Swansea Memorial Library is a World War I and II "living" memorial: that's the only reason it is still open. When it is open, which is infrequent, it can get noisy because it is such a small space. Not recommended as a writing or reading space at all.

What this library is really for is people who live in Swansea to pickup their book holds, or drop off their returns; other than that, it is functionally useless, unlike the community centre that houses it. The Town Hall is a great community centre/meeting space, but the library is just merely a room within it, like maybe the kind of library one might have had in their elementary school. Even my former high school's library was bigger. It would rate a one, but for the fact that it does provide a convenient service for the local community.

Swansea Memorial consists of a room inside Swansea town hall; it feels more like a small-town branch than part of TPL. Most of the library's patrons seem to be seniors, and they are literally closed half the time.

Back when Runnymede Library was closed for renovations, I would get my holds sent here, and every once in a while pick up something that they happened to have (an "impulse borrow," if you will). But for browsing or even ambiance, if you can get to another library branch, you might as well pass up this one.
