I am a chocolate chip cookie snob. I can think they're too crispy, to chewy, to cakey, too little chocolate, too much chocolate, or the flavor is just "off".
Diane's chocolate chip cookies are dead on. Take two perfect cookies and throw some vanilla ice cream in the middle and AMAZE-BALLS.
I've has some other baked confections from her, all of which were delicious. I just sit back to see what she's going to come up with next. -

After my foray at Caribreoso at the Microsoft RedWest food truck pod, I walked a few paces over to Street Treats as I wanted to try this desserts truck after coming across it a number of times at food truck festivals.
They are currently in Lower Queen Anne on Thursday. Here is the link to the current locations page, http://streettreatswa....
During my visit, they had a selection of ice cream sandwiches, cookie sandwiches ($3 each), cookies ($1 each) and dessert bars ($2 each). I like that they have numerous exciting flavors to choose from. It is not one of those places that just makes bulk of a few things.
Tried the carmelita bar and the red velvet cookie sandwich. The carmelita as it would indicate in the name contains caramel. It was filled with nuts and has a crumb texture. I am not a big fan of caramel, but I really liked this bar. There is no chewy caramel like a Snickers bar, which I am not a fan of. It is more of a flavor within the whole bar. I would get this again if given the chance. Though I would try something else new from the menu. I like adventure!
The red velvet cookie sandwich has a soft and chewy texture. The dough actually made it seem like this was more of a cupcake. I think this sandwich would be what two cupcakes put together with frosting in the middle would taste like.
Street Treats is a good desserts truck with a nice selection of sweet delights in an array of flavors. Catch this truck if you can! -

Best Ice Cream sandwich i've had by a long shot. I had the chocolate chip cookie with peanut butter ice cream. The CC cookies were perfectly made, moist, chewy with a slight crispness on the outside. The PB ice cream was rich and creamy.

Everything I've tried from Street Treats is just plain good. The brown butter salty krispy treat is just delicious. And I highly recommend snicker doodle/vanilla bean ice cream sandwich. Oh my goodness - over-flowing with yummy.

The "salted brown butter krispy treat" is pretty much the best thing ever!

I went with a friend and got two ice cream sandwiches to share: snickerdoodle cookie and coffee ice cream, and chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream. Each sandwich was $5.
Some of the best ice cream sandwiches I've ever had here. Both the snickerdoodle and the chocolate chip cookie were excellent. Each had the ideal chewiness for an ice cream sandwich. Both ice creams were also at the perfect consistency for sandwiches; it was hard enough for a sandwich, but also soft enough to ensure you're not biting into a dessert brick. The combination of cinnamon and coffee awakens you in more ways than one. And hey, can we get any more classic a combination than chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream? I doubt it. This is a perfect summer treat, and I'm sure foodies like me -- as well as those people with the sweet tooth -- will still nosh away on these even in chilly weather.
Probably the one thing I would have for a concern is the price. $5 does seem a tad pricey for an ice cream sandwich (and $10 for two), but in this case, it was worth it. Check out Street Treats and get yourself an ice cream sandwich pronto! -

Seriously delicious ice cream sandwiches. Features build-your-own ice cream sandwich:
- Choose freshly baked cookie (snickerdoodle!, choc chip, peanut butter, oatmeal)
- Pair with ice cream from their homemade (!) selection (vanilla, chocolate, coffee)
Best concept ever.

Your quest for the perfect ice-cream sandwich is finally at a happy end. Hie thee to the Street Treats truck to pick your cookie flavor and your ice cream flavor, then enjoy soft chewy creamy goodness.
$4 for the ice cream sandwich of your dreams.
$4 will also get you ice cream in a cone, if you're a weirdo who doesn't like cookies. -

Yes please. I've had an ice cream sandwich and also a cookie sandwich at this joint and both were very good. Be ready to pull out the sweet tooth as their is sweetness on top of sweetness.
My cookie sandwich was two chocolate cookies, actually more like chocolate brownies in the shape of a cookie, with peanut butter in the middle. As I bit into it, amazing. As I continued to eat...the sweetness was a bit too much for me. But again, it is called SWEET treats...it's like getting mad that your coffee tastes too much like coffee.
My ice cream sandwich was chocolate chip cookies with peanut butter ice cream in the middle. This was spot on. Although very hard to eat while driving downtown Seattle using your knee to drive with, the tastes were on point. Plus, it seems to really piss people off that while they flip you off for swerving in their lane that you show them your ice cream sandwich...I think they are just jealous.
I highly recommend this for any person with taste buds. If you don't have taste buds. Maybe you could be the designated driver for your friends. -

