LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Even in sushi-saturated Vancouver, this is a standout. Where else can you get a plate of HUGE pieces of sashimi for under $10? More important than the generous portion size, the fish is extremely fresh and tasty.

I also love their rolls, especially the house roll and spicy tuna roll. But really, I don't think you can go wrong if you choose something made with ingredients that you like. I brought my sushi-loving older bro here for a "snack" (which with him always translates into ordering enough to feed an army) and he was uber-impressed.

The atmosphere is clean and fairly modern and updated. The service I would say is average compared to other sushi restaurants, ie. no frills and you may have to crane your neck to make eye contact with a server for a water refill or napkin, but your food will arrive fairly promply. But honestly I can't think of too many sushi restaurants where you're doted on.

Definitely worth the trip over the bridge for the quality and great value. Moreover, the Marine Drive location makes it reasonably accessible from downtown.

This place only gets 4 stars because of the AMAZING sashimi. Holy #$%^ it is super fresh and super tasty AND cheap. Need I say more?
The wifey and I came here on our first night in Vancouver. It popped my Vancouver cheery and it was the perfect place for dinner. It was a busy Friday night, which is probably normal, so it took a little while to be seated. Once we decided what rolls we wanted, we ordered immediately because it was a pain getting the waiter's attention. And I was starving. Anyway we ordered a bunch of rolls, which were pretty good and all were really cheap. The only one that sucked was the 'Dynamite roll" which consisted of some cucumber and shrimp tempura. That's it. There's nothing "dynamite' about that. It wasn't even spicy. I was confused and sent the roll back and got another. They were cool about it, but they really need to rename that roll the boring roll because it sucks.
Overall this place has amazing sashimi and amazingly low prices! And it's weird to me that it shares the building with McDonalds. Crazy Canadians.

Not only is the sushi great, but so are the portions and atmosphere. Affordable, tasty, and elegant. These guys have it figured out.

Fresh, cheap and fast.  They have some really "awesome" rolls. One of the best sushi restaurants in North Vancouver.

Went here for all u can eat lunch and it was very good.
Portions are big, fish is fresh and service is very good. Prices are also very good. I would rate it 5, but although the sushi is fresh and all, its not as tasty as other places and also they dont carry some fish at different times. However, i would totally recommend this place to anyone who likes sushi.

Great food, nice atmosphere (similar to an Earls or somewhere like that) but only mediocre service! They sometimes forget to bring things (like extra ginger or will bring our roll 20 minutes after we got our other ones and we're finished eating) but we always come back because the food is great- spicy salmon sashimi (sauce on the side) is AMAZING and generous portion. :)

Generous portions, well-priced, and a good atmosphere.  The portions are comparable to Samurai Sushi on Davie and in Kerrisdale, however, the sashimi is noticeably fresher.

One star gets knocked off because the service is below average in terms of getting them to take your order, and awful in terms of getting refills for tea and water.  I come here every 3 weeks and yesterday they had a girl in training to pour tea/water, so maybe they are remedying this situation.

Feed a family of 4 comfortably for $40! Went with the fam today and everything was awesome - from food to service! Can't beat the prices, portions and good taste here - still a favourite! We recommend:

    - Spicy salmon and tuna sashimi (what they're known for)
    - If you like the California roll, try the Smoked Salmon Roll (Cali roll with smoked salmon on top) for an extra $1 - it's much bigger than your typical cali roll and a little different!

This place has great prices on sushi and nigiri! The portion sizes are ginormous so keep this in mind when ordering the number of rolls you want!! The rolls are the size of my palm (no joke!). Service isn't too bad compared to what the other reviewers stated, but we went late at night. They serve complimentary barley tea. I would definitely return.

This is my Go To location for a quick meal. Yes, it's quite busy nearly all the time, and you will have to wait for a table. I usually order pickup. Pay by cash, and you get a 10% discount if you ordered a day in advance.

If you're seated, the service is stellar. You won't ever need to call twice for a waiter, and as all you can eat is not an option at this restaurant, they'll never forget what you asked for. Food comes very quick in the few instances where the restaurant is not busy, but the wait is manageable.

