake your own cookie shaped orgasm... with your choice of nuts.
I had a peanut butter with white and milk chocolate. When it came out of the oven, the cookie was soft and chewy and the chocolate was all melted and god-like. And to top it all off, the service was top-notch. -

I love Sweet Flour!
I go in about once a week with my friend and our children.
We bring some healthy snacks for the kids to eat while waiting for the cookies to bake. Never have we felt they might not appreciate the outside food which is very nice.
The coffee and expresso drinks are very good and this is coming from a bit of a coffee snob. They also have some very different and delicious teas. Of course the freshly made cookies are awesome. My fav is a house creation which is an oatmeal base with figs and pistachios.
There is a fair amount of seating.
The only reason I have not given a full star rating is because I feel like the bathroom is never very clean. -

This place is pretty rad. Yes I said rad, people don't say that enough anymore- I'm bringing it back. Singlehandedly.
You pick a cookie base, pick your add ins and presto change-o, they bake it super fast- fresh, HOT, cookie for you. The cookie bases aren't sickeningly sweet,(good call there) so that when you jam things like toffee bits or three kinds of chocolate and snickers pieces into one, it doesn't become a copious sweet pile of hot cooked goo. You can get a big glass of organic milk with it as well, homo, 2% or chocolate.
When we first walked by on a Friday night, it was packed, there was live music at the front and we decided to give it an hour or so to let the crowd thin out. The guys behind the counter were helpful and efficient. We got two cookies, two glasses of milk and it was under eleven bucks! I was expecting much more. -

I have never had a better cookie in my life. Just step up to the Sweet Flour Bake Shop counter, pick a dough, pick a couple of "mix-ins", and 2 minutes later, you have your very own custom cookie. Great, yummy idea! (If you get a chance, try one of their muffin tops too... good stuff!)
The store's ambience is absolutely wonderful: fun, current and very welcoming. I'm a big fan of their Ideal coffee, homemade granola and very friendly staff. -

Sweet Flour bakeshop is a tremendously original idea. It's a custom bakeshop in Bloor West Village that revolves primarily around the cookie. Their website lays out their philosophy best: there is nothing quite like a cookie just out of the oven. That cookie, just out of the oven, and the experience that goes along with its creation, is exactly what Sweet Flour is all about. I say 'revolves primarily around the cookie' because although your perfect cookie is their goal, they don't stop at cookies. Everything from homemade granola to muffin tops and ice cream sandwiches to gingerbread is there for you to claim and customize as your own. For me, Sweet Flour delivers the experience of one of my best-remembered childhood memories: watching cookies bake through the oven window and patiently waiting for them to cool just enough to eat.
So what exactly does it mean to 'customize' cookies? At Sweet Flour, it means you're in charge of what's getting made. It all starts by picking what you want to bake. You can choose muffin or cookie batter, and from a couple variations of either of those, but your best bet is probably the classic cookie. It's perfectly sweet with hint of vanilla and butter. From there you decide what you want in the cookie; trust me, it won't be an easy decision to make. There are tons of different treats ranging from chunks of chocolate to crunchy nuts to soft dried fruits. You get a choice of two. Then they mix it, form it, and bake it ultra fast. Your cookie is perfectly hot and baked and in your hands in about two minutes.
Sweet Flour doesn't just stop at custom cookies. They also cater parties with baked goods, bake and decorate custom cookies for events, do cookiegram deliveries, and even package their cookies into kid's loot bags.
One thing is made perfectly clear from the minute you walk in until the minute you step out the door; these people care about quality. Everything in use seems fresh and high grade. From the glass bottled locally source milk to the fair-trade coffee to those incredible cookie ingredients, all of it seems to be bought with both quality and you in mind. A rare outlook nowadays when everything seems to be about the bottom line.
The aspect about Sweet Flour I immediately noticed is that their space has expansion written all over it. I'm sure this is the only one, but the layout, decorating, even the logo, all of it made it feel strangely familiar, like I was somehow used to it. This place definitely screams franchise, and I wouldn't be shocked to eventually see one downtown, at the mall, even at the airport. While that certainly isn't a bad thing for the business, I personally felt as though it sort of takes away from the connection to my childhood feeling.
I know there are a couple more places in Toronto that do the same sort of custom cookie experience that Sweet Flour does, but I'm not sure who did it first. The only thing I can say is that I've been to Sweet Flour twice, and both times it was a pretty good experience from start to finish. However, although the cookie does come out hot, fresh, and made to order, it did cost almost 8 bucks for two of them and a glass of milk. Seems a little steep to me, but as a treat, it's nearly perfect. -

I would say one of a kind, but someone smart is going to steal this idea and make a ubiquitous franchise out of it. Until then, this place is wonderful, and this from a guy who doesn't care much for cookies. Lattes are excellent. I've yet to have a glass of organic milk with my cookie, but I imagine its brilliant. Don't ever walk past this place without going in.