I can't fully review this dessert truck yet, because I've only tried one item from the menu and it isn't even the ice cream sandwhich! Fine, it was my fault that i got distracted with other food trucks at Mobile Chowdown and lined up for those instead of this. Big mistake on my part. The usual order is to go for appetizer, main entree then dessert right? But after appetizer, I decide to become a tough rebel and directly went for dessert.
So I lined up, upon seeing the mostly crossed off menu, no more ice crem sandwhiches, only nutter butter sandwhich left (no icecream). A sad face, a sad frown. I was this, literally = :(. I found one thing interesting, so I undeniably went what my gut suggested, "brown butter krispy treat". Who doesn't love the good ol' rice krispies transformed into a delicious dessert? No one, or at least anyone from this planet Earth.
It was chewy goodness as it said hello to my taste buds, sweet sweet brown butter, I taste. The butter sort of held it together making a perfectly square block, the butter looks like marshmellow melted cream, or that's not the butter? But, there was something white holding it together, like a sweet addicting glue. Remember how you used to not know drugs and used to smell glue because it was so good, almost like middle school drugs back then. Or smelly pens. Oh that I remember too! This was like that, sweet comfort dessert, addicting after the first bite.
It was really overwhelming my frail sweet scale though, after 5 bites or so, I decided to leave it alone and had my sweet fix for the day. It was good though, believe me. I was just a weak dojo fighter that needs practice to combat the sweet masters of the culinary world.
As Arnold Swarchenegger said on Terminator:
"I'll be back!"
Just you wait, soon enough, young grasshopper. I shall get what I want and you can't deny my requests for eternal glory of the ice cream sandwhich experience. Behold my presence in the near future! -

These treats are great! Homemade taste! Cookies are perfectly baked! crisp on outside chewy (not goooy) in the middle. I hate raw cookies in the middle. The bars are amazing as well. I look forward to trying more goodies!

Tried the treats at the Fremont Market today and OMG, my tastebuds are still dancing.
I tried one of their make your own ice cream sandwiches and went with Snickerdoodle with fruit sorbet. Soft, rich and buttery snickerdoodle cookie was the perfect match for the tart and not too sweet berry sorbet.
I couldn't resist a second round so I went back for a cookie sandwich. I had a red velvet with cream cheese and it was fantastic.
If my waistline could handle it I would have even gone for a third round and tried one of the cookie bars (coconut looked really good) but I'll have to save that for next time I see them at the market.
UPDATE: Went back again a week later and had a coconut lime cookie bar. So freakin' good. If I keep attending the Fremont market I'm going to gain 20 lbs this summer. -

Crazy-good ice cream sandwich. If you see this truck, go get one and you will see why. The cookie was baked perfectly for this application. I will say it did start to get messy but that just gave me a reason to eat it fast (which I was glad it happened because I had no other reason to be scarfing it down as I was doing anyways). Also had the brown-butter rice krispy treat, though delicious in its own right, it still had nothing on the ice cream sandwich.

The following transcript is based on a true experience. Details and identifiers have been changed to protect the identity of those involved:
Me: Oh look, another food cart selling desserts. How flipping original.
Street Treats: Won't you try my lime poppyseed cookie, or my cornmeal blackberry whoppie pie?
Me: Whoppie pies? The year 2000 and Oprah are calling and they want their fad back.
Street Treats: My humble food cart has no phone line...
Me: Whatever, I'll take one of each.
*nom nom nom*
Me: Why am I in nirvana?
Street Treats: I use imported tears of Buddha in all my baked goods.
Me: Is that how you get your cookies so tender? And your whoopie pies so delicate? And your flavors so vibrant and lovely?
Street Treats: The path to enlightenment is long. -

MAKE-YOUR-OWN ICE CREAM SANDWICHES? I'm sold!
With cookie options such as chocolate chip, peanut butter caramel, snickerdoodle, and some I can't remember and STUMPTOWN COFFEE ICE CREAM it's hard to say that this won't be a great ice cream sandwich. At $4 a pop they seem a little pricey, but one bite into that thing and you'll know it was worth it!
Rona L, Jordan E, and I tried snickerdoodle and peanut butter ice cream-- an unexpected combination, but sooo good! The ice cream was mildly peanut buttery and not overpowering and the snickerdoodles were perfectly cinammoned and soft and chewy.
I had never heard of Street Treats before, but now I'm going to hunt them down because I find myself craving chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches on a pretty regular basis and there's nothing like the real deal!Listed in: Food to go - literally!

Very tasty treat on a warm end of summer day! Chocolate carmel cookie was chewy and held together some delicious triple berry ice-cream in sandwich form. $4 wasn't too shabby, big enough for an adult or two cousins sharing. ;P
... Only thing was I couldn't tell what the other two berries were aside from the strawberry... oh well! more reason to taste their other creations! -
Review from Rona L.
I convinced the boyfriend to get his dessert from Sweet Treats, during Mobile Chowdown, so that I could share while I also got my dessert somewhere else...
They had $4 custom build ice cream sandwiches! He's a little more daring than I, so he opted for a Snickerdoodle cookie and Peanut Butter ice cream. Snickerdoodle? LOVE. Peanut butter? YUMM. Why not put them together?? I was surprised at how well the two flavors complimented each other! The cookie was soft, yummy, and cinnamony while the ice cream had just enough taste of peanut butter without being overkill.
I wish that I could say I have the ambition to go looking for this cart in Seattle, but I just don't have it in me. But if I happen to see it, I'm definitely stopping by! -

