Review from Markus H.
North Vancouver, BC
This review is for the Weekend Market on Hunter Street in North Van only. Their main business is home delivery of organic and local products / groceries. For these services check out: http://www.organicsath...
4 stars for the weekend market because they have a good variety of local products, friendly staff and they have samples to make sure that you will find something new every time you go there. I also appreciated that they had at least three tills in operation to make sure that you don't have to wait (and crowd the place).
I was always looking for a market like that and it seems that I have found it. I like to go to a "farm" market which is not cluttered with arts and crafts and other schnik schnak which I can't put on my plate. The place is a bit hidden in an industrial area next to Seylynn Park and you have to go by a small herd of red and white delivery trucks from Canada Post along Hunter Street before you can see the place. It is a little bit tucked away but there is signage to tell you were to go. I got some great local garlic, a squash, onions and other items. I am looking forward to the squash soup this week! -

What a quirky place to shop! Drive up a lane bordering a park, and look for the docking bay, which Sunday was hiding behind a postal truck. Whew- there it is!
I thought there would be deals, where are the deals?
For me the prices are too high, but that's just how it is. I only went to check it out for fun but if you live nearby, I'm sure it's a good alternative shopping option.
Pricey organic green$, a really good assortment of lactose free chee$es, -(if you can afford 8 or 9 dollars for cheese then please consider yourself lucky). There are lots of the alternative cereal choices and other packaged goods, and some good quality hot chocolate brands, pastas including corn pasta for us non-glutes which are all averagely priced.
Nice to see *Eightfold Eats non gluten goodies for sale too.
Yummy cookie, (at least I can afford something here.)
* http://eightfoldeats.com/ You can get these snacks at a bunch of cafes now. 'Like' !
