NO pain and I think it took only 10 minutes! and I scored free samples of "I love my muff" and total is only 35 dollars..Dirt cheap! Nothing to complain about!
The lady who did my wax was a blonde woman. I left feeling soft and smoooth. Love! -

... just 'got stripped' at the new branch of 'Stripped ' in Kits on W4th, I had read good reviews about the one in Yaletown so thought I would give it a go. Perfect, the staff are really friendly, place is super clean and it was my first 'painfree' waxing, very happy with the results and will definately be going back- I also received a $5 off for my next visit, so I am super super happy with my find!

I got an appointment with Linda after being urged to by quite a few friends.
Front desk is nice and the waxer herself was by far the nicest person I've ever met in this circumstance.
I got a brazillian wax and before I even realize it it was done. By far the fastest and best wax I have ever gotten and worth the commute from North Vancouver.
It's very clean and very affordable and I would recommend it to everyone :) -

Really? Men actually pay for these services--- a man wax for $80? That's a couple Keg steaks right there...

Review from Dani C.
Went here to get my underarms and lower legs waxed.
Price: $15 for the underarms and $25 for the lower legs, so not bad.
The wax itself: The wax was fast and efficient. I can't remember my waxer's name (I think it was Belinda or something?) and she did a good job.
The room: Clean with a chair to put my bag and clothes on and while it isn't as fancy as the rooms at Sugarbox, I'm not complaining.
Service: The receptionist was friendly and making an appointment was a breeze. The waxer I got was friendly and nice.
I'll definitely go back when I need to get my underarms and legs done. -
Review from Abi B.
Good waxing for a reasonable price at a super convenient location.
I can't comment on the brow or bikini/brazilian waxing done here, but the waxing I have had done here was great. The salon is clean and the rooms are reminiscent of a doctor's examination room. That's fine by me; this isn't a spa, you're meant to be in and out quickly.
I also love how they are able to accommodate walk-ins. I'm able to drop in during a break or after work and they've always been able to accommodate me within 10 minutes.Listed in: Yaletown's Beauty Row

possible the least objectionable waxing experience I've had - back and shoulders for 48.00.. crazy quick and crazy painless.. other posters are right - it's not a spa and that's not why Stripped is here... in and out, get on with the day..

Perfect
No wait, no hidden costs, no hair left behind. Fast, painless(as possible), clean, friendly and professional. Best of all... Cheap!!! I can't believe how reasonable they are. -

Ain't been there, but my wife's gone there twice and she absolutely loved them.
Superfast, professional and smooth.
She's definitely going there again. -

This was the worst wax ever. Yes, its cheap; yes, its easy to get an appointment; yes, its quick. Considering those reasons, it indicates why you should not go. Nothing but broken hairs and ingrowns. The lighting is florescent and the esthetician is cold.
Take your business to Opus Salon a block away, they have years of experience and its much more professional. -

I can't give 5 stars when something causes me pain - I just cant.
In an office that is 98% female, I heard about this place through my colleagues who were going in convoy during lunch breaks as Stripped was offering 50% off all services for the first week.
The place is beautiful - clean, gorgeous couch in the entrance and certainly makes you feel at ease.. there's even music playing to relax you while the stripper (waxist, and owner as it happens) does her work.
---Gentlemen, avert your eyes!----
She didn't do a bad job, a brazilian for $17 is a wonderful thing; but I'm not sure she did the best job either. I've had a few wax experiences, both great and absolutely horrible (like, in-some-one's-basement-45-minute-long-pain dodgy). This wasn't at the top - but maybe I have high expectations. All I'll say is, she didn't pull the skin taught before ripping, which greatly minimizes pain. I've seen tons of articles about this in ladies' mags, and they always say a good waxist will pull the skin taught.
-----boys, you can look now-----
I'm going to try SugarBox, which I have seen nothing but rave reviews for, and if that isn't any better, I'll certainly consider the experience 'the norm' and go back.Listed in: Brazilians of Yaletown

Love this place. Linda, my "stripper", is SO fast, and puts you at such ease with super comfortable conversation. She gives super awesome waxing advice, and cares about what you need more as a client than as a dollar. I've had a bunch of brazillians all over north america, and Linda's work is by far the cleanest AND the least painful. I don't cringe or get nervous before she starts because I know it'll be done so quickly, and I won't be crying over it.
Seriously....you'll love this place, and this girl.
The decor is perfect - I'd rather have the room simple and clean than overly frilly and have to deal with someone awkwardly ripping hair off of me. -

