A mixed bag..the drivers were friendly, and offered to carry my bags. (Yeah, I'm a guy but was carrying 3x my body weight in books and winter clothes. Besides, I had slacked off from the gym during my board exam preparation.) The driver on the way to the airport was actually on time - a pleasant surprise - and got me to airport on time. He was even chatty about the upcoming Giants' championship.

The driver on the return trip was also a nice guy - heck, he even looked like Santa - but he was a little disoriented, in that I had to repeat my address a couple of times and even had to point out which exit to take out of the airport. He even said that he normally doesn't cover this route. Thank goodness it was GETTING home instead of rushing to catch a flight.

The one thing I noticed about both vans was that the A/C was weak to nonexistent. Let's hope they get that fixed up.

At last minute, making a reservation was a piece of cake. At midnight on a Saturday night, I made a reservation for pickup at the Ramada Inn in Hollywood, Florida for 11am. Since you can't make a reservation online, I called, and received a confirmation number at the end of the call. Everything went smoothly.

I waited outside at 11am. At 11:15am, I called. It turns out I was given the wrong confirmation number (under someone's name that wasn't mine), so it took a while to find my reservation. It should be noted I've used Super Shuttle before, but never have had a problem in the past finding my confirmation number.

Finally at 12pm, the shuttle came. This was after an abundance of phone calls, false promises of arrivals within five minutes, etc. While customer service was pleasant (hence the two stars), the shuttle was an hour late. If you can help it, use another company!

It should come as no surprise to anyone that like most things in my life, I am neurotic abt traveling -- so, when I rebooked a flight leaving from Ft. Lauderdale rather than Miami, I was immediately worried I would be stuck in horrid traffic and that I would miss my plane...regardless -- what is good: I was able to book a shuttle at 1am for later that afternoon, and the price, $31 is totally reasonable -- now onto what is weird...

Okay, I take SS like once every 3 years, but I am aware that it's a shared thing, so when they tell you a pick up time, sometimes its approximate b/c they have to get other riders. Fine. But at least give me a heads up abt estimated arrival time so that I'm not having a panic attack abt the shuttle never showing up -- so, after 3 phone calls inquiring after my driver, he finally rolls up (shirt untucked, tie all over the place) 40 minutes late -- 40 min I don't really have, given that FLL can be a drive, depending on the road conditions -- okay, fine, I expected there to be other passengers.  Wrong -- I was the only one thus far, so we then drove all over Miami Beach for 40 minutes picking up 3 other people -- a trip which included several detours, looking at maps, calling dispatch, and oh right, a U-turn onto the SIDEWALK.  LOVE IT.

Did I feel safe w/ this man behind the wheel? No. But, due to his manic driving did I just make it onto my plane? Yes.  Worth the panic? Def not -- next time I'm swallowing the cost of a car service and billing Papa N.

A cheaper option only if you're traveling solo. If you're flying with a friend, you might as well share a cab -- it'll be quicker and around the same price than if you paid for the shuttle for yourself.

But if you arrive alone and don't have a ride, this is a no brainer. You do need to reserve for pickup. But if you arrive at the airport, you don't need a reservation.

I can tell you Super Shuttle is the worst place to work for - I know I was their driver.

Drivers complain constantly on the crappy pay (commissions - up to 27% of fares), lack of proper maintence on vans and/or the lack of vans. Some drivers must wait for a long time - sometimes over an hour for a vehicle to be able earn some money - we do not get paid for the waiting time nor the time credit and we still have to do the eight and the hald hour min..  Some drivers will just leave for the day than waste their time up to three hours just for a van.  I from New York, and the Subway and Busses runs every twenty minutes during late night hours under normal service and that can feels like over an hour.  Sometimes when I am getting close to end my shift, I get hit a three stop run ending in Palm Beach during afternoon rush hour an I get really upset and everybody noticed this including passengers except management.

I also feel Super Shuttle do not care about the vans.

    -  Some vans have no A/C,
    -  Suts off without warning at the wrong time.
    -  Some of the vans can not be shut off because I can not start then again.
    -  Some of them leaks (oil, coolant) so mechanics would prefer to add fluid that to repair the leak and management might curse and make the driver pay blowned engine, even if it not the fauld of the driver.
    -  Some vans break down several time for the same reason, mechanics will tale a look and put back in service because they are short on vehicles.
    -  Sometimes make driver and CSR make fake excuses to passengers and I tired in making excuses and everybody blames me for things that are beyond my control.

Management do not care about me, my health (I am diabetic type 2 w/ high blood pressure) and I know some drivers who died on-duty nor that I have a F***** life and I want to enjoy it once in a while.  I really feel like a F****** slave.  I also feel like a have a some kind of form of autism.

I always pray that the van breaks down so I can go home early.

Super Shuttle is the worst place to work for and they screwed me BIG TIME ! !

Take the cab or Miami-Dade Transit Route 150 (AIRPORT EXPRESS) $2.35 per person if you are going to South Beach and you have very little luggage.

    F*** SUPER SHUTTLE ! ! !

I'm probably just a big fan because my experience with the Go Shuttle was so bad, but my experience with Super Shuttle, both going to the airport and coming back, were very positive experiences that do not make me hesitate to book again.

