Best clinic I've ever been to. The Dr. knew what was wrong with me right away. BRONCHITIS, WOO! I've never been so happy to find out how sick I was, haha!
Really though, pretty solid Dr. and the staff are friendly (which doesn't happen often in medical clinics). So glad I went here. The wait time wasn't even 5 minutes, sweet. -

this is the best medical clinic i've been to in vancouver. it's very modern and clean, the reception staff is great, and so are the doctors.
of course you'll have to wait (one of the consequences of free health care in canada) but it's worth it. the doctors are amazing and thorough, and i always feel like they know what they're talking about. i'm very picky about my doctors, but the ones that work here are absolutely incredible. -

Dr Berlyn is the best. i feel like he actually cares and listens. He will not just run in, prescribe drugs and throws you out. All the staff here are super helpful, caring all around nice people. The only down fall is you have a long wait but its worth it i swear!!

Dr Stein & Dr Briggs are both terrfic. Me and my family have been seeing Dr Stein for over 4 years now, and I can't recommend him and his clinic enough. The whole teams seems to be very knowledgable and truly cares about their patients well-being.

Never thought I'd review a medical clinic, and I'm simultaneously wondering if I should keep it to myself or not....
You know how you go to a clinic, and you finally get in, and you mention the one thing you're there for...then depending on the mood of the doctor you've gotten, you debate whether to bring up another concern you have, or the other three that are on your list....but half the time you just leave after your main thing has been addressed because you know how many people are waiting and you know that the doctor is rushing you a bit. WELL, my downtown clinic-seeking friends, this place is not that. AT ALL.
I had a sharp pain in my shoulder after moving an exercise bike into storage (IRONY!), and finally went here to get it checked out based on a colleagues recommendation. The doctor was great, and while examining my shoulder and determining which muscles are torn, he also noticed something else that seemed out of whack and asked some more questions, determining that I should get some testing done. What clinic doctor goes above & beyond like that? Totally unrelated potential issue, too.
Aside from the awesome Doctor, the admin staff is also great. Fast service. There's also a women's clinic, which I believe you can make appointments for. Considering it takes me 6 months to get in with my GP, I plan to come back here more often. -

You will not be disappointed!
Best Medical care I have ever received and I've seen 4 different practitioners.
The decor is perfect, the receptionists are friendly and efficient.
They don't rush you through you can bring up more than one issue at once.
Seriously, they put many to shame...
oh yeah, good magazines as well, who knew! -

Honestly don't waste your time. The doctors are great yes, but the clinic is nutorious for losing exam results, not telling you when they are in and not making it the least bit easy to get the results once they are in. You can't make an appointment unless the doctor requests you see them? That is just ridiculous. I have gone by 4 times now to have them tell me they have reached their client limit for the day and they can't see me, and that I can't book an appoitment unless the doctor requests one? You've got to be kidding me?!!?! When I asked what they suggest I do to get my results since I can't book and they exceed their client limit everyday so they can't see me, they told me "I'm sorry mame, that is how it is done". UNREAL!!!

Very kind and professional Docs there. Yes, you have to wait a bit but it is Canada. :)

I like the doctors here. It's a very contemporary office. The only problem is the front end staff. For the most part, they do not speak English well. The most frustrating is asking about test results and the Japanese girl puts some Filipino girl on the phone who clearly, did not understand what I was asking or saying. I'd ask about some blood test result and she told me she works at St. Paul's. Does that compensate for the fact that she can't grasp the English language well. I had to stop and think about what I had just finished asking as she NEVER once answered one of my questions. It frightens me to know there are people that work in the medical field playing Russian Roulette with our lives by hiring people who can not comprehend or converse in English very well. Perhaps, this clinic should hire local born and bred Canadians instead of hiring temporary foreign workers. Every single time I go there, they have different front-end staff.
They finally hired some big-eyed adorable Asian girl who speaks very good English. Now for the rest of the front-end staff that can't speak English well.... If you have time to waste and patience to try, then go to this clinic to frustrate yourself speaking to non-English speaking people trying to explain test results. Or wait 4-6 hours just to get in to see a doctor. -

I am afraid that my second experience is not as positive as my first! I waited a week for an appointment with Dr Briggs, then was told he had left for the day when I arrived! No phone call or apology. Then I was told I could see the "female" Dr that was on call but has to wait since only one Dr was on duty. Then after waiting for 1/2 hour in the booth I went back to reception...and was told I could make another appointment and wait another week to see him! Seriously ! In additions the reception staff was curt and rude acting like my time was not important! What was the whole point of making an appointment in the first place!

I have been seeing Dr. Stein since they first moved into Bentall 5 (for the past 7 years), although I am not working in Bentall 5 anymore, I still come back to see Dr. Stein. He is very knowledgeable and very caring. So is Dr. Briggs. I've been to other walk-in clinics downtown (only when I can't get an appointment at Stein Medical), Dr. Stein is still the best out of all the other walk-in clinic doctors in my opinion.

I'm definitely amused to be awarding a medical clinic with a 5-star rating, but Stein Medical Clinic deserves it tenfold, along with the other awards it has received for design and architecture. It is a truly lovely space, very calm and orderly and less austere and scary than the usual clinic environment. Stein covers every nearly every spectrum of medical services, from the walk-in clinic to general practice, travel medicine, women's health (ob-gyn), sports medicine, corporate health, flu shots, massage therapy, acupuncture, and dietician and nutrition services. The walk-in clinic is open without appointment from 8:30am to 5:30pm while the other services can be booked ahead of time with a phone call. The resident doctors are many and friendly, as is the front staff. For ESL students and tourists, Stein also offers medical translation services. This may be the first and last time I rave about a doctor's office, so take my word for it!
