OK, so you will ask, WTF am I doing here by writing a review for Suki's?
I'm writng it for my mother and my brother (who doesn't write). My mother loves Suki's and so does my brother. They both see the same hair stylist, Joyce. Yes she sounds familiar as she's had a review done on her already here by another Yelper.
I also see a whole bunch of people there, all pretty happy and upbeat and very stylish. If you know me, I'm not stylish. I used to be. That's what my brother is for. He's "stylin"!
He's got that cool hair and the funky clothes and intelligent glasses that say, I'm hip, but not a hipster.
My mom always looks forward to coming into town to get her hair done and chit chat with the girls.
So in a way, I get to see the results and they are good. So it is a five star review then.
Why do you ask that I don't go myself? I guess I don't have an excuse now do I?Listed in: Romancing the Stone.

I had a pretty good stylist for stint and then the stylist left. :(
So did I.
I quite like this salon but didn't find another stylist I could connect with at this location. -

I am surprised to see that there are only 2 reviews written for this location because my virgin experience at Suki's on South Granville was excellent.
My hair stylist, Joyce, was attentive and nailed my hair cut. I felt she really listened and understood what I was looking for in a hair cut. After I told Joyce what I wanted/expected (after telling her my horrifying experience at Suki's in Downtown Vancouver with Antonio), she went right to work. The appointment took almost 1.5 hours. The result was well worth the long wait because my hair cut looks fantastic! My slick bob is short at the back and long at the front. She layered it so that the back of the hair is light and modern (as opposed to the traditional dense look). Furthermore, it's easy to maintain. All I need to do after I wash my hair is to blow dry. There is none of that blow-dry styling or flat iron fuss.
My hair cut costed me an arm and a leg but the happy smile I wear from constant compliments is - priceless. Needless to say I will definitely come back and have Joyce cut my hair for many years to come.
Additional Notes
The building itself is spacious and bright. The floor above street level is used for only coloring/highlights. The floor underneath the main is for spa.
Suki's does not have their own parking lot so the only way to get here by car is street parking.Listed in: Beauty Joints

I really like this spa, very clean, cozy and small. I've been going there for years and even though their spa is small, it's not cluttered and has enough space for men's and women's changeroom (shower, lockers, washroom stalls and vanity area), little steam room and sauna. I think they probably have around 6-7 treatment rooms in the basement of Suki's on Granville. Very white, serene, and clean.
I'm QUITE disappointed that they don't have the matcha green tea facial anymore, I was a big fan of that facial!! -

I'm updating my review to a 3-star, as the spa director wrote to me in private and appologized for the service. It was really nice of her to take the time to reply promptly. It was unexpected. Steam room is now fixed, and to my surprised, I was even offered a complimentary facial for my next visit. If I go, I'll likely combine it with an RMT treatment. Excellent customer service.

I booked a massage and facial with my social shopper vouchers. It was my first time there, so didn't know any one of the estheticians. I got Lynn. She had pretty good pressure for the massage and kept asking me if the pressure was adequate. She worked at a couple of knots. The facial was nice. Asked me what I wanted her to focus on. I asked for extractions. She was pretty thorough with the extractions and it didn't hurt that much. She recommended a couple of products but wasn't pushy about selling them. The regular price for both service is 85$ each. I would consider going back.
The only downer: one of the toilets didn't flush :( -

I only go to Suki's for a Shanghai Pedicure. Mr. So is the foot expert at Suki's. Mr. So's younger brother worked on my feet at the Mandarin Oriental Spa in Hong Kong. When I found out that the older brother was working at Suki's Spa, I quickly made an appointment. Mr So's father started the business in Shanghai and passed the skills to his two sons.
Back to the foot treatment. After soaking your feet for 10 minutes, Mr So will bring a tray of instruments, scalpels and knives.. It looks like he is ready to operate on your feet. He will use a knife to cut your toenail and clean the entire area. The best part is cleaning all the thick dead skin on your feet. After wearing heels, my feet definitely need this type of shaving. Don't worry about Mr. So's work. After several years, I find he is very gentle and knowledgeable about feet. He never cuts too deep. I have complete faith in him. After the treatment, the foot looks beautiful and ready for those heels. -

This was my first time here. The parking was hard to find and the outside looks small maybe because it was so busy. The spa is downstairs and very clean and kept. We tried a couples facial through a voucher from social shopper. I have had several facials from different places all over including skoah, solarice, aveda, heavenly soul, belle oasis, forever young, lady orchids and thoroughly enjoy the relaxation and glow my face has after. This facial was BY FAR the best facial I have ever had. The others were great but this was AMAZING. I had Lily who must be top notch because she treated Suki herself right after me. Suki is the sweetest cutest lady and made an extra effort to greet everyone. I was happy to meet her. The facial is tailored to your skin using all dermalogica products but I was pleasantly surprised with a hand, arm, and foot massage (brief and would have loved a bit longer). The face massage though was so comfortable. My skin looked and felt fantabulous. When you are done, they actually wait for you out the door to hand you a cup of water (or tea). They also offer a complimentary make up touch up (if you want it). We didn't use the steam room or sauna, but that is also included. Everyone had the best service here and you feel so happy leaving. They give you an envelope to write to and from and place your tips at the end. If you don't have exact cash, you can charge it to your card but they give you cash to put in the envelope.
I encourage everyone to try the spa once and I am confident you will love every minute just like me :)