After missing out on my appointment back in the summer, I've meant to return to Stripped Wax Bar, Yaletown's 6-month old single service wax bar. Coupled with a nice CRAVE Guide discount, I booked my service in preparation for a hot tub party at next week's Hemlock trip.
A woman's Brazilian (all hair off down there) at Stripped is priced at $35, which is even less than many bikini or French bikini waxes around town (Bikini is $20 and French $30 at Stripped). Their website boasts the speediest service too. As soon as I walked in the door, I was led to the treatment room by esthetician Lisa.
This is the interesting part of Stripped - the walls are white. The ceiling is white. The bedding is nearly white (you'll see a tissue covering the bedding like at the doctor's office) and I'm quite sure the supplies area and chair were white too. It's kind of like those rooms that you see in movies where experiments happen. The thing is, this place isn't meant for you to feel cozy and comfortable so that you'll want to stay way past the time it'll take to painfully pull the hairs off your nether region. Oh no, you're meant to be in and out fast.
I would have liked a poster of a monkey saying "You can do it!" or something of that sort to look at on the ceiling while Lisa went and did her thing, so that I wouldn't be half blinded by the neon light. Lisa also took off more hair than I've ever had taken off, since at other places they will still leave a tiny strip for hygiene reasons even though you ask for a brazilian. Not here though. I told Lisa I think she was getting a little close for comfort, and she replied "Really?" and proceeded to just do her thing. It wasn't the most painful area for me anyway, so I let it happen. Then she asked me to turn around so she could take off what was back there. Another first for me. Bonus on the backside.
If you haven't had a brazilian or any type of bikini wax before, I'd highly recommend going to a girly place like Sugarbox, Luxe Beauty Lounge, Frilly Lilly (all in Yaletown) or your favourite spa. You'll likely pay much more, but they will take the time to educate you on skin care and hair growth and you can look at pretty pink things while you experience the pain. Not that Stripped won't give you the same information, but it's more the type of place that you want to be in and out at. They recommend you to go every 4-6 weeks when you're dedicated to staying mostly hair free, want it to hurt less over time, and it's great if your boyfriend/husband is willing to pay for it. I'd like it even more if they said they used natural products, but I don't know if those types of products exist and if they'd have a factor in price. Oh, and this place is man-friendly! Men can comfortably sport their Speedos for $35 or have it all off for $60 if they're brave enough. Go ahead, I dare ya.
In for 15 minutes, and out. Clean and fast service, minus the Yaletown-y price. -

Very reasonable pricing compared to other places, and Lisa is so pleasant and experienced my first brazilian wax felt as comfortable as something like this can possibly get. They also give you a complimentary I Heart My Muff wipe to take with you to clean and calm the waxed area if you feel the need. Appointment is fast over email or phone and walk-ins are always welcome too, can't say anything bad about them!

Quick, professional, friendly receptionists and waxers- what more can you ask for, especially for $35?

I went there for Brazilian waxing, the only esthetician who does this service for men, is an sought east Asian lady who just doesn't like the job, she just rushes to finish the job ........

Really reasonable prices for the area! I guess Yaletown residents are just in a state of readiness to be gouged, so a $40 full leg wax comes as a lovely surprise. I came in as a walk in on a Saturday and they were able to get me in within minutes due to a cancelation. Check-in is really good, no lengthy forms, just a short little name/phone/email, and get in that room for sorting out. Very professional, excellent results, I'm happy.

It was my 3rd time getting a brazilian (1st time at this location), and wow. Maybe I was just over pampered at Beauty & Beyond near Granville Island but my wax at Stripped Wax Bar today hurt so bad! The employee started really getting into her talk about making her boyfriend do romantic gestures (esp his lack of) and she left the wax on a little too long and wow. I wanted to cry so bad.. My body was sweating cause the pain was so intense. I've never been so uncomfortable in a salon before.
I'd much rather go to Beauty and Beyond near Granville Island again. It's relatively the same price, far better service in terms of brazilian waxing, and faster than my over-talk-about-your-horrible-boyfriend experience that I had at Stripped Wax Bar. -

