Surprisingly roomy of a venue to watch soccer games, well, before the Whitecaps left, it was. It's a great place to just peak into during your jog around central park but apart from that, it's sort of a forsaken stadium now.

A very nice outdoor stadium for track and field. The 400 metre Olympic regulation oval track have very limited hours for public use. There is a soccer field inside but it is only for amateur/professional soccer teams. Also, this stadium hosted the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. I wish this stadium is more accessible for the general public. There are way too many restrictions.
All in all, you'll feel more professional when you're running inside Swangard instead of the seawalls of Vancouver. I can imagine Swangard being used if Vancouver is awarded for a future Summer Olympics. -

Great place to watch Canadian Rugby on a cold, rainy winter night. Dress warm!
