Review from Roma M.
During the past 7 summers or so, I've ventured out here for a traditional vintage escapade. Stella Luna never let me down. I've found feminine sweaters for layering made of rich wool, silk tops, and old school pumps.
While my aesthetic is now a little more inclined towards the more antiquated, I always find something of my liking. The owner is very pleasant and she seems to be attached to her pieces.
When it comes to vintage, I'd definitely make the trip out west here instead of spending it in Kensington.Listed in: February Food-Free Yelping…

i use to be a huge vintage clothing fan. my passion for vintage clothing has simmered down a bit after years of bad quality vintage clothing at ridiculous prices. Stella Luna is still one of my most treasured vintage haunts in Toronto. when I first moved to parkdale in 2004 this was my first fine vintage store that i had the pleasure of discovering. Not only are the clothes in excellent condition, they are truly beautiful- not like some of the rags you get at kensington market that reek of mold and fall apart.
The owner is an absolute sweetheart. She is very helpful and even goes as far to show you hidden gems that are in the basement if you are looking for something specific. I have found a whole lot of beautiful items in this store for fair prices from vintage silk dresses to antique jewelry and well maintained purses.
The highlight of this store for me was their yearly outdoor sales. I don't know if they still do this but they would have 50% off sales during the summer that I would take time off work to go to! One of my favorite jackets (a royal blue velvet jacket with rhinestone buttons) came from this sale for only $10! It's still in great shape after 6 years of wear.
The store is well organized, all racks are by colour and shoes are up front in the window for easy access (not scattered all over the place like some vintage stores). The store has odd hours from what I've noticed so it's best to call ahead to find out when they are open. Overall this little shoppe is a gem in parkdale, I hope it's there for a long, long time!Listed in: BEAUTY, HEALTH & SHOPPING

This tiny, gorgeous little shop is filled with beautiful things. The clothes are sorted by colour, which is helpful when you've been told by your best friend that she wants all her bridesmaids in orange dresses (TRUE STORY), but not so much when you're bigger than the vintage ideal--you're going to spend a lot of time having your heart broken when you pull out gorgeous dresses only to realize that there's no point in even trying them on.
My favourite parts of this store are the sale rack on the sidewalk (I think it's just a summer thing) and the awesome accessory collections: gloves in every colour, matching hats and handbags, gorgeous shoes. This place has everything you need to complete an outfit (though I usually go elsewhere for the base of the outfit). -

If you're looking for an awesome vintage store that doesn't reek of moth balls or hipsters, this is the place. A little gem on Queen West in Roncesvalles, this store has amazing dresses from every era and are for the most part all under $50. I got a fabulous sequin blazer, very Dynasty-esque, not to long ago and it has more than paid for itself in compliments. The owner is a vintage fashionista who you will love almost as much as the clothes for sale. This place also has amazing vintage purses and luggage. Check it out for something different and unique.

Another west Parkdale fav that never disappoints. The jewelry collection is amazing and I love how the cloths are sorted by colour. Shoes and purses fill the front window and there is often a rack outside with great sale items. Sometimes designer items can be found but I usually find really interesting vintage pieces here. When brunching in the area (Easy, Mitzi's) I always take a quick peek inside Stella Luna to see what treats I can find.