I have been waxing for years, moved countries and was very nervous about finding a new beautician, the service at stripped wax bar was efficient, relatively painless, and hygenic. There are tissues and baby wipes available for your use before/after your wax, towels to cover your exposed parts. The music is pleasant, Lisa will carry on a conversation if you want it or let you lie in peace if you prefer. She is really quick, and waxes in small patches- minimising pain! She finishes off with some tea-tree moisteriser and I could smell the alcohol on the tweezers- so definately keeps them clean!
The prices seemed good to me, competively priced (all are available on their website). The salon is clean- although I would love it if there was something on the ceiling to look up at while the waxing was going on- although that would go for anywhere
Will definately come back here. -

Thank you twitter for letting me find this place! With an "aaaahh" and an "ooooh", not a painful "aaaahhhh" and "ooooh" mind you, I was perfectly smooth in my lady parts. Don't ask me how Lisa does it, but she provided me with the first painless brazilian wax I've ever had!
Fantastic spot, easily accessible via Canada Line and you can grab some yummy oysters next door to Rodney's after you're clean and smooth -

I had my eyebrows done here the other day, and was pleasantly surprised at how fast - and good! - they were. Easily do-able on a lunch break! For $15 bucks, I'd go here over the other eyebrow place down the street.
The decor was clean - yet modern and cool - fitting for its Yaletown setting. Overall, the services are extremely well priced ($20 bikini? $30 back?).
I'd definitely return for getting my eyebrows done, and look forward to trying some of their other services, too. -

i was slightly apprehensive when trying this place as the price is almost half the going rate for a brazilian in yaletown. fortunately, my fears were unfounded as my aesthetician was fantastic and very efficient. the whole process only took about 15 mins and it was remarkably clean and smooth! the wax was a tad more painful than previous ones I've experienced but it's well worth it for service this cheap. I'll definitely be back!

I have had numerous waxes and various salons and never had a problem. At Stripped, booking was easy and there was no wait. My appointment was Sat. Oct. 16. I had Lisa. I explained the shape I wanted for my Brazilian and confirmed that they do not double dip. I thought the was was hot as opposed to warm, but not unbearably so. She also went over places twice and wasn't very methodical. I didn't think too much of it at the time, other than was a bit more painful than usual, but again not unbearably so. When she was done, I did a quick check for the shape, which was good. She did not give me any post-wax instructions. I went about my day for a few hours, and the stinging and discomfort increased. I went home and ran a warm bath. It was then I discovered I had been burned (or some reaction) to the point of blisters. I had blisters from my hairline all the way down my ass. As as aside, I'm fanatical about my sexual health and am constantly looking at and feeling my vagina. There was nothing out of the ordinary prior to my wax. On Monday the 18th I called in to tell them about my situation. Her response was the wax is always at the same temperature, it's OK to wax the same area twice because of the oil they use, and I wasn't supposed to bathe for 24 hours--which they hadn't mentioned. Granted, I had told them it wasn't my first wax. Also, she said this hadn't happened to anyone ever. My response was that I had dozens of waxes before, and this had never happened to me. She was polite but I didn't really get an apology or any effort to solve the problem, other than to offer to have the esthetician call me. As of today, Oct. 28 I hadn't received a call so I phoned again. I am still blistered. The doctor said I'd just have to wait for it to heal, but some of the bigger ones are more like skin tags now and I'm worried that I'll have to have them removed. The small ones have all cleared up. Lisa did call today, twice with in 10 minutes and left a voicemail stating she has phoned me a few times so could I please call her back. She was in an appointment and I am waiting on her call again. I'll update with any outcome. I'd give 0 stars, but the system won't let me.
UPDATE--Nov. 1
I talked to Lisa on the phone. She was very apologetic and polite, but still insisting that my bath caused/exacerbated the problem. I don't think so. She also admitted she was busy and should have told me to shower only. She offered a free service, which I declined. I asked if there was anything else she could do for me, like a refund. This was no problem and I went and picked up my cash on the weekend. -

I stumbled upon this gem of a wax bar in yaletown yesterday and decided it was time to pop my brazilian cherry. Not only was the staff friendly and knowledgeable, they were extra gentle it being my first time. I have finally found the perfect spot for all of my waxing needs!

Decent pricing, very quick service, cute staff dog, but nothing extraordinary. Wax technician reuses applicators and isn't very chatty at all.
