This gets my vote for "best store in the plaza". Sugar mountain has closed a lot of their locations in Toronto, and we are lucky that this has stayed open. It is exactly as it sounds - giant candy shop with lots of bulk sours, licorice, jellies as well as wrapped goods like super sour blow pops. It is often a struggle to resist getting $15 worth of bulk candy and eating it all in a night. I love sours.
Candy is usually fresh though occasionally you'll get something that far too hard to chew. Regardless, you won't find such candy anywhere else. The store often seems empty, I'm hoping that it will stays open at least until the end of my degree. -

Sugar Mountain is a nice contrast to the plaza. The candy taste old, but the store has a nice feel to it and a lot of selection that is hard to find now. Like coke candy!
Also, you can get your retro coke bottles here, maybe $3. And note that this place is really expensive.
