This place has really interesting "Western-Style" rolls (Western as in North American, not cowboys).

It has been a while since I ate here so I can't remember the name of the salad we had but it was amazing!  It had three different types of fish in it and amazing dressings and you didn't want to eat it because it looked like a work of art but you are so glad you did because it is one of the best sushi items you have ever had.

The other item that stood out was the BBQ scallop roll.  Very original "Western-style" sushi roll, absolutely worth a try.

We took the sea bus over from Vancouver just to have lunch here are it was worth it!

Good sushi. Some creative, interesting rolls. A bit pricier than other sushi places around, but more variety.

    Nice atmosphere and ambiance.

This place offers a wide variety of special maki, however they are most crunch which is one thing that I hate when it comes to sushi. Quality is good for any other city, mediocre for Vancouver. The real drawback is the service. We used to go here but the service kept getting worse and now we haven't been there for 6 months and I don't see myself going back.

A modern sushi restaurant on the North Shore with a comforting intimate atmosphere and a very unique selection of rolls - Grand Opening was 6 days ago!

With its red, black and Asian accents, wine display and mellow background music, this classy sushi restaurant features specialty rolls, roll combos and a Japanese menu, located on Lonsdale and 13th. Although a little pricier than your typical sushi spot, the quality is also a little better. It's a great setting for a dinner date (quite romantic) or to experience some fusion rolls with some girlfriends, tapa-style. The staff are smiley, very welcoming and hospitable!

I'd have to say this was one of the first times that I've embraced trying fusion sushi rolls (ie. 'white people' rolls with cream cheese) and it was fun. I came with my two guy friends for dinner tonight. We shared:

    - Philadelphia roll: salmon, cream cheese, avocado, smoked salmon ($8.25)
    - Sweet roll: cream cheese, avocado, prawn tempura, tuna, avocado ($10) - A unique tempura wrapped roll. The guys loved both of these! They were very good, but I`m not a huge fan of cream cheese in my rolls.
    - Roll Combo A: California, spicy tuna and salmon roll ($11) - Good, spicy tuna was very good
    - Hawaiian roll: mango, avocado, cucumber, avocado salad. Surprisingly, very tasty, refreshing, delicious - Highly recommend! ($10.50)
    - Coconut ice cream ($6) - Coconut ice cream with coconut shavings and a delicious mango on the inside, served in a cupcake wrapper - so yummy! Recommend!

If you come in thinking of these specialty rolls as tapas and not sushi, then the rolls are delicious, reasonably-priced and worth experiencing. You just have to get that "this isn't real roll sushi" mindset out of ya -  hah, well at least I had too. A great addition to the mix on the North Shore!

    What's more:
    - Take-out option
    - Open for lunch
    - Specialty rolls: $8-12 for 8 pieces
    - Offers Japanese menu with udon, yakisoba, and teriyaki bowls, nigiri, rolls, lunch boxes

BEST NEW SUSHI PLACE ON LONSDALE! The owners are really friendly and outgoing and what makes them really unique is that their specialty rolls all come with a homemade mixture of sauces. Perfect for people like me who are tired of the taste of soya sauce (after a while it seemed that all sushi rolls tasted the same to me!).
AWESOME VEGGIE SUSHI ALERT! One of the women who manages the place LOOOVES vegetables so she offers a much bigger variety of veggie sushi than most places. The most original one is the Michelle Roll with yam, zucchini, eggplant and tomato! One roll and a bowl of miso soup was enough to make me feel full so it added up to a bill around $12.

Good sushi, good environment, good service. Parking could be tough since its right on Lansdale. The rolls are awesome. The sauces add a good new touch.  A little on the pricy side but well worth it. Give them a try!

It is the best place for sushi ever. I live in Port Moody and I went all the way there. The Nami Castle Sashimi Salad is beautiful- a feast for the eyes and tongue. It has this refreshing taste that goes beautifully with the special rolls. The presentation of food is absolutely high-end, the food itself will not disappoint, and the service is awesome. It hasn't been long since this place has opened but I'm sure the words will get around that this is the place to go, of all those countless sushi places in North Vancouver.
