The atmosphere and vibe of Strait Coffee is upbeat and cosy. A great place to meet with friends and enjoy a cup of tea, a coffee, or share one of their divinely decadent cheescakes.
I'm a big fan of their Matcha Lattes.
The prices are comparable to big companies like Starbucks, maybe a few cents more. All the baking is done in house and they roast their own coffee too, which for me makes it worth the extra pennies. -

We lucked out with this stop on the coast. This is a nice, locally owned cafe that roasts their own fair trade beans. With a pretty good layout, nice decor and limited outside seating offered, this is probably the local place to sit and surf.
They were near closing when we 4 travelers arrived but our welcome was warm regardless. At least I can say that for the barrista. I felt that she was being hurried a bit by the owner couple to complete the sale and sweep us out, I also felt a bit gypped that they charged me 57cents to have Soy in an 8oz cup (which I brought in, myself, I mean come on!)
Maybe for a 20 oz I could understand the charge, but for this teeny sized cup it was too much coupled together with the owner woman's curtness, leaving a bad taste in my mouth that overrode the flavour of my lovely Soy Capp.
I would however stop in again on another ramble. -