The Street Treats truck is in Madrona today (and they'll be back for the Madrona festival on July 24th. They've only been in operation for four weeks, so it seems they're still trying out new places to station themselves (but you can see their current schedule or check out their twitter feed about their location on their website).
They had various cookies, cookie sandwiches, bars, and ice cream sandwiches for sale. Everything was made from scratch, and they were priced reasonably ($2.75 for a carrot cake cookie sandwich).
I'm not sure if their offerings are special or different enough to search it out over another permanently housed establishment, but definitely if you see it on the street it's totally worth grabbing something for your sweet tooth!Listed in: Dessert Places Around Seattle

I'm so happy that they were down the street from Harborview today. They had a pretty good variety of sweets such as cookies, ice cream and brownies. I finally settled for making my own ice cream sandwich, which consisted of Mexican chocolate ice cream sandwiched between 2 chocolate chip cookies. The lady at the truck told me that all the baked goods are homemade but the ice cream is locally brought. Anyways, if you love chocolate (like I do) this sandwich was perfect! I also like how the cookie wasn't too soft and chewy but not rock hard.
I also agree that they need to start driving around at night. I would so get an ice cream sandwich after a night of dancing. -

I've been going to Street Treats for over a year now, almost every week. They make great cookies and cookie bars (not all of them will be for everyone, but they should have something for every non-diabetic out there), but for my money, the best things are their sandwich cookies. The red velvet sandwich cookie is better than most red velvet cakes I've ever tried.

You know, I've always been wary of food trucks but more and more I've come to discover they offer some of the best things! Street Treats is certainly no exception!
The very lovely and talkative lady behind this concept spends all day travelling to various locations across the city selling her personal dessert creations such as cookies, salted rice krispy treats, marshmallow bars & my personal favorite; build your own ice cream sandwich!
OMG YUM is all I can say with the various options of cookies and my favorite ice cream which is from Bluebird Ice Cream on Capitol Hill.
This truck is amazing and if you ever need to find her, just look her up on Facebook or Twitter. Streettreatswa is gold! -

A mobile dessert truck creates a dangerous situation. Seattle's existing fleet of lunch trucks already make me think "well, they're only here once a week, so why not give it a shot?", and a dessert truck makes me think "it doesn't matter how filling lunch was, because I only get one chance a week to buy a brownie out of a truck." Danger!
In general the treats are pretty good. The novelty is mostly in in the method, but they admirably hand it to your local corporate "deli", work cafeteria, or coffee shop. The carmelita, for example, is every unhealthy snack (chocolate, caramel, nuts, crumb topping...) rolled into a single bar cookie without feeling too rich or unreasonably sweet. The best and most interesting experience is the ice cream sandwich, made to order with cookies and ice cream of your choosing.
What Street Treats really needs to do is start roaming at night. Put this menu in front of a stoner and you could sell out in ten minutes.
In short, the truck is a great place to visit if it pulls up in front of you, if not necessarily worth a drive across town. A cookie is a cookie, and while Street Treats can't quite compete with, say, the Dahlia Bakery, they can certainly put FSA and Safeway to shame. -

We rolled into Beacon Hill this last Friday after a grueling 13 hour drive through eastern Washington heat and went immediately in search of the Street Treats truck which was parked this last Friday right across from the light rail station. We had to try more than one thing so we had a home made ice cream sandwich with double chocolate cookies and mixed berry ice cream and an equally amazing full flavored espresso ice cream made with Stumptown coffee both of which were amazing.
Please Please Please keep coming to Beacon Hill! -

I love Street Treats! I first became a fan when the truck was parked on Rainier next to the taco bus. I was so excited when Diane started bringing the truck to my work. The variety is incredible and I can honestly say I haven't had anything that I thought I could make better at home. I've tried the lime/coconut bar, coconut brownie, tiramisu sandwich cookie, snickerdoodles, and red velvet cookie sandwich. When I know Street Treats is coming to work that week, I totally look forward as does everyone in my office.

I love that this truck parks right in front of my workplace! I always tell myself that I'll just get one treat, but inevitably I always walk away with two treats. The brown butter rice crispy treat is my favorite followed by the chocolate covered marshmallow. The cookies are yummy, the bars are yummy, and the ice cream is yummy. You really can't go wrong with anything here.

This place was a only a few feet away from Matt's Po Boy truck and I had to have a treat after my sandwich so I stopped and got a brownie. Definitely one of the better brownies I've had, total was $1.75. I think I'll be back because I gotta try the "make your own" ice cream sandwiches.

Wow - just saw the Street Treats truck for the first time and took a chance on their peanut butter cookies. They were delicious - very good peanut butter taste, and not overcooked (I hate cookies that break apart into tons of tiny crumbs from over cooking). After eating the two cookies I thought about walking back to get more. I know I'll become a regular - no one in the area has better tasting cookies.

I love it! I live in Beacon and now plan my Friday nights so I can stop and get dessert. I've tried the ice cream, coconut cookies and the brownies. Everything I've had is excellent and the lady who runs it is super nice.