I took off a star for the fact that you can't book online and for the fact that the Phone Reservation line is both hard to understand (they seem to have connection issues) and staffed by rude people.

The driver though arrived at my home 5 minutes early and waited the 5 minutes for me to finish some stuff up.  He then came up to the second floor (outside walkway of course) and got my huge suitcase instead of watching me fall down the stairs with it.  He was super pleasant but probably would have shut up if I had indicated I wasn't interested in talking.

On the way back the wait for the shuttle was a mere 15 minutes (as opposed to the hour I had to wait for the Go Shuttle).  The driver was very nice and, because it was raining, walked my suitcase up to my front door without rolling it across the parking lot that had become my personal front door lake.

The service was nice and efficient.  I also had my pup with me in a carrier.  They only charge a $5 service fee as opposed to Go Shuttle who make you take a personal ride for $70.  And they didn't even charge me for the dog on the way back.  I live by the beach and the ride was $21 each way, not including tip and dog.

    Miami Supershuttle, never again. Unreliable!!!
I made a reservation, I had my reservation number. I waited and waited and waited...for a 515am pick up at 545am I called them. The first agent exclaimed OMG  (after getting my confirmation #), then I was on hold and transferred around, then a second "rude" agent to tell me, you better call a taxi because we can't find your reservation and hung up. No supervisors on duty, until 8am. I will Never again do business with this company.

Cannot book online; takes nearly 10 minutes to book and prepay for one simple pick-up; I've called and spoken to several employees, phone staff not the brightest, which is very frustrating. After booking and prepaying over the phone for one traveler, this traveler was harassed by the driver and made to pay for a second time. When I called to speak to someone about the double charge, I was ignored, sent to the reservations extension, then transferred to quality assurance, and then finally to someone else who said we would be credited a charge, but offered no explanation or apology.

Hello! Maybe you should learn how to read a map if you're driving a shuttle, just saying that it would be nice if the driver had understood Miami's grid-like addresses or if he would have listened to me when I tried to help.

I was told by several friends to use them so I did. I called and made my appt and they were courteous and quick to get me on a shuttle. I was so pleased when I walked downstairs as the shuttle was pulling up. The driver was polite and nice and reassured me we just had one quick stop since it was 6am I wasn't too concerned. Oh, but I should have been.

I asked him the name of the building he said: "No Name". I asked him the address since he seemed to be staring at the map like suddenly it would spurt wings and fly off so he had to stare it down into submission. He mumbled something about 15th street. So when he seemed to be heading into Downtown from Brickell I felt confident he knew where he was going. That is until he got on I-95 and jumped off on near Midtown to then drive all the way back down to 15th street... All the time the clock is ticking down and I'm beginning to realize he is directionally challenged. For the record I did voice my concerns and he was apologetic.

Luck have it I made it to my flight just in time.

Would I use them again? Yes. However, I would make sure nothing like this ever happened again by padding my flight time by about 30 minutes.

Among the worst methods of transportation I've ever taken. After wandering around MIA for 30 minutes trying to find Super Shuttle (not a single airport employee knew what I was talking about, leading me to think I was on the hunt for some sort of gyspy transportation service), I finally tracked down one of the shitty, bare bones stops and started to scrutinize the fare schedule. Shouldn't ground transportation be easier to find than this?

According to the map, I had to get to Zone 4 but the price list was based on Zones A, B C & D. Nothing lined up but the most expensive was $18, so I took a chance and asked the depressed Super Shuttle employee that was half-leaning on her booth what to do. She unexcitedly wrote up an invoice for $21 and told me to sit tight.

She then made a series of indecipherable phone calls and assured me the shuttle was on its way. Now, to this moment I still don't understand how the shuttle works, because almost twenty of them went by before one slowed down to pick me up and none were full.

    Twenty shuttles.

After 40 minutes I was starting to contemplate whether the savings of $11 (estimated cab fare: $32) was really worth the wait, but at that very moment the "shuttle" (no speed implied here) appeared. I got in and chose to keep my luggage with me on my seat as the driver appeared to have no interest in handling it with care.

And I haven't even gotten to the disorganized part yet.

We then stopped at three more exits to pick up other passengers, and  the driver pulled over, collected everyone's invoices and asked each person for exact addresses (I mistakenly thought this was a shuttle service for hotels only). Then he asked them for preferred routes and made a map in his mind of who he would drop off first, and which order he would drive to each location. He then stopped at the Super Shuttle checkpoint to sign some documents and natter with the booth attendant. At no point was the itinerary or procedure shared with the passengers, seemingly because everyone in the shuttle except me was German anyway.**

Forty minutes later I was at my hotel and I paid the driver. I was not given a receipt even though my invoice said I would. Oh - was I supposed to leave a tip? Because I totally didn't.

Moral of the story: take a cab.

**Why are there so many German tourists in Miami??

Apparently, if you call the direct number for Miami, it's only $17 to get to the airport. My friend told me when she called the main 800 number, it was $22.

