It's sad to hear that people had bad customer service experiences with Succezz. Every single time I've gone in, called them (or, stalker called them seems to be more accurate in my case) or asked any questions to any of the staff, they've been nothing but super nice.
Recently, I've had to make a number of phone calls for a pair of shoes I was trying to buy my Husband for Christmas. I called a couple of months before they were supposed to be released, called them again a month before they came out, and then called AGAIN the day they were supposed to get them.
EVERY SINGLE time, they remembered me, they were nice to me, joked with me, and reassured me that my husband's "white elephat" pair would be there waiting.
Sure enough, they were right there for me when I went to pick them up. Awesomeness.
Succezz always gets the shoes that are limited releases and hard to find. With that, I'm sure people can get irritated with the "exclusivity" of it all, but if you give them a chance, you will be happy. The owner, Vel, knows all his products, takes time to chat with the customers, and is always great. I suggest that if you have any problems, to talk to him, and I'm sure he'll square everything away.
I love to support Chicagoians in their ventures, and this is a local place I'll always recommend. -

More 'urban' than other joints I checked out while I was in Chicago. A lot of AF1s, big consignment collection and tops and kicks grouped by colour matching. Nice.
Sizes were a bit hard to come by though - but that's to be expected as when you carry the selection they do. I missed the Nike Air Force 1 Low x Futura Grey when they came out last year - it was exhilarating to see they had a still pair on the rack. But ball-crushingly painful when they searched the back and didn't find one in my size. Emotional swings is just something you have to deal with as a sneakerhead.
Salespeople are a bit aggressive and overeager to stalk you around the store. Good thing is they offered me a 15% discount as a first time customer. They were generally helpful - but I like to study and measure out my buys - I don't need a running commentary... I can tell you more about your product than you can.
Anyways - a little out out of the way but worth a visit if you're on a the urbanwear tip. -

So let's see. I call the store for advice and/or to see if you want to buy some shoes that I stumbled upon and in return you tell me to "live in the real world, this ain't ebay yo". Really? I know that, I was asking for advice and the only frame of reference that I had was what a certain shoe was going for on ebay. I am not a sneaker expert and do not pretend to be. You can be damn sure, I will never be going to this place again. I have purchased a few pairs from them already. I will live in the real world....and go elsewhere. Way to demean and patronize your clients!!
I have to say, the woman on the phone was just as sweet as can be, not sure if the guys didn't think I could hear them when she was relaying the message, but damn dude. -

Great selection of shoes and clothes. I always check this place for the latest releases. The main reason for the low rating is that their customer service is crap. They're very nice when you walk in, a little pushy when you do wanna try on some shoes but what do you expect from a shoe salesman? But what irks me the most is that I wanted to special order a shoe so they took my name and number down and they said they would call me back within the next two business days. I didn't hear a word from them. I had to contact them via Facebook and he said that they're still working on getting me the shoes. That was about a week or two ago...haven't heard from them since. All they had to do was let me know that they're still working on trying to get my shoe and that it may take a little while. It's also happened to a friend of mine twice.
Although they're a great store, if their customer service stays this bad, then I won't be going here to shop. -

I was sad to see Self Conscious close its doors and finally got around to checking out Succezz (V Dot's other shop). The set-up and merch was similar, staff was cool, etc - all of what I came to love about SC. My trip to Succezz was to get my bro-in law a pair of sneakers for xmas, but when I was shown the brand new limited edition Clark Kent East Coast AF1s, I fell in love and couldn't leave without them. Addiction much? SC was only two blocks from where I live and although Succezz is a bit further, it's definitely worth the trip for me. It's a must go-to for any sneaker head.

Very fresh store! The selection is great, they offer a ton of sneakers and a huge range of t-shirts. What is even better then the selection is the great employees. They were really friendly and more then willing to offer a hand if I had any questions. Next time I am going to have to try designing my own shoes, they have an in-store service called SuccezZ Labs.

Finally made my way over to check the store out. When you walk in you're immediately greeted by a friendly staff, a wide selection of sneaks and an urban but very clean, contemporary layout. I liked the selection of sneakers and clothes. Clothing seems to be a little over priced but the shoes seemed fair. Although the staff is cool and helpful they seemed to smother you a bit and I like to shop on my own. Overall the store is a decent place to shop for some of the latest in a clean layed back environment.
