Fuss, Flirt, and Crave, you better look out ! Here comes your Queen ! I've driven by here so many times and just stared at the window...finally I went in today ! Once you're in a beautiful seductive waft of cakes being made tickles your nose. All the cupcakes are shown in a glass window, most of them being butter cream, and to my demise the only cream cheese icing one was sold out ! After looking for a bit I asked the girl if there were any cream cheese icing ones left and she made me a custom one ! Asked me what kind of cake I wanted and then put some cream cheese icing on top ! No one has ever offered to do this before. So I had a freshly made cupcake (red velvet of course yum!) which was extremely moist along with a lemonade one, sorry I don't remember what it was all about but this one was a bit too sweet but the cake was really moist and delicious .. all of them were moist and delicious really.. I also got 2 mini cupcakes with these, a grape jelly one that had a peanut butter cake.. and a cookies and cream one. And surprisingly, I LOVED the butter cream on these! I'll never have to drive to the city again to satisfy my sweet tooth!

I took my four year old daughter here for a little 'date' today, and it was a big hit! My choc-aholic kid went with the 'Brunette', a very moist chocolate cupcake with chocolate butter cream (icing to us regular joe's). Bless my soul, I opted for the 'Elvis'; a banana cupcake with peanut butter icing, and it was so good I had to take one home for my wife as well. I'm all shook up!
Great for cupcakes, and the only thing that would make it better is if they eventually introduced specialty coffees to sip while enjoying one of their wee cakes. Although they would probably need more staff and seating if they did this as well.
The ladies running the place were super friendly, and the atmosphere is trendy yet relaxed. Keep up the good work, I will be back!Listed in: Places to eat in Parkland…

The cupcakes from Sugar Leaf are the best that I have found. I visit one of the two Fuss locations or Flirt (all in Edmonton) on a weekly basis, and am very familiar with their cupcakes. Although there's are good, Sugar Leaf's are much better. I really, really liked that Sugar Leaf's icing tasted homemade whereas I find that the three cupcake shops in Edmonton use an icing that tastes like the icing on Safetway cakes, the stuff that comes in a 20L pail. I realize that may sound odd, but it's important to me. The cupcakes themselves are also incredibly moist and tasty.
I will continue to purchase cupcakes from Sugar Leaf, and wish I could think of more ways to introduce my friends in the city to them. They are definitely worth a stop in Stony Plain.
