This is my favorite Chinese bookstore in the Richmond area! Lots of selection of a broad range of topics and even Chinese magazines. They have Cantonese and Mandarin books!

Another major plus in my opinion is there huge selection of paint brushes for calligraphy!

Also you cant help but love that name Sup Bookstore, it reminds me of the SC2 meme Sup Son'.

"Sup"?... I think this bookstore is trying to pick me up? I can't even read Chinese but I'm inclined to go in with that fresh name.

I notice a good selection of asian magazines (how I wish I could read Japanese - love their quirky, unique and bright fashion). There's a good variety of books from what I can gather. There was even a Chinese translation of the Steve Jobs book, camera dslr books, learn about photoshop book, and more. What I really enjoyed was in the middle of the store, a calligraphy section - brushes, ink, notebooks.

I think if I knew how to read Chinese, I would have appreciated this store much more.

This place has a fairly good selection of books of the Asian origin if you know your language well. This is one of the few bookstores I've found outside of Asia that carries a lot of text-based book series versus manga or comic type books and they also carry a lot of informational books or reference type books in Asian languages that you wouldn't find, say at Kinokuniya.

I am surprised by this because this is pretty rare for an Asian bookstore which would usually consist of a lot of Asia culture type items like toys and stuffed animals as well as little trinklets here and there. Now onto the re-learning of Chinese ...
