This used to be called Legends before the renos.  Other than that, it has pretty much the same layout, with an eating/drinking area downstairs.  I find that the surroundings are dark because of the way it is painted.

Foodwise, it's still pub grub to me.  Maybe a bit better than Smileys,..... actually, maybe more than just a bit better.

It's not a bad place for a drink or two after work.  I usually will not try anything too fancy for food at establishments like this because it can be hit or miss.  I stay with something that is safe, using the term loosely,  like a burger or anything deep-fried.  Food is OK from that standpoint, but otherwise not spectacular.

I sat down with a girlfriend in hopes of getting a good drink and cheap meal - that's exactly what we got.

I'd never been to the St Regis before and I found the atmosphere positively relaxing and casual. Mojitos were on special and were a little sugary but quite good - and exactly what we needed. We were looking for comfort food so we shared the chicken fingers and the cheesecake, and they were exactly what I would have expected for the type of place and the price. We were pleased.

Next time I'm looking for a casual cocktail, I'll keep this place in mind :)

We enjoyed appetizers and drinks after checking into our rooms at the St. Regis Hotel.
It looks like a place where regulars meet because I saw many patrons being greated like old friends, including some hugging by the servers. We had no complaints about the food, decor or service. Our server, Rachelle made sure we weren't forgotten, with numerous (but not annoying) stops at our table to make sure we were happy. Looked like the locals were enjoying the day's hockey match at the many big screen televisions. All in all, a fun place!

Was here for a quick work lunch. Service was prompt, warm, and friendly.  Menu selection seemed like slightly more upscale pub fare. I had the Blondie Strawberry Salad and added the grilled chicken for $16 total. Chicken was dry and spinach leaves were not fresh. Not too impressed with that. Though the portions were big, and I had enough take-away for a light afternoon snack.

Lots of big TV's everywhere, so I'd imagine this may be a good place to catch a sport game.

After my fond memories from the Yelp event, I decided to bring some friends here for drinks.  The place was okay, but after 30 mins we were really glad we didn't order food and we were sitting at a higher table and our feet were off the ground--because we saw a rat.  And we didn't just see 1 rat.. we saw multiple! We counted about 7 sightings during the 2 hours we were there. :-/

Come on, St. Regis. Get some pest control.

Otherwise, service was okay. The first server told us certain beer pints were on special for $5 but I noticed we were charged $6 for them on the bill.

I went here a lot during the Olympics. It was ok, not great, but decent enough.

The food is pretty standard pub fare. Hamburgers, nachos, perogies. The veggie burger is pretty tasty but the fries are hit or miss. There have been two occasions where friends have sent the french fries back because they were cold, soggy and old looking. Ew, wrinkly fries!

The drink prices are ok, depending on what you're in the mood for. Some stuff can be kind of pricey. Usually they have specials each day of the week, so you'll be able to find something to drink :)

This isn't my favourite place to go, but I don't mind going every couple of months or so. The last time I went was a lot better than during the Olympics. Back in February they had the RUDEST, weirdest old man bouncer in the world. I didn't even know he actually worked at the bar, I thought he was just a grouchy old dude standing in front of the door. Glad I haven't seen him since then, I can't express how rude he was. I almost yelled at him when he wouldn't let my friend back inside after going out for a smoke. He wouldn't listen, just kept saying "we're at capacity, we're at capacity! We already had a table! Jeez!

I'm not a HUGE fan of this place... I go in from time to time with coworkers on our lunch break but their menu doesn't appeal to me. I know I make it harder on myself by being one of those annoying veggie folks ;P so I try not to expect much when I go to pubs, as they are usually very  "meaty".

I went there again today out of indifference when my coworker friend suggested it. I saw a sign outside saying they had a special on perogies so I was cool with it.

The waitress we had today was so super sweet. When I asked if the broccoli and asparagus soup was made with either chicken or beef stock she knew immediately that it was chicken and told me without giving any attitude (and believe me, I've gotten some of that before).

I did end up going with the perogies, and in place of the bacon and sausage, I requested some tomatoes be fried up with the onions. She was very nice about it and my coworker ordered the same thing.

The food tasted pretty good. Not amazing. The perogies could have been fried a little longer, at least for some colour. There were only 3 very tiny slices of tomato in place of the meat, but everything did taste quite good. It wasn't a whole lot of food. I finished the whole plate and I still have room for more. They probably are way more filling if you order them with the meat.

Everything was very fast. I think we were in and out in about half an hour and we weren't rushed at all. We even had a nice table near the window so I could watch the foot traffic.

This has become an ole standby fir me when in Vancouver.  A great financial district lunch spot and a fine place for a quick drink.  I can't get enough of the Cobb salad, although they can be heavy handed on the dressing.  It is very spacious and a great staff.  Consistent is good so that makes the St. Regis great!