I do, however, have two requests for Sushi Town. First, they need to be a little bit bigger. (If any managers happen to read this, buy the pho shop next door. Heaven knows you make enough money to do so...) The second request is really more a wish than anything: make the food just a little bit cheaper. I never had a problem when my parents were paying for my meals, but now when I visit as a college student, the price really adds up quickly. Still, try the awesome roll. You'd be hard pressed to find better sushi anywhere else, except maybe for China. But Yelp's not there...yet.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Been there many times, only tried one dish, can not change any more. Spicy salmon sashimi don. Delicious, and big portion. I always have leftover that feed me and my husband for another meal. Every week I go to sushi town for one meal.

Our favorite sushi place.  Six of us meet there every few weeks and are never disappointed by the quality and quantity of the food.  We make a reservation for a particular table and it is always there for us.  Service is sometimes a little spotty but usually only at very busy times.  Not a big deal.
    Value is excellent.

Ok, this place is good cheap eats, not authentic Japanese, but Korean owned however, they do go through a lot of sushi, which means its always fresh! The portions are generous and my favorite rolls are Awesome roll and Red Dragon roll. Nothing really outstanding or different though.

I was really disappointed in my experience at Sushi Town. We should probably have left when we got there and were left standing by the entrance without any acknowledgement while servers ran by for 5 or so minutes. We stuck around and waited, hoping that our patience would pay off. The rest of the service, unfortunately, pretty much felt the same. We never even got the water we asked for when we first sat down. When food came, it was deliver without a word as the server ran off to do his or her next task. Yeah, they were busy, but I don't know if I've ever felt like I was part of a factory production line as much as I did at Sushi Town.

At the end of the meal I left saying, "That wasn't so bad if you don't count the service and the rolls." The hamachi kama, sashimi, and nigiri sushi were all good. However, the two rolls we ordered were not good. The eel specialty roll was actually revolting. It was mushy and overcooked. Nothing about it was fresh. We didn't complain or send it back because no one ever came by our table long enough for us to communicate with them.

Like I said, several things we ordered were pretty good (just avoid that specialty eel roll). If it weren't for the incredibly crappy service, I might give them another chance.

I love sushi town. This location is the newest and nicest.

Everything is fresh and delicious. Go for the spicy tuna sashimi or the spicy salmon sashimi.  It's amazing.  I usually fill up on that first, order an additional roll and then I'm done for the night.  If this place were located downtown, I'd be there at least a couple times a week to satisfy my craving.

I think how inexpensive the food this restaurant serves is rather crazy. I have never had sushi/sashimi this fresh at this low of a price. The food comes in very large portions so I suggest you share when you come here. The sashimi comes in a very large pile. The tempura is pretty good, very lightly fried and not heavy with an oil taste like other places.

New sushi place in North Vancouver that is joint to the McDonald's entrance, parking lot and drive-thru. Once you step in, you'd think it's a bit fancy for a japanese restaurant but I think it's because it previously was some kind of bar and grill. The owners of this place is trying to bump out any competitors in the surrounding area, including Sushi Man, which I wouldn't vouch for in the first place. The portions are large and the prices are cheap. The taste is good and the service is great. I am a sucker for agedashi tofu and have ordered from many different places before. With the price tag of $3 or so, I expected the usual 3 or 4 pieces of tofu cubes but I was pleasantly surprised when it was a bowl full of tofu, maybe 7 or 8 pieces, without compromising any of the flavour. I would not mind returning here to dine.

We were visiting Vancouver, when a friend took us here.  We had to wait for about 35 minutes before we were seated.  When you go in, there's a sign up board where you write your name down.  Afterwards there's not too many places to stand and wait.

However, once we were seated and ordered our food. I was amazed at the size and quality of the food.  For 5 adults and 4.5 kids our bill came out to $79. Which for the same amount would have cost us a few hundred back in Seattle.

Great Food, Great Price! It was worth the wait on a Friday night.
