In a cool covert subterranean store right on Water Street, Subdivision has been my go-to spot for hard-to-find, high-end Japanese streetwear for years. My personal faves include Devilock, Bounty Hounter and their own Division label. Despite the fact that I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, the owner Anthony is ultra nice and has always shipped me the pieces that I want.
On my most recent trip to Gastown, they had some really nice screen prints they did with Devilock for the store's 13th anniversary. These were so mesmerizing that my cousin and I both scooped up prints for our personal art collections.Listed in: Oh Canada :)

An incredibly easy-to-miss store on Water Street (down the street from Alife), being in a half-basement with tinted windows - only when the windows are open, you catch a glimpse of the goodies inside.
Head downstairs and down the dark hallway lit by a red lamp, you feel like you are entering a bunker. The theme continues inside with the stone walls and the clothing carefully spread over wooden pallets.
The store carries a small, but impressive collection of apparel - specializing in Asian streetwear brands (Bounty Hunter, Devilock, SubCrew, FiberOps, etc.) along with some smaller but equally stylish brands - all having a militant slant executed in bold screenprints.
Thumbs-up for the dope design and unique goods. Thumbs down for the limited sizes (then again, I can't really blame them given the Japanese sizing and their usual clientele). Wanted to give them 3.5 stars, but I'll round up since the owner is cool as hell and puts up with me often coming in to check out the goods when there's no way I can fit anything.Listed in: Addicted to Fresh

Quite a cool experience walking into the shop. Its got a fallout shelter post-apocalyptic militant steetwear vibe... lots of unique pieces and interesting objects. Worth checking out for sure.

This place has all the essentials for you hipsters out there. Big ups for a great atmosphere and a great soundtrack when I was browsing the store. The staff were very helpful with picking the right size and giving feedback, and they won't pressure you into buying more than you need. The best of all, you'll find cool/trendy street wears from Hong Kong and Japan brand such as N4E1, Mastermind, Devilock, etc... I would definitely check this place out again!