However, they arrived early for her and for me, they never called to say they were there. My flight was to leave at 10:45 and they told me they'll be there at 8:45. I thought that was a little late and called back to try to change to an earlier time. Nope, they weren't having it. They neglected to tell me to stand outside for the shuttle.

So, 8:45 came and went and I finally called to inquire where the hell was the shuttle. I was put on hold and eventually, the doorman of the building called to say there had been a Super Shuttle waiting in the driveway all this time.

I got downstairs and the driver had the nerve to admonish me about being 10 minutes late! What! I wasn't the one who was late.

Well, at least it only took about 20 minutes to get to the airport and fortunately security wasn't too bad.

Would I use them again? Yes, but make sure you stand outside or you might miss the shuttle!

like William B. said, it is annoying that you cant book online but once I arrived at MIA on Friday morning the shuttle came in less than 10 mins. I didn't make a reservation but that wasn't a problem because the shuttles circle the airport so even if one just left another will be by in a few mins. Its $21 to loews miami beach hotel. A cab would have been about $32, so if you are a party of 2 or more, take a cab.
Also know the address of your hotel. The driver knew where the loews was but another passenger was going to the W, and the driver didn't know where that was and tried to drop him off at the Z hotel or something. HAHA.

They tell you that pickup from hotel to airport has to be scheduled 24hrs in advance which is bs. In any case the same driver picked me up promptly at noon on monday.

They take credit cards but its a bit of a hassle because the driver has to fill out a little form. No machine like in cabs. You also get the sense that the driver is annoyed. Oh well.

Overall this is a great way to get back and forth from the airport in Miami.

I took the shuttle home after taking a trip from MIA. After I collected my baggage and went to the staging area I got in line to get on the list to go home. (some jerk off had run in front of me to get the last available seat on an outgoing shuttle...but since I had nowhere except home to be who cares) So, the guys asking where you were going was rude and I could hardly understand him because he kept mumbling on top of having a thick accent. So, my inital impression of super shuttle was "great, this is going to suck". SO, the guy at the airport was lame and I had to wait about 20 minutes for another shuttle to come and bring me home.

The drive was fine and the guy didn't get lost. So, I was happy to get home and glad the driver was good. I would use them again, if I have to...but I would still rather have a friend come and get me!

Typically I like super shuttle. Its cheaper than a taxi...but relatively decent still.

In Miami you cannot make a reservation online and somehow I always forget that when I go online to make one. At any rate if you call in you will get fast and friendly service.

On my last voyage I used this service one way, to the airport. The driver was on time and got me to the airport in plenty of time to go through security. (Though I was a little surprised that the driver practically begged me for a bigger tip...seriously?!...I tip very well so I was not happy about this unnecessary guilty trip).

It's a little weird that it's on a different network from the other Supershuttles, so you have to reserve a spot by phone and not the internet.  And it's a little annoying that they come so early.

But they're reliable, they get you where you want to go, and they're a lot cheaper than a cab, and not that much slower.  If you need airport transportation, beggars can't be choosers!

I've had favorable experiences with SuperShuttle in other cities in the past, so I was expecting reasonable service with Miami SuperShuttle when I took them to the Miami International Airport a few months ago.

    Big mistake.
I should have known there might be a problem when I called the 800 number on the national website and was put on hold to wait for an agent for over 20 minutes (this was calling around 10pm for a shuttle the next morning), only to then be told by said agent that the national call center does not handle Miami SuperShuttle bookings. I would have to call a different, local Miami number.

So I called the local SuperShuttle number and spoke with an agent who seemed more than a little distracted. At the end of the conversation, she said everything was set and I should be ready for a shuttle to pick me up the next morning.

Long story short:  I waited 45 minutes, but the shuttle never showed. When I called to find out what was going on, it turned out that they had my name and phone number associated with somebody else's reservation -- who was coming from Fort Lauderdale, not Miami!!

They sent another driver out right away. He arrived about 15 minutes later, and since when I had made the reservation I had told them my flight would be earlier than it was actually scheduled (just to be on the safe side), I still had enough time to check in for the flight. The shuttle driver then tried to charge me the rate they charge for a single-party in the van -- but I refused to pay it because it was their scheduling screw up that led to them having to rush out an empty van for me and drive it straight to the airport. He ended up accepting the fee I had been quoted when I had called the night before.

It would have been cheaper and less of a hassle to have just called a taxi, which is what I now do when I don't want to drive and park at the airport.

Given that my flight was in the middle of the day and during the week I needed a ride to the airport. I contemplated a cab but figured I could save a few bucks by using this service. Granted, when I called to make the appointment, the rep hung up on me, but I called right back and finished my shuttle reservation. I live in Aventura, which is as north of Miami Dade County as it gets, so it was about $28 for the service to get to MIA. They arrived in the 15 minute window they gave me and all was well. Botton line: I would definitely use this service again if I needed to.

They failed to pick me up on time for an international flight and I was forced to take a taxi.  I wrote a letter to ask for reimbursement and they blamed me.  They were not interested in doing the right thing even if I had a confirmation number and witnesses at the hotel who were concerned that they did not show up.  TERRIBLE SERVICE and no concern for helping the customer. Will choose every other shuttle service before choosing or recommending this one.