I'll give it 2.5 stars but 2 stars is based on FOOD ONLY. The waitress we had was super friendly... unlike the other one who seemed grumpy when she seated us.

I ordered the fish and chips - really craving it. At first, I thought it was a good idea that it was lightly fried.. but then realized that it seemed a little soggy and undercooked altogether. The fries were bland, no seasoning, and luke warm and clearly pre-frozen. The best part of the dish was the tartar sauce.

Hunny's taco salad was decent.. the bowl was crispy and the overall meal seemed filling. I was hoping for dessert .. but they had no APPLE PIE :(.

I went to St. Regis a couple of a years ago for an event an organization I was part of hosted--back then we had the basement seating area and to be honest I didn't think it was that bad. I thought it was fairly decent.

Now flash forward two years, and here I am again--with a group of friends for my going away party. I initially wanted to go to Kingston Pub, but they were bought out that night for an event, so I thought "okay, why not St. Regis, I'm sure they'll have seating..."

I could have never imagined a more horrible venue to host this going away! The only thing they had going from them was the fact that there was a lot of seating...but I probably should have taken that as a cue to not go there! There were several reasons as to why this place harboured such disappointment, but I'll just list a handful.

Side note: I have worked in the food service industry for almost 3 years, so I am always sympathetic towards people working in restaurants, cafes, pubs, etc...so for me to write this review is really something.

    Horrible Service:
If a group is expected to pay 20% Gratuity (already included in the bill when it arrived) the service should be at least decent. But to give atrocious service just because the waitress "knows" she'll get tips regardless is terrible. I'll explain, there were two tables reserved for us, we arrived at the bar at 6:30pm--our waitress greeted us with "attitude" and gave us the menu and left. She came back literally 15-20mins later to ask if we wanted drinks, by this time most of us were already starving. Oh, for some reason she was standing right beside me and managed to skip my order--she took everyone's order around the table and just didn't even bother asking me what I wanted. As if that wasn't bad enough, my boyfriend had to go "EXCUSE ME" three times before she even decided to walk over with more attitude and go "yes?!" As well, for some odd reason she couldn't take our food order with our drink order--how does that make any sense? By this time, the other table was seated as well, and I went over to ask my friends why they weren't drinking anything and...guess what? "She didn't come to take any orders yet"

At this point, 5 of my friends left to go to another restaurant to eat, because the waitress took so long to get any orders in! As the hostess of this gathering I was sorely disappointed to see them leave but honestly I wouldn't have tried to stop them anyways.

Lack of "vibe" & dull atmosphere:
Again, I'm not expecting a party place or anything of the sort--but the overall attitudes of the server, manager etc..there was just bad. It didn't seem as though anyone wanted to be there, and in turn the people working there was rubbing off their bad vibes onto the customers. Oh, one of my friends and her boyfriend got kicked out of the place because the boyfriend didn't have any photographic ID, it was burned in an accident---even if he said he wasn't going to order anything, or drink anything he wasn't allowed to be in the pub just because he didn't have photo identification. It wasn't as though anyone in this group was underaged anyways, but apparently the management was super strict about it. Which was funny, since my other friends came in a bit later and weren't even ask to show any identification. So much for being "strict" about it.

    Mediocre Food:
It's a pub, so it wasn't like the food can fail too horribly. I had a burger and my friends got pasta--just from what I heard from my friends the pasta was bland, their burgers weren't good. The patty was overdone and I think during the night someone made a crack at how a McDonald's burger would have been better and the sad thing was, it probably would have been!

    Conclusion:
Overall, I was very displeased by the experience. I could tell that my friends were not having a good time, to be frank everyone looked glum and I could tell that we were all thinking about getting out of this place. At around 8:15pm, I told my friends "you know what? This place really sucks. Lets bounce." That's what we did and we'll never look back.

I dropped by St. Regis recently to watch a hockey game and have a few drinks with friends.  The crowd was loud and lively, the servers friendly, and the appy-sized sliders were excellent.  Our glasses didn't run empty for the entirety of the game either which is always a plus when cheering for the 'nucks increasingly incoherently.

We came here to hang out at the bar while our room was being cleaned at the St. Regis Hotel. The bartender was knowledgeable about the beers on tap. I had a local lager which was ok. My boyfriend had a glass of reisling and it seemed like the glass was dirty because the wine had lots of bubbles in it like it was soapy. It also had a white swirl in it which we'd never seen in wine before. He pointed it out to her and got another class but it ended up looking the same. The bar was totally empty at 2 pm on a Monday. It was ok but nothing special.
