Service department just plain sucks. Just stood waiting while the service manager talked on the phone with a friend about something he should've put him on hold for. Do your job at work; socialize on your own time and not at the expense of customers. I've been here time and time again simply because they're close and convenient but have always felt less than content with the service. Dartmouth Hyundai is waaaaay better.
Man, this story just keeps getting worse. 10:30 appointment, 1 hour passed and my car hasn't even moved from where I parked.
Please don't think I'm judging this dealer on one visit alone. I'm currently driving my third Hyundai and have had them all serviced in one of two locations in HRM. The problem with Steele is that it consistently disappoints me with things like these:
- failure to update my information after I've asked them to do so on more than one occasion.
- tell me they have a part on order and never call back (that was about 8 months ago)
- constantly never get in on my scheduled appointment time.
Now I just got billed for two hours labour but only had one hour's work. That was their last chance. I'm taking my bill somewhere else to see what kind of difference in price I could've got.

Took my Accent in to have a knocking rear seat latch fixed under warranty. Their solution was to just wrap it in electrical tape and hope I wouldn't notice. Also wanted my screeching breaks service. Got it back, breaks still screeching, and knocking and warped. Took it back and asked them to do it again...same thing. Took it back again and asked general manager to make sure it was done properly. Breaks are a little better, but still squealing. I was told it was because my break pads were after after market not Hyundai. Well then put Hyundai pads on and get rid of the screeching like I asked the first time. how did it take 3 trips for them to figure that out?! Never will I go here again for a paid job..and always double check the quality of their warranty work. As long as I live in Halifax I will never buy another Hyundai simply because I don't want to deal with this dealership anymore. The service department really needs to get it together.

well i guess some people cannot read an entire writeup very well as i stated in the first writeup i purchased the lemon form steele hyundai "brand new off the front row" so there were no miles on it ! i waxed the car once a week and faithfully had it undercoated and oil changes regularly as you can see in the picture the car was a 1 owner 1 driver car and in the picture it is 3 years old i am saying that any dealership that would take parts off a car in the parking lot to fix mine is not a honest dealership and this was done with me watching the service manager doing so the car shouldnt have needed 5 brand new batteries in 3 years as there is certainly some kind of an electrical shortage each time the 2007 accent gl was put on " their computer" i was told there were dead cells in the battery why? 5 brand new batteries from their dealership? well just wait until you have problems and the staff laugh at you instead of taking the car in and fixing it properly or perhaps the mechanics arent trained well enough to detect an electrical short a battery huh someone doesnt know what they are doing anyone who values the expence of a car trust me do not buy it from steele hyundai after all the name tells it all about this dealership !
