WOW! WOW! WOW!
This place is Polish sausage heaven! Despite the 15 minute wait at the deli counter I was kept entertained by the numerous sample options available to me. Starsky has easily a dozen different Polish sausage varieties and types.
The grocery store is huge - I was surprised by how massive it was - every type of Polish food is available along with regular groceries as well. The name tags which tell who speaks what language is an awesome idea.
I like sausage and the sausage likes me at Starsky's!

This store really amazed me! The deli is huge. It has every type of sausage imaginable, not much poultry, tons of cheeses, and lots of smoked fish and roe. There is a full bakery with tempting goodies. Aisles are full of domestic and European packaged goods. The produce section is good. They have wonderful homemade pickles and sauerkraut, which for me was the goldmine! On top of that, I like just browsing and looking at all the things they have. I got their chicken souvlaki, which is prepared for home grilling , and it was amazing.
Service is helpful and efficient. If you plan to go regularly ask about the Starsky's card which will save you on your purchases. Love love love this store! -

Coming from a European background I love shopping at Starsky.
The store focuses on providing all kinds of foods from the Slovak part of Europe.
They also carry fresh produce and a HUGE selection of pastries,Deli Meats and even a butcher shop.
At the front of the store you can find a news stand and a travel agency "PIAST TRAVEL"
The smartest thing that the store owners came up with is to actually put
" I speak 'put employees language here' " name tags.
One negative about this place is a bit more expensive than other supermarkets like Fortinos or Longos. -

The best polish grocer in the city. I decided to come grocery shopping here to grab some polish sausage and smoked salmon. The produce is top notch and the prices are fair.
I only bought a few things, but I could tell that everything was very fresh and the staff was very friendly. -

A friend of mine brought me to this polish supermarket and I was impresssed with the selection that they offer. It was the first time that I was able to try different types of cheeses such as irish flavored cheese. It was sliced from a brick and had an exotic flavor. There are many types of breads and pastries. I also found a huge container of white grapefruit juice.
This supermarket offers a lot of products that cannot be found in other grocery stores.
The only drawback is that it is located in Mississauga and I live downtown Toronto. -

Holy Eastern European Food Emporium!
If you happen to be looking for food that is pickled, this is your store. I jest, of course. Starsky's has a pretty good selection of veggies, specifically for the burbs. And where you would normally find the olive bar? Pickle barrel(s)!!!
Though the deli/meats/cheese selections don't resemble true global choices, there is a good selection overall...including "Marblé". I didn't notice prices being any cheaper, but you can find things that wouldn't be available in Blahblaw's.
Strange and unusual products that had me scratching my head, wondering what exactly could be inside those cans (and glass jars) make me feel that I need to experiment more, or at least travel further east.Listed in: The Sausage

By far the best european store in Toronto.
A little expensive compared to some smaller stores, but it's deffinetely worth it. A huge selection of products from canned goods, to drinks, to frozen goods, to baked food, meats, cheeses, take out food, etc etc
Ive been here a couple of times to buy lunch and the food is great as well. The only thing I dislike about this place is that it's kinda far from me! So it's not one of those places you can drive to everyday. -

Great supermarket for polish food - includes butcher, deli and baked goods sections, as well as cosmetics and newspapers / books / magazines sections - just check the expiration dates as some foods are either expired or the dates have been erased / cut out etc... happened on some condiments... and its not cheap so if you just need a few things you're better off going to a smaller places in the area - overall very nice, clean and convenient (you can also apply for a Starsky card for extra discounts)

Drop in on a weekday around noon and sample hundreds of sausages and cheeses in this Polish supermarket, tons of juices, plum stuffed donuts, kefir drinks. You will buy something after what you sampled.

Polish supermarket is immaculately clean and has a terrific selection of cold cuts and cheeses, as well as good meats. As previous reviewer mentioned, some prices are cheap, and being in Mississauga (just over the line) the plastic bags are free (yes, I know I'll be chastised as politically incorrect for mentioning this). In general, I found the prices of sausages and cold cuts very reasonable, not as much so the cheeses (but then I am American and not yet used to Canada's highly inflated cheese prices). Chocolates and candy are also a good bargain, especially the Polish and Eastern European varieties which are sometimes better than Swiss or German brands. They also have a nice produce section with a good selection. And as one would expect in a Polish supermarket, there are lots of varieties of frozen pierogies. The bakery goods could be a tad more inspiring but that is a minor quibble.

Review from L. T.
Great supermarket with food, household and cosmetic products from Poland, Croatia, Germany, Austria, Hungary, France, Ukrania, Russia, and others. Incredible choice of high quality European meat and cheese products (including prosciuttos) at almost 50% of the price compared to Dominion, Sobey's, Loblaw's,...etc. Great variety of European chocolates such as MIlka, Lindt, and others. Many high quality honey and jam products. Excelllent European delicatessen. Great pickled product (e.g. Bavarian sauerkraut in wine).