I love love love love this place!!!! My sister lives in bloor west village and since she had moved here, this has become my favorite place to hit up some coffee and baked goods in the morning during my visits. My sister is an addicted regular...she visits two or more times a day. My recommendations are their seasonal pumpkin spice latte they have right now during the fall season...the LOW FAT WILD BLUEBERRY MUFFIN TOP is to DIE for....chewy and cock full of blueberries...absolutely DELICIOUS!!! mmmmmmmmm

My sister and I were in the area to go to the coffee tree but left upon arrival. so we kept walking down Bloor Street and were excited when we saw the store front of Sweet Flour, it was so cute. We just walked in expecting to get a coffee and some sweets but were amazed when we saw the concept of the bakery. It is a cookie customizing bakery. You pick your dough and 2 add ins. The dough options are original, oatmeal, and peanut butter. The add-ins list is quite extensive from chocolate to nuts to dried fruit. We had the original with dried cherries and dark chocolate. But the real winner was Peanut butter dough with peanut butter chips and pecans.
The concept of this place is original to Toronto, but i was in Greenwich village, NYC two years ago and they have a place Milk and Honey and they are doing the same thing. but congrats to bringing it to Toronto. -

I have visited sweet flour too much lately. It is my bloor west village cryptonite. My first review was 4 stars, but my experiences here since have made me want to up the ante. The coffee from I-Deal is now our go-to at-home french-press bean. Buying the beans from Sweet Flour also means we get to eat cookies. The wonderful cookies. They now have an online store where you can mail cookies to your cross-country friends and family. Top notch, Sweet Flour.

Super cute concept and shop. The store is such a great idea and I really think this shop will do well.
The doughs and mix ins are really really good and the staff was helpful in recommending what they liked together. We had a mix of the fresh muffin cups and cookies..awesome start to my birthday gluttony trail.
You should check out their website as they have lots of great gift ideas. -

Ok.
I love this place.
I've been here 3 times in 3 days.
I'm not going to reiterate the process of making our own custom cookie (my fellow yelpers have done a fantastic job already... no need to fix what's not broken ^^).
But I will echo that their baked goods are... heavenly. Their frozen yogurts are... yougurty. Their fresh toppings are... FRESH!
I bake. A lot. And I'm usually incredibly critical of store-bought cookies and cakes. I always feel that at home, you can be sure you have the best of all ingredients. Luckily for SFBS, I believe they're products are worthy of the "home-made" title (the BEST title available for baked goods I'd say). I watched one of the worker's chop up some Snickers bars for mix-ins.
There's also the option of getting a delish frozen yogurt (with or without fresh fruit toppings). It's not that creamy, almost-ice-cream stuff you get at other ice cream shops. It's REAL frozen yogurt. You can TASTE the yogurtyness. And it is amazing. And the fruit... is fresh. Actually fresh. Not frozen then thawed. Not frozen then dished. Fresh. I watched as my server cut up a yummy, juicy mango to top up my frozen yogurt. Yes, I mean THAT kind of fresh.
Price wise, it's not too spendy. $2.50 for a custom cookie or muffin top. $3.25 for a large frozen yogurt sans fruits or $5.25 with 3 toppings. And it wasn't all that packed.
Oh. My fiance's parent's just got a Big Green Egg (it's hideously green). And they can now grill, smoke, and bake anything they want. Including smores. And SFBS sells smore kits. For $27. For a smore kit. To make at home. For me. If they were open I'd go buy myself a smore kit. And make smores. For me. And maybe my kitty. But more for me. (I'm going to sleep now...) -

I don't know how much more I can add that the other reviewers haven't already provided, but I did enjoy myself at Sweet Flour. The place was hopping on a Sunday morning but I was still in and out in around five minutes. Staff were friendly and the place was very clean (including their single bathroom). I tried both a muffin top and a cookie (preferred the cookie) and for $2.50 each, was pleased with the little splurge for a confectionary.

Hubby and I were driving around to get a cup of coffee (from an independent store) when we noticed Sweet Flour. We were curious to see what their niche was...pleasantly surprised to see custom made cookies. The concept reminds me of Subway...pick out your base (oatmeal, regular or peanut butter) and choose your condiments (a great variety to choose from). The have some pre-made cookies, but who can resist "making" your own. I chose regular base with white chocolate and macadamia nuts and hubby chose peanut butter with pecans and dark chocolate ($2.50 each). The counter person mixes each of the mixes, forms a cookie and puts the cookie in a turbo oven. After a couple of minutes the cookie is taken out and cooled before being handed back. We ordered coffee (a bit strong for our liking) and milk (of course). The cookies were good - fair size, tasty, and fresh, but not the best I ever had (the dough seems a little heavy). The disappointment came when our order got mixed up with another person's order. The customer rep already gave our cookie to the other customer (who left). We ended up with cookies that we did not choose. After a bit of explaining that these were not the cookies we ordered the owner offered us free crisp cookie sandwiches. We understood that it was a mistake...but kind of surprised that he did not offer to remake the cookies we originally ordered. Anyways...enjoyed the cookies and the concept of the store. We will be back for cookies and milk...maybe the 2nd time will be the charm.
